I don't know if anyone follows the Sew_loli Community over on livejournal but recently they started to do a monthly contest and this month's was No Moar Lace. I know there's a lot of very crafty Lolitas on the guild and was wondering if anyone would be up for doing something like this on here for the fun of it :]. It doesn't have to be as complex as the challenges there but maybe small things like skirts and such or if people are up to outfits. Edit 5/10: So after reading the responses I see that most people indeed like the idea of it being an accessory challenges for now. So I shall put up a poll now to see what our first challenge shall be. Once the challenge idea and date is set I will put up a formal thread to conduct the event in.

I'd love that~! When i have time. Personally, i don't follow LJ at all, so i don't really cake alot of those perks. And small challenges would be totally awesome, since i don't have a ton of time. But i'd love that.

It sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure we have enough people experienced enough for it to make it worth while. I know that while a lot of the members are crafty, most of us not expert seamstresses [unlike a few I could name in here, haha]. Definitely stick with small challenges, stated. Or maybe apply the rules to accessories rather than full outfits or larger garments, so that beginners could easily participate.

Awesome will it seems the majority of the replies like the accessories idea then. I'll put a new poll soon then to see what accessory people want to do first.

Aw, it appears I waited one evening too long to post reply before a general consensus was obtained by the masses. D: Hello, there, dear friends -- don't think I've abdoned this guild, just my duties as a member *cough post*. I still lurk; I'm just scathing around for time to answer spuntino's in-depth questions...
Ha ha, anyway! I love this idea and would certainly try my best to participate, depending on how much material I can get my mits on; I'm a cosplayer before fashionista. ;3 Now time to go vote~

I am crafty with hair accessories, so I'd like to do something like that.
