Mostly, the main points is being clean - washing hands after being outdoors, staying home when sick, etc. Obama talked a bit about this on his 100th day in office.

Aviod anyone that's sick... Just any normal flu-season prevention. (I honestly don't know what I do different, I just know I wanted to hide when I got sick right when it broke out.)
We need more of a prediction for what's going to happen. Are the numbers going to keep rising? (As of 5-06,) 44 states had confirmed cases, when in the next few days, will the number reach 50? Anymore deaths?
I've got a graph (missing the 2nd of May) going on for a Bio class... The increase is interesting.

One thing is true. It will keep spreading all around the world.
It would be able to stop with doing that if Traveling to other countries is not more allowed.
Also heard a rumour that because of a fault of a scientist this mutated virus is out in this world now

I can believe the second part. It's a mix of the human influenza, the avian influenza, and the plain old swine flu. Where would you find a mix of that? Has to be labatory made.

yeah but that rumour is about that someone digged up the old corpses to test someting out with that virus.
But by doing this he set it free into the world.
In my eyes it more sounds like its all a made up story to find an solution for this problem

may just be a result of natural selection and virus evolution. we were due an outbreak, and we must be thankful that it does not have the fatality of bird flu combined with the spreadability of swine flu.
another thoery is that it came out of a pig farm and is carried by a vector.
i think Turkey may have had a confirmed case. its kind of fading out of the media.
keep hands clean. bear in mind that not all of the masks work. the virus is too small and loves moisture
