The Rebeldes use the temple as a home base, the temple was originally built to by an ancient sect of hollows and shinigami that sought to bring balance to the worlds thought by most to be of light and dark, or day and night. This is why these ancients named their temple and base Templum Crepusculum or The Temple of Twilight.
Now in the modern times an Arrancar by the name of Frieza has taken up the code of old. Following the three tenets to perfection.
1) Thou shalt not harm one who falls under twilight's gaze.
2) Thou shalt always defend those who cannot defend themselves
3) Thou shalt stop at nothing to defeat the corruption found in ones brothers.
These tenets are what keeps Frieza in her quest to retake Huceo Mundo for those of her kind who share her dream of a world without separation. Of a world freed from war, and hatred.

The lord of twilight is responsible for leading the Rebeldes in their quest, they are required to lead the Templar, Knights, and Soldiers into combat and to keep them in training. They are also responsible for bringing punishment down on those who fail in their missions or disobey orders.
The Consort of Twilight is responsible for attending the needs of the Lord, that includes anything he cant handle and any minor tasks passed to her. She is usually the Lords lover, as it has been in the past.
The Templar is responsible for leading the lower ranks into combat, and for keeping them well trained and strong, and getting stronger.
The Knight is responsible for assisting the Templar in all his duties and leading the younger Soldiers into small skirmishes.
The soldiers are just that they are grunts, and are considered some what expendable, they are tasked with getting stronger so that they may become knights.
