I've been wondering... is there a way to make candles without actually buying the wax? I think I read something about melting down crayons, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking any other options before I go raid the craft section.
Plus, I remember learning in elementary school that in colonial times people used lots of other things-like berries-to make candles. Or was that animal fat?
