Great Prince was doing his rounds checking on the territory. He was making sure everything was still okay and that no one was in trouble. Plus he was hoping to find some new members for the pack. There were only two other members besides himself, Bambi, his son, and Faline, his son's mate. He needed a couple of Omegas, some Gammas, and maybe a Beta until Bambi grew. Oh and some pups. A pack must have pups. Then his pack would be official.
Sighing Great Prince looked around. Nothing was out of the ordinary here. He slowly moved on hoping to find someone to talk to at least. It was quite lonely doing the rounds without Bambi to keep him company.

Devin was a little exhausted. Other helixes kept thinking he was prey because of his horns. They kept popping out of no where and scaring him half to death. Then when they found out he wasn't food they'd tease him about having horns, as if it were his fault! He kept explaining he was born without horns, that they just grew in as he got older. They just didn't seem to understand him.
He'd been running most of the day to escape the others. He avoided joining any packs simply for the fact that none of them were like him. Also, they enjoyed eating the one prey that looked just like him, deer. He couldn't stand hunting. Devin preferred eating blueberries, they were his favorite.
He was so tired he didn't pay attention and crossed over a pack's scent border. He found a pond and lapped at the water, quenching his thirst.

Great Prince was nearing the river and the small little pond that was right at the border. He was still thinking about getting more members for the pack when he noticed horns peeking over a bush. Looks like a deer had come in for a drink. He smiled and shook his head thinking how much the deer loved to live here. He didn't often hunt the deer since his pack consisted of deer look-a-likes. It felt wrong to eat something that he looked like.
He walked past the bushes expecting a deer to be at the pond, ready to run. He stopped in shock when he saw that it was another helix instead. One with small horns.
Recovering from the shock he shook his head to clear it. "Eh-hem. Hello there." He said to get the male's attention, "I'm Great Prince and I'd like to welcome you to my territory.... since you seem to have wandered into it."

Devin looked up, startled. A huge helix stood before him, a majestic Alpha male. What shocked him even more though was the fact that he had horns, just like Devin's, only bigger! For a moment Devin seriously wondered if he was looking at a relative. In subtle ways they were completely different though, in color, in markings, in horn shape, ect...
He smiled brightly, here was someone who would understand him! "Hello sir! My name is Devin. Erm, sorry I didn't mean to trespass or anything." He was briefly embarrassed, some first impression! He hoped he could be friends with this Great Prince.

Great Prince studied the younger male for a moment before shaking his head. "It's quite alright Devin." He said, "I welcome travelers when they come here as long as they don't cause problems. And you don't seem like a problem child."
He looked at Devin's antlers and nodded. "You'll have fine antlers when you're finished growing. They're already this big." He paused for a moment, "Must have been hard living where ever you came from. Helixes that look like deer tend to be hunted mistakenly. I've had it happen to me a couple of times when I was younger."
