I posted a thread like this in the lifestyle discussion forum, and it got some interesting replies XD so I thought I'd post it again here. anyway, here it is:
Why are there so many different views on marriage, and why is everyone not allowed to be married?
Marriage. some people think of it in a religious light, some people see it as unimportant, while some romanticize it and make a big deal of it, religious or not. I want to know how you view marriage, what you think of it, and how important you think it is.
And what about same sex marriage? I personally see nothing wrong with it, but some people think that it's wrong. Again, this is probably religion. What are your views on this? And if you are against it, please say why instead of just saying you don't like it.
Then there's the complete opposite; divorce. Do you think it's okay and reasonable for two people to promise to each other that they will stay together forever, then later say they don't want too? Why do you think there are so many divorces each year?
