There was an episode of
I.M. Weasel (the show with a weasel and a baboon that used to air with the show Cow and Chicken on Cartoon Network - ringing any bells?) where the incompetant Baboon accidentally went back in time and Weasel had to travel to the past after him in order to thwart him from reaking havoc on the time stream. In each instance Weasel arrive just to late, in time to watch Baboon commit some act of massive time-tampering. Each time however, Baboon's tampering only served to fulfill the past the way it was supposed to be rather than mess it up. In fact it would have messed up history if baboon
hadn't been there - such as when he sneezed while visiting the cretaceous period, giving all the dinosaurs colds which eventually killed them all. It was a comical look at time travel, but pointed out a serious solution to the time travel paradox. Every action one can takes is carefully woven into the tapestry of time, even time travel, so that everything will always work out the way it is supposed to. Ofcourse both the paradox and its solution depend on if time travel is even possible.
