Tenkou mitsuru tokoro ni ware wa ari, yomi no mon hiraku tokoro ni nanji ari! Hiding behind a large oak door laid living quarters only one person has ever laid eyes upon. A twist of the ornate silver knob and a light shove led to worlds unknown...at least, what was depicted on the expansive walls, only four--the room was simple in layout, only a large rectangle of sorts.
Each wall told a different story, of a time and place no one knew besides the owner of the chamber. The left wall depicted a dark yet friendly scene, a village in the time of twilight, darkness creeping around the edges of the neverending sky as the sun dipped below the horizon. The shadows smiled at any and all passersby, extending warm and welcoming hands. A door leading to the room's bathing quarters blended in with a small house blacked out by oncoming night.
The right wall, along which an orantely framed day bed rested, lay view to a very different place. Trails of white glitter speckled the wall, like a soft and silent snowfall. Indeed, the city depicted was a calm, snowy place...like something from inside a fancy collectible snowglobe. Tall, icy buildings in cotton candy colours jutted out from the wall itself, serving as units of shelving for various trinkets and knickknacks collected over the years. Smaller structures pushed themselves out on either side of the bed--nightstands of sorts, each with a crystal lamp that glowed many colours when turned on.
The wall opposite the entrance was home to a sliding glass door leading to a small balcony outside. The glass panels hid behind thick black curtains that were almost invisible along the solid black wall. Metallic silver and gold ribbons had been painted along the smooth surface, twisting and curling every which way in the most whimsical manner. A dresser, with the same intricate carvings as the bed frame, sat near the left corner. It, too, was decorated with gold and silver ribbons--real rather than painted. Many things littered the top of the dresser, among those things a handheld mirror. The glass itself was spotless, lacking fingerprints and any evidence of being handled. The pure silver that framed the mirror and weaved into the handle shone brightly in the dim lighting of the room, almost as if surviving off its own internal energy...
And finally, the wall housing the entrance door. The wall itself couldn't be seen, for bookshelves nearly as tall as the ceiling lined the entire space. The oak planks were filled to the brim with old tomes and novels, books on nearly everything the owner could want to read about--her own personal library. Snake-necked lamps slithered out from the top of each shelving unit, providing most of the light for the room. Books were even piled on the black carpeted floor, in collapsible towers and messy mountains of knowledge.
The ceiling, also solid black in colour, imitated a scene of the night sky. Glittering dots adorned the textured surface, trying desperately to twinkle like the myriad of stars outside. The little dots glowed in the dark when the room rested in complete darkness.
Who knows what else is hidden within these elaborate walls? Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi! Kore de owari desu! INDIGNATION!

"Ally? Helloooooooo?"
A black coat billowed behind black shoes. The leader of Noble Symphonia, dressed in his attire fitting a "modern ninja", was out and about looking for Ally, their tactician and caretaker. She wasn't in her usual habitats: The kitchen was empty and the library was just a little quieter than usual. He decided to try her room, but stopped in front of her door.
He had never been in her room before.
While he had helped design the captain and vice captains' quarters, the interiors were up to the individuals who inhabited them to decorate. He stood in front of her closed door and stared at the doorknob, wondering whether or not he really should go in...

[I'm not a bad person...]"Oh, hey John." There was a voice from behind John. He could hear a quiet pattering of soft steps approaching, which was accompanied by the slight clinking of chains. Chris was making his way down the hall, wearing a classy black bat dress shirt - vampire chiq. It was adorned with chains, studs, straps... a metal detector's nightmare. It was also hard to ignore his intimidating pirate's cutlass, which hung lazily at his side. Chris wasn't waiting for a response, of course. "What's going on?" He glanced over at the door. "Oh... this must be Ally's room." There was a small pause. "You looking for her or something?" He knocked on the door twice, sharply and with quick succession. There was no response. Nonplussed, Chris adjusted his spectacles and tugged on his tricorne. A smirk stretched across his face. "What's with that look? You seem so lost... are you afraid to go in? Having some hesistations?" As if to challenge his captain's moral objections, Chris sauntered over and casually turned the doorknob; it was clear that the vampire was no stranger to breaking and entering. The door opened with a creak, and he took a few steps inside. "Looks like no one's home." He turned around to look at John. "...Wanna do some exploring?" [...I just have bad luck.]

John blinked, first at Chris's attire, then at his cavalier approach to the situation. Was his new vampire-esque outfit giving him superhuman courage as well as a thirst for blood? He knew that Ally wasn't exactly a fighter, but if they were caught snooping around her room, she'd show them the full extent of her magical prowess.
Still yet...
Grinning, he reached back to his holster and pulled out his dagger, the Death Whisper. Spinning it in his palm above his head, he held it in a reversed grip and nodded. "Alright, I'm in!"
Feeling confident, he took a few steps in and stood next to his friend.

Tenkou mitsuru tokoro ni ware wa ari, yomi no mon hiraku tokoro ni nanji ari! The silver mirror on the dresser rattled and clanked furiously, so much that it slid and clattered to the carpeted floor. A bright beam of light shot straight up at the ceiling from the circular glass, soon engulfing the entire room in its blinding splendor. Just as quickly as it came, it disappeared.
...and the room was no longer there. The scenery changed to something resembling an old library, dark and derelict. Thick layers of dust blanketed the broken shelves and tables; torn and yellowed pages littered the dirty, creaking floorboards. Every little sound echoed in the empty, forgotten place. [I'm not a bad person...]"What the..." Chris turned around, trying to get a grasp on what had just happened. Were they someplace different? He took a few moments to assess the situation and get a feel for his surroundings. It looked like they were in some sort of old building... lots of books. Probably a library. "Goddamn it," Chris cursed, his hand gripping his cutlass. "This is why vampires hate mirrors..." He turned to his companion. "You alright, John? Please tell me you have some idea about what just happened..." [...I just have bad luck.]

In their little transportation sequence, John had somehow ended up on her rear. Getting up, he dusted off his coat and readied his dagger, keeping it in front of his body. His eyes darted around for signs of danger. It was quiet, but the two of them knew that could change quickly.
"Sadly, no. I don't." John answered. "Ally's a magician; she knows magics far superior to anything either of us are capable of using. She collects a lot of... artifacts, I guess. We could be anywhere in Gaia. Hell, we might not even be in Gaia anymore."

Tenkou mitsuru tokoro ni ware wa ari, yomi no mon hiraku tokoro ni nanji ari! "INTRUDERS!" an irate voice yelled from atop a bookshelf across the room, the owner screaming as she leapt from her perch, bright red cloak billowing. Flames licked at her palms as she prepared a spell.
Another voice, similar to the angry one but exponentially happier, called from a distance. "Ohmigawd! Intruders?! Where, where?!" Bright gold eyes peered out from another bookshelf. A giggle rang clear through the air. "Oh! Heehee, there they are!"
"...Huh?" yet another voice said, laced with sleepiness. A still figure, clad in a green blanket and pretty much napping on an empty shelf, lazily rolled onto the floor. She stifled a yawn and buried her face deeper into the blanket. "Jus' let'm be...they're not boverin' us, mmm..." Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi! Kore de owari desu! INDIGNATION!

[I'm not a bad person...]Chris's ears perked. "Sounds like we've got company," he said sharply, brandishing his cutlass. They hadn't even been here five minutes, and they were already being attacked... this was going to be a hectic trip, he could tell already. "That's one hell of a way to greet someone," Chris called out to the trio, his blade glinting in the dim light. "Aren't we going to exchange introductions, at least?" He spoke with a matter-of-fact mannerism and glanced over at John. "Get your bearings, man; things could get violent... Chris turned back to face the enigmatic group, adopting a textbook fencing stance. He was ready for a fight, if that was what they were planning on bringing to him... [...I just have bad luck.]

Spinning his dagger in his palm, John took a position behind Chris, facing away from the fencer's back. The Death Whisper began to glow with a faint black aura; it could sense how close the two were to battle. Spreading his feet a bit, he made sure his posture was as advantageous as it could be.
Wait a sec... That first voice sounded familiar.
In fact, they all did.
Getting out of his stance, he looked over Chris's shoulders and tried to make out the cloaked figures. They didn't have any noticeable features aside from their rainbow of cloaks, and yet... they all felt familiar.
"...Ally?" he called out uncertainly.

Tenkou mitsuru tokoro ni ware wa ari, yomi no mon hiraku tokoro ni nanji ari! "Stand down, Ira!" a girl in a blue cloak shouted sharply at the fire mage, emerging from behind another bookshelf. She tucked a large, dusty tome under her sleeve and removed her hood. Her appearance was similar to that of the person the raven-haired "intruder" called out. Only her face was not marred, and she had cerulean eyes that matched the shade of her cloak. "Forgive my counterparts for startling you," she said cordially as she approached the battle-ready duo. "My name is Tel; who are the two of you?"
"Tel! What are you doing?!" Ira shrieked, removing her hood to glare at the girl in the blue cloak. Her eyes burned a fiery red that mimicked her magical skills. "They're not supposed to be here!" Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi! Kore de owari desu! INDIGNATION!

[I'm not a bad person...]Chris looked back at John, puzzled for a moment. "Wait... you said 'Ally'?" He turned his gaze back at the group. Come to think of it, there was a definite resemblance... guess it made sense, considering he and John were in her room when they got zapped here. This was probably all her doing... he didn't take any of the group members to be Ally herself, though - there was a certain quality that made each person very distinct, at least to him. "Tel?" Chris lowered his sword for a moment. "And Ira? And friends?" He half-smirked. "I guess we get a few introductions after all." He turned to his companion. "I suppose we should return the favor." Chris wasted no time with his reply. "It's a pleasure to make your acquantances," he said, his tone sounding more than a little sarcastic. "This here is John..." he motioned to John, and then himself. "And I am... John's friend." Anonymity - a rogue's best friend. He gave a small nod. "Not to be rude, but... do you mind telling us where we are?" [...I just have bad luck.]

John scowled at his friend. Oh sure, he thought, let's go ahead and give away his name to people who might be getting ready to attack him! He was hesitant to lower his dagger, despite the calming nature of the blue-cloaked woman. That other woman in the red seemed ready to torch Chris and John where they stood, and he was not about to let that happen without a fight.
Still, it seemed like Chris was trying to open a dialogue...

Tenkou mitsuru tokoro ni ware wa ari, yomi no mon hiraku tokoro ni nanji ari! Tel was about to say something else, but was interrupted by a screech so loud that she thought her eardrums exploded.
"SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" the girl dressed in yellow squealed, hopping up and down a few times. Instead of wearing a cloak, her yellow and golden outfit resembled attire that a hyperactive pixie would wear. Her golden eyes twinkled through her thick-rimmed glasses. "Don't listen to boring ol' Tel!" she said in a high-pitched voice, wagging her finger. "She's too smartical to understand; her talking makes my brain huuuuuuuuuuuuurt!"
"Would you shut the hell up already, Llama?!" Ira yelled crossly, removing her red cloak with a whip. Her outfit, much like her cloak, was comprised of many shades of red--a red halter, a red plaid skirt, red knee-high socks, worn red sneakers... "Nobody cares what either of you say," she said, shooting her usual glare in Llama's direction.
"Silence, please, both of you!" Tel commanded, pinching the bridge of her nose. "No wonder Ally keeps us all here...ahem!" She extended a finger, pointing at John. "He called us Ally. In a way, he is correct, but also incorrect." After a sharp intake of breath, she continued, "It seems that you two have managed to transport yourselves into Ally's subconscious." Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi! Kore de owari desu! INDIGNATION!

[I'm not a bad person...]Chris watched the group interact with a growing curiosity. The yellow one's name was Llama? Geez... what a troupe this was. He continued to objectively listen to their conversation for a moment, trying to piece things together... when all of a sudden, he heard Tel's grand revelation. "So... wait a minute..." Chris held up a hand. "You're telling me that we're inside Ally's mind?" This was a truly bizarre turn of events, one that left Chris both extremely concerned and absolutely fascinated. What lay here, he wondered, and would they be able to escape? Being able to return to the outside world was his primary objective, of course... but once he'd secured some kind of exit, he might like to stop and poke around. See if he could find interesting. Tentatively, Chris put the question out in the open."So... first and foremost, is there a way we can get out of here...?" [...I just have bad luck.]
