Ryuzaki sighed as he ran his fingers through his dark-red hair. It had certainly been a long day, so he had been looking forward to some down time. He slid open the front door to his small apartment and walked inside, slipping off his sandals onto the straw mat. He yawned as he walked over to his fireplace, and lit a fire which quickly warmed the room, though after that he opened the windows to let in just enough cool air to make it quite comfortable. "Kei... I sure do wish you were still here..." Ryusaki said quietly to himself as he watched a small robin outside his window. He didn't expect any visitors, so he was oblivious to anyone who would be approaching.

Yukino suppressed her reiatsu, she entered Seireitei without anyone noticing. She appeared behind Ryuzaki, her hand holding the knife as she pointed it at Ryuzaki's neck. "Hmpf..."

Ryuzaki jumped from being startled; he went to move, but felt the point of the knife touch the back of his neck. "An assassin!?" He thought, though he had no idea who would assassinate him. "What do you want?" He asked cautiously as he tried to figure a way out of this situation.

"I figured out, if I kill you then I won't hesitate anymore... " she said, narrowing her eyes.

"You won't hesitate to do what? Kill Akino?" Ryuzaki replied as he watched the robin fly off into the distance. He now knew it was Yukino there behind him, and he was a bit worried about what she may do. "Part of me believes that you never really wanted to hurt her..." He said quietly as he moved forward a bit, to put more distance between him and the knife.

She scoffed then gripped the knife's hilt tightly, her eyes narrowed. "Die..." Her eyes became watery, her hand trembled as she moved the knife closer to Ryuzaki. "I wish we haven't met..." She uttered words she might regret.

Ryuzaki spun around quickly, and grabbed the wrist of the hand that was holding the knife. "I have to admit that I wish the very same.... When... I saw your true nature, my chest ached so much. It felt as if that blade had already be stuck into my chest."

Yukino gasped, dropping the knife to the floor. She bowed her head as tears began to fall. "Then we're fair then..." Her voice trembled. Her bangs covered her eyes. Veins started to grow from her neck, it was a sign that she was exerting force as she tried to suppress her feelings. Her illness started to overcome her again.

Ryuzaki loosened his grip on her wrist, but didn't let her go. "Hey..." He reached out and touched her forehead, now looking worried. "Are... you okay?" Though she was the 'enemy', he still couldn't bring himself to treat her as such.

"Y-yes..." She nodded, she shouldn't have fought with a heavy heart or else this will happen. She suddenly fell on her knees, her limbs started to become numb. Her hands and arms lost it's strength, it fell with her with no life. It's as if she was a marionette. "S-sorry at my feeble attempt to kill you. Please kill me while I'm at this condition." She bowed, at this state even though she was stabbed will not feel pain.

Ryuzaki knelt down in front of her, letting go of her wrist so he could use that hand to lift her chin up. "I... am not going to do that." He said quietly, gently, his blue eyes gazing at her so clear that she would be able to see her own reflection. "If you really wanted to kill me, you would have had done it before I turned around." With his free hand he brushed back a stay strand of hair out of her face.

She could not move, her eyes was softened sadly. She pursed her lips as he lifted her chin. "I'm too weak to do it." She said.
She wanted to hold his hand to feel that warmth, sadly she couldn't move. She looked away, avoiding any eye contact. Staring at his eyes will cost her to fall again.

"Why do you say that?" He asked her in slight confusion. "You were so able to freeze Akino, why not me?" He reached down and grabbed her hand, holding it between his. "You can tell me... you know. I am a good listener."

"Kind men are rare nowadays." She said softly, repeating what she said back at the cherry blossom festival. She could still recall, it was one of her unforgettable memories. It was all she could say.

"That is why?" He asked quietly, looking away from her. "That is hardly a reason to not kill me; though I am glad you didn't." He let go of her hand, and rubbed the side of his neck. "I... wouldn't be able to kill you either."
