Yes, Texan that I am, I have suddenly come up with a kickass idea: A football league for Barton United. It'd be a good way to stimualte the Barton economy (via spread-betting and sports bar RPs) as well as for me to pass the time at the beginning of junior year. Limited amount of teams that will probably be in Barton, each game, starting with the regular season in August to December and then the Super Bowl-esque game in January, will be played on Sunday's only.
As of right now, there are 7 teams with their team rankings in ():
Barton Town Lions (1)
Barton Town Generals (4)
Cleric Crusaders (Cleric is a fictional Barton city from one of my RPs) (6)
Bass'ken Baracudas (2)
Gold Beach Landsharks (3)
Mount Barton Mountain Lions (5)
Great Lake Bears (7)
Each team will be paired up against each other every Sunday, some of course will have to go more than once against the same team. The way the teams will 'win' against the other is through a random number generator to generate an outcome that will be tweaked accordingly due to how bad their players suck (how bad they suck is determined by random number generator as well).
For example, say, in a game with Lions @ Baracudas:
Kickoff (Out of 2 numbers, if 1, Lions/2, Baracudas): Random Number Generator (RNG) says Heads, Lions get kickoff
Kickoff Result:
*(Out of 50 numbers, if 1, touchdown, if 2 fumble w/ turnover, if 3 fumble w/o turn over, if 4-14, touchback, if anything else, goes to return RNG)
*Return Result: (Out of 5, if 1 return for 1-20 yards, if 2 return for 21-40 yards, if 3 return for 41-60 yards, if 4 return for 61-80, if 5 return for 81-99)
*Depending on the number, the RNG will then determine what the yard return is.
Complicated, yes, but for everyone else, it will be simmered down into radio broadcasts (since I now got a mic!) from our official BNFL sports announcers, Pat Harker and John Palmer (both voiced by me in different drawls and tones).
Here's a sample on how the broadcast will go:
Pat Harker: The Lions won the coin toss, and are choosing to receive it. Let's see how this plays out. Number 3, Gray, setting up to kick, hits it long and well into the Lion's endzone for a touchback.
John Palmer: My oh my, that was a beauty of a kick, Pat! Did you see how that flew over the receiving teams' heads? I mean, it just went WOOSH! and off it goes.
PH: That it did, John, and now, the Lions are setting up for their first play of the game at their 20 Yard Line.

OHH! ...so that means Coliseum, right? Alright, can do. We can make it...as long as Namine can start a Badminton league. But if we do that, we'll need courts. Meaning we have to make something similar to the Nest in China...

I like the idea of a BCG. Barton Cyber Games, based on the WCG *world cyber games* which is basically a giant video game competition. >.>

Of course! As soon as I get a Helluva lot more teams, have MMCM_of_the_Navy free up his schedule so we can all sit down and start the creation of small towns in Barton, etc. , I'll have the BNFL up and running in no time!
