******** Amazing! They're a steam band that is pretty much undiscovered right now. They played at a robotics competition I was at. their music is all preprogrammed on robotic machines they made, and then they have singing tesla coils!! For the time being they don't have vocals yet, but they will. They're working on a CD and they are awesome!
Check them out!

In b4 'there is no such thing as steampunk music'.

Also, the band AtOmsk dresses all steampunky. They added me on FailSpace, and I like 'em biggrin

Plenty of steampunk music around, yes sir. *nods*

One of my favourites is their rendition of the Doctor Who theme (possibly just because I really like the tune anyway).

I love the one with the guy in the full-body Faraday suit acting as the electrode for the Tesla coil playing the Imperial March, and holding out his hands like he's doing Force lightning. If anything deserves the title of Epic Win, that is it. xd

That's pretty much the closest thing to actual steampunk music that I've ever seen.

Isn't that a requirement, being British and all? ;]

Quoting myself because the video clearly shows a man with humongous cajones. "Here, put on this metal suit, stand next to this Tesla coil, and catch some freaking lightning bolts." "Okay, chief!"

Speaking of the Doctor, theres a new steampunk Doctor Who novel out.

Which one?

There was one I'd seen, the Doctor Trap, which had a steampunk gentleman on the cover, but the book it self is not steampunk at all!.
The only only passing reference to steampunk is the Victorian garb the villain dons (as seen on the cover) when he's hunting the Doctor, but even that is created by the same insane high-technology as the rest of the book.

I was quite disappointed.

God, I love him so much! I got to talk to him for like an hour in person. Single coolest guy I have ever met!

Do you know when and who (male/female?) they're going to have for vocals? I can't really think of what would be apropriate.

Dr. themes are win pirate
