Falling of an Angel, Part One
Part Two
Part Three: In Which 'Di Sells Her Soul.

Tell me I'm frozen
But what can I do?
Can't tell the reasons
I did it for you
...

Jedidah snuck away from her family, taking a jar and cup, using wanting some time to herself as an excuse. It wasn't until she was far away from them that the tears began to fall. Unlike her father, hers were normal tears, soaking her fur as they trailed down. Part of her couldn't believe what she was planning to do, and yet this was the only way in her mind that she could keep her normal mother and brother and sister safe from harm. If Angelus or his insane female were to attack them...
There was no other way.
She wiped the tears away as she headed for the spot the bobcat had met her at. She would go into this confidently, bravely. There was no way in heaven or hell or the world in between that she would allow him to see her weak.
'No regrets, 'Di,' she thought to herself as she came to the vacant spot and sat down, waiting for the devil to appear.
...
When lies turn into truth
I sacrifice for you
You say that I am frozen
But what can I do?

Angelus smirked as he saw her, his eyes narrowed on her damp fur and he grinned. Tears were one of his many turn ons, he slunk out and moved to leap infront of her. "Jedidah..."

'Di jumped at the sound of her name and quickly cursed herself. She should show fear, not when her family's lives might depend on this. She took in another slow breath, readying herself for whatever might come.
"Angelus." she replied curtly. How was she to do this? She'd never begged anyone for anything in her life, nor had she ever bartered.

He grinned and slowly circled her before moving to sit infront of her and brush her hair back with a claw. "You look so nervous my little hellcat, don't worry it is you who craves my blood..."

'Di bared her teeth at his touching of her, but she held herself back. She'd gain nothing from attacking him.
"Do you know why I'm here, then?" she asked, turning her head at the scent of the blood coursing through his veins. Even the smell was intoxicating.

He chuckled "why don't you tell me, I dislike second paw information..."

'Di sighed and closed her eyes, bowing her head a bit.
"I wanted to ask you if we could make a... A deal." Her eyes opened and she looked up at him through her eye-lashes for a moment before looking away again.

He smirked "A deal...what kind?"

"I'll do anything for you as long as you leave my family alone. Anything you ask if you forget they even exist," 'Di replied, running her tongue over her lower lip as she stared at a few droplets of blood that had remained on his spikes. Her stomach worked itself into knots as she remembered she hadn't really eaten much today.

"Ahh, but your sister is so very talented, I like to watch her, the way she watched others from under her little red hood..." He grinned. "How could I forget them, they who hunt my brethren..."

'Di bit her lip as she thought of how to convince him.
"If... If I put myself between them and my father... He wouldn't hurt me... And my mother and siblings don't hurt your brethren," she replied, heart breaking over how hurt her father would be when he found out. But at least he'd be alive. And that's what she wanted most of all.

"You would do exactly as I said?" He smirked "You know me Jedi, you can taste the things I do in my blood..."

"Exactly as you say," she more or less repeated, closing her eyes as if in pain for a moment before she opened them again. They were both as red as blood.
"Would you feed me, too? I'm a moth to a flame, Angelus. Please..." she pleaded, her voice taking on a far-away quality, as if she wasn't completely in control of herself.

"Ahhh...but what would I get in return? I could feed you in exchange for your servitude..." He smirked.

"I don't have anything else to give," 'Di naively replied, raising one paw towards him, but pausing to let it hover in the air between them.
"If I have to choose between the two..." she began, ending with a shake of her head. Her family came first. No matter how much she craved him.

He smirked as he watched her straddle the fence, but he was cruel if nothing else and he slowly brought his spikes against his other paw slashing to cut a thin line and blowing the scent of his blood towards her. "For every task you complete for me, I could feed you Jedidah...and I each time sweeter then the last..."

The young female's eyes widened as she reached her paw towards the cut, but she jerked back as if burned, stumbling back a pace.
"No, no. My family first," she mumbled, putting one paw to her head as she tried to sort herself out.
"I'll do anything you want, but my family must be safe." Her eyes were screw tightly shut, an ache growing within her head.

He licked the cut and grinned "What a pity...you'll be so very hungry, well I'm sure your dear little sister will be able to make you a nice bottled drink..."

'Di shuddered and returned her gaze to his.
"Is there nothing else?" she asked, then looked away with a sigh before gaining an answer.
"I guess I should look for someone else for that, then..."

He smirked "Who will you find, what willing victim? Perhaps your mother...her blood must be somewhat sweet for she takes innocent lives for her cause..."

'Di shook her head slowly.
"No, that's disgusting," she said softly, thinking past her headache. "William, perhaps. I doubt he'd mind a bit of sharing..." she mused out loud, wondering what the other vampire would think, being chosen over Angelus.

"Perhaps..." He shrugged. "Then I'll accept your offer...you serve me and I won't lay a paw on your little family."

"You won't go after them at all? Not send someone else to hurt them?" she pressed, narrowing her eyes at him as she took a step towards him. She needed it to be clear. She wasn't the most intelligent, but she knew that the best deals were those that were as clear as crystal on the terms.

He chuckled "Your the only one I'll have control over Jedi love, and you don't think I would try and send you out to kill your own family?"

'Di narrowed her eyes a bit more, but couldn't help but smile bitterly up at him, ever so slightly.
"I honestly wouldn't be surprised in the slightest," she replied and her gaze flicked back to where he had cut his arm, a small look of longing in her eyes.

He laughed and tilted his head amusement in his cruel yellow gaze. "Such a clever little girl, I won't send anyone after them either though." He said with a slight wave of his arm to waft the scent towards her.

'Di watched his arm wave back and forth before she snapped out of it and nodded.
"Is... that it, now?" she asked through gritted teeth, trying ever so hard to ignore the scent. If he kept that up, she might just attack him for even a little taste.

"Thats it then, so long as you follow my orders I'll leave your family be...I want you accessible though...I don't want you to continue to live with your family." His eyes narrowed.

Jedidah's head bowed slowly.
"I hadn't intended to return. Is there somewhere you wish I live?" she asked, glancing up at him subserviently.

"You can stay near Dru's den, we're staking claim to the territory and I intend to make sure the pirates know it." He smirked and turned his back to her in a show of confidence. "Come I'll show you to your new home..."

Leaving the jug and cup by the river's edge, Jedidah followed Angelus, gritting her teeth against her hunger, but most of all against the tears that threatened to fall. It was for her family. Her family. She just had to remember that. No one else matter besides them.
Not even herself.

He moved in through the darkness and down to where the waters became wider and murkier. He smirked as he slipped past the den he shared with Dru, soon he would be able to choose where to stay. He moved infront of a dark tunnel entrance and motioned for her to follow him in. He slipped in with ease.

Jedidah followed him, too late to turn back now. She hated the complete dark almost as much as she disliked overly sunny days. She liked moonlit nights where she could see the stars. But there were no stars here. Not anymore.
She thought to ask of where he resided, her eyes glowing a bit as she got used to the lack of light, but thought better of it. She didn't need to know, nor did she really care.

He grinned as he romped around the large dark empty space. "Nice hmm? You'll be so cozy here..."

"Yes, I'll be fine... Do you wish me to continue to call you Angelus or...?" she asked as she watched him, her eyes narrowed a bit. She wanted to make sure she knew as much as she needed, so that she didn't anger him in the future. They might have had a deal, but she didn't totally trust him.

He smirked. "Angelus is fine, lighten up Jedi...I have a slayer problem that needs taking care of, so I won't be giving your family a second thought. Now cant you be a good girl and smile for me?" He grinned and moved closer.

Jedidah's mind flicked and she raised one eyebrow. What a strange request. Did that really fall under servitude? Bah, she had promised to do what he said.
With a small sigh, she forced a small smile in the darkness.
"Like this?" she asked, a hint of teasing sarcasm in her voice.

He grinned and leaned in "perfect..." He pressed the cut lightly to her lips giving her a small taste.

'Di's eyes popped in surprise as he pressed his arm to her lips and she all but purred as she took the sweet life-liquid into her mouth with a slow lick. Her eyes fluttered closed as the hunger surged within her.

Angelus pulled her close and stroked her hair a moment before pulling her off and flinging her back. "And you'll get another taste once I've had my fill of the slayer..."

'Di gasped when he flung her back, falling to the den floor as she was unprepared for the action. She hated being roughed up that way, though it probably was necessary. She was difficult to control sometimes, after all.
With a soft groan, she curled up into a ball and squeezed her eyes tightly closed, shaking a bit from the pain in her side and the returning one in her head. She might be able to take more than a normal otter might, but that didn't mean she didn't hurt.

He grinned and sauntered to the entrance. "sleep well princess..." He slipped out with a chuckle.

When he was gone, she finally let herself cry over everything she had given up.

Somewhere across the Oasis, a heart-wrenching scream in pain could be heard, from someone who was just a little too late...
