It was half way through the night and Zuberi was wondering yet again beyond the pack boarders, he enjoyed getting out sometimes, see what happened outside of the pack. It was a pleasant evening, not hot but not cold and a slight breeze that ruffled his fur. His turquoise eyes turned up towards the sky, it was a clear night, he could see all the stars. He smiled, enjoying everything this night had to offer.
Walking still father from the pack, Zuberi moved through some long grass, he wasn't sure where he was heading but he felt he was none the less heading in the right direction. Zuberi enjoyed the night, he knew that he was slightly less obvious in the night, and his dark chocolate colored fur blended in better with the black night then it did during the bright days.
The wind shifted directions slightly and that was when her sent hit him. He peeked up over the long grass to see where the other dog was, his turquoise eyes scanning the field. He spotted her she wasn't far from him. He wanted to go greet her, he quite enjoyed meeting others outside of the pack, he felt they had so much to offer, and although he would hardly admit it to himself, Zuberi quite enjoyed being around ladies. He began walking towards her debating the best way to approach her.

Licentia was stargazing, watching the streaks of light that would flash through the sky with awe. It was so beautiful! Where did those fallen stars land? What was it like, a metal? A rock? Even a god of some sort? She'd heard the lions worshiped deities of the savanna but had never actually met one herself.
Licentia didn't like to travel, and when forced to she took much longer then the normal wild dog might... lingering in places for days before moving on. Lonely and mostly homeless, the unwilling nomad wondered if a wish upon a star might be honoured.
I wish for a friend and for good company she thought at the next star to fall, tilting her head from side to side, not noticing Zuberi's approach because the wind was favouring him.

Zuberi watched the female still at a slight difference she looked so peaceful to him. He wondered what she was thinking. He got slightly closer to her shifting lightly through the grass. When he got to her side he made a small noise, he didn't want to startle her just to make his presence known.
Before she really had time to say or do anything, in response to his noise, Zuberi started talking, "Hi there, my name is Zuberi I didn't mean to sneak up on you or anything I just saw you from across the field and thought maybe we could talk." Zuberi realized his greeting was kind of awkward but he hoped she would want to talk to him none the less. His turquoise eyes looked at her almost twinkling a small smile on his lips.

The wild dog blinked when someone coughed at her side, flicking her ears and turning to stare at the newcomer with a curious, well meaning gaze. "Hmm?" Tilting her head, Licentia smiled as she shifted again, offering some of her grassy bed to the young visitor. "Oh, hello! Talk? I don't see why not."
Looking up at the sky, then, she watched another star plummet from sky. "Are you lost?"

Zuberi was glad that the female was willing to let him join her. He liked to meet others, he positioned him self neatly on the grassy bed beside her. It felt very warm and cozy to him, much nicer in some ways then the dirt floor of his den. Once comfortable he glanced back at her remembering that she had asked a question.
"Lost no I am not lost, I know exactly where I am." he smiled at her. "I live in a pack not to far from here but I quite enjoying getting out and meeting outsiders and seeing the outside world." He realized then that he did not know this females name, he decided he would just find ways around actually having to call her anything.
"So do you live around here?" He now shifted his turquoise eyes up towards the stars she was watching, it really was a beautiful night, a good one for star gazing cause the moon wasn't to bright. He wasn't sure why but he felt very comfortable with this new wild dog he had just met, he didn't spend to much time thinking about it, instead he just smiled up at the stars.

"A pack? That's nice. I don't have one... once, I was offered one but that... didn't work out." She sighed as she turned her head to look at him, smiling sadly, "You like to travel? But what of your home? They won't find you if you're always moving. That's why I don't like traveling - too much stress for me and anyone looking for me, don't you think?"
Shifting, she stretched her hind legs out so that she was half-lying down, "I do, actually. This is my bed for now but I have a little shelter in some rocks not too far away. I wanted to watch the stars though, so I'm here." Licentia nodded to herself.

Zuberi shifted his eyes up towards the sky again he could understand wanting to get out and see the stars. They were beautiful tonight, creating a little light show for the two dogs to watch. He smiled when he heard that Lincentia lived close by, he liked making friends that he would see more than once.
"I don't tend to travel far or stay gone long, most of the time I get back before anyone knows I was gone. I really don't stay away much longer then a night ever." As much as Zuberi loved to explore and travel, he felt a strong bond to his pack. "I am glad to know that you dont't like to travel, or go far. It means I will get to see you again." Zuberi ltubbed the side of her body slightly with his. "Not that I plan on leaving anytime soon." He told her boldly.
Zuberi had a desire to get to know more about this female. "Do you have family that lives with you? How long have you been in this area? Do you known anyone else around here? Why didn't living in a pack work for you?" Zuberi realized he was rambling so he stoped short and looked up at her, he hoped she wasn't bothered by his questions, he just wanted to know as much about her as he could.

"That's wise. There's too much that can happen and too many other creatures that might drive you away." Her ears flicked a bit in mild surprise as she tilted her head, flattered, "You plan on remaining with me? How chivalrous. You're a noble young dog, Zuberi." Leaning over, she nosed his shoulder before returning her gaze to the stars.
As for the barrage of questions, she chuckled and shook her head, "No, I left my family long ago. Not in any bad sort of way, we just grew up... struck out on our own. I haven't been here long, really, but I don't plan on moving too soon either. It's peaceful and safe here, a good place to settle." Licentia arched a brow at the last question and closed her eyes briefly, "A pack did not work out because the one who would show me to it never returned. He spoke of it, I grew interested, and then he just wandered off. I haven't seen him since."

"Yea I think I will stay with you for a little while, I mean that's of course if you don't mind. " He smiled at here, well still keeping his eyes on the stars.
" I guess it makes sense that as you grow older you might drift from your family. In away it has already happened to me, when I was younger I wished that I could be attached to my mothers hip, now on the other hand I like to try to get away, to see the world without my family always around me." It was weird thinking about the fact that perhaps he was growing away from his family, but now that he thought about it more... perhaps that is just called life.
As Licentia talked about how this guy led her towards a pack and then left her high and dry he thought about how unfortunate it was that she may have had the experience a pack could bring all the good feeling wrecked for her. In his opinion it was great having a pack was something Zuberi truely enjoyed but he realized that it wasn't for everyone. "Well you know perhaps you should give a pack another shot sometime, I think they are great. And who knows maybe you will be able to find one that you can fit into really well."

"I don't mind your company, Zuberi, you're an interesting young male." She smiled at him as he continued to speak and nodded, "I think that's the way of things. I'd like a family at some point, really, I adore children. They're always so full of life and enthusiastic, keeps you on your toes."
His suggestion gave her pause and she thought it over a moment before nodding slowly, "I may do that at some point. I have to find a pack for me, first. One that's maybe close by so I don't have to travel very far... a good one for families." Licentia's voice had gone distant as she dreamed of a life where she was settled and had a mate and children to care for.

Zuberi smiled, he felt that maybe he could help this wild dog find a home. For that moment in time all thoughts of his future mate, a mate that was back in his pack... the pack he was now talking up with this wild dog here in front of him. She was friendly and caring and actually seemed to want Zuberi to be around. He felt like perhaps he had something to offer her, where as Twana (the wild dog back in the pack) was very free spirited, and could handle the world on her own.
"Having a family would be great" Zuberi acknowledged... it was a great idea something he though a lot about. Zuberi had a always had a family, his mother and siblings. But he had a drive with in him that wanted a family of his own, so he could be a father.... something he had never had. He was quickly falling into the same dream state that Licenita was in.
"How many pups do you think you want Licentia?" He asked looking at her again, eyes glazed over slightly as he was still thinking of the future.

She smiled at his question and shrugged slightly, "I do not know. But more then one, I think. A large family in some vibrant valley, safe from Hyenas and Lions alike. That's what I want." Licentia nodded and glanced over at him, "You're a lucky young man to have your family, don't forget that."
She yawned then and tilted so that she lay upon her side. "It is late, Zuberi, perhaps you find your family again. I wouldn't want them to worry. I'll be here if you wish to speak again."

Zuberi looked at her, "I suppose it is getting late, and you probably aren't use to being up all night like me" Zuberi often forgot that the rest of the world didn't stay up all night like he and his pack did.
"I will leave if you promise you wont leave." he said even though he knew she had already said she would be. For some reason he felt a need to know that when he came back her he wouldn't be disappointed.

"No, not really." Licentia nodded, slightly embarassed, "I like to sleep when the sun touches the land but the stars were so pretty tonight."
"I promise I won't, Zuberi." The wild dog grinned and bowed her head in a gesture of promise, "I'll be here to talk. I enjoyed speaking to you." She nosed him back towards where he'd come from, "Now go, before your family becomes worried."
