The sun was absolutely blinding. Tzipora raised her arm high enough so that her forearm blocked out the worst of it, but at this time of day, that was the best she could hope for. Her axe rested beside of the fallen tree log she'd collapsed against. It's iron blade glinted with pure malice, adding a touch of evil to the blood caked onto it. She grasped a handful of dirt in her hand and started scrubbing it.
In the long run, it would be more productive to work through the sun as to try and defeat it. She was tired, but full of unspent energy. As soon as the others arrived, both new and old members of her pack, the hunt would begin.
Feelings of a Beta in charge bustled through her. The weather was perfect for such an occasion and as far as she knew, no one in her pack had any withstanding injuries to slow them down. A silver tail brushed against the coarse wood of the log in excitement. Her lavender eyes scanned the woods, on high alert for anyone.
Hopefully, Char would come back. It had been so long since she'd spoken to him last that she was beginning to worry. He's fine, she told herself. Nothing would ever take him down. At least, while she still breathed.

  Char sighed rubbing him temple yet again. This would of been the twenty time today they had had to stop and it was only just midday.
"Jessie I swear, by my tail, If you don't come now I'll leave you behind."
He called to the hindquarters of a wolftaur sticking out of the bush.
Pushing back through the bushes Jessie giggled happily as a pup on the first walk from the den.
"but father. i was tracking look i found a rabbit"
Holding it gently in her arms sticks and leaves sticking out of her hair she looked a right mess. But she was still smiling happily.
"May i keep it as a pet?" she asked stroking it gently. Looking at her he sighed yet again "Jessie what have i told your before. Rabbits like this are for eating not petting. If you want i will get you a pet next time we are in the market. But this one has to stay here." Holding out his hands Char looked at her sternly slowly Jessie handed over the rabbit thinking about it for a moment "can i get anything i want as a pet then?" Char nodded holding the rabbit tight. "Within reason. Now go pick up your things while i deal with the rabbit" He smiled to her Watching her run off he looked at the rabbit in his hands. With a quick motion it was done and he placed it in his bag with the others she had found.
"now let us hurry or we wont be able to go hunting later."
Walking in the general direction he had met the other pack in he hopped he would be able to meat with them again. More importantly a silver haired wolftaur who he had had the pleasure of getting to know.
~But you know by now she'll have a mate.~ his inner voice whispered.
((OOC: Jessie is pictured as an adult but i RP her as a mid teen. not a kid but not an adult....plus as you might of guessed she has no idea about anything ^^))

Silent as the shadows that marked the forest floor did the figures move. In the lead was a rough looking male wolftaur who though had obviously strong muscles walked with an ease to his step.
Behind him came another who was lazily flicking knives through the air. With grace and much skill her hand closed around the handles each time before finally fitting the weapons into a belt that hung around her waist. Her eyes flickered uneasily between each tree and her ears were pricked up with interest in their surroundings. Already she sensed Tzipora and maybe even the faint scent of other wolftaurs.
 "Akemi!" Riker turned back to look at his childhood friend with a wide grin. "Will you stop worrying so much? Everything is alright after all!" His eyes shone with optimism and a pup's excitement before she acted.
"Ouch!" Riker rubbed the sore spot on his head and glared at Akemi. "Why'd you do that?" Still playfulness glittered in his golden gaze and she couldn't help but to flinch. Had he let her slap him?
"Be-because you can really annoy me sometimes, Riker." Replied Akemi with a small frown as she reluctantly dropped her nervous guard. Her tail dropped a bit as she glanced at him and added, "Sorry, alpha."
"Behave yourselves." The soft voice of Raine startled them both as she emerged from under a tree. "We're nearly there after all and I'm sure that you two wouldn't want to annoy our dear Beta."
A light laugh escaped the older wolftaur as she watched the two drop their tails and run on ahead to where Tzipora waited. Merriment sparkled in her eyes. After what felt like forever their pack was finally getting back together for the best event yet, the summer's hunt.

The scent hit her before the faces did. Tzipora rose from her seated postion. Her hand brushed aside the clumps of dirt stuck to her silver pelt, ruffling up the violet hairs hidden underneath. An unauthorized smile turned the corners of her mouth from a frown to something more plesant. As a whole, her pack was a happy lot, but toss in an actual activity and they were positively glowing.
After an appropriate half-bow to Riker, she pulled back, grasping the handle of her axe with one perfectly muscled hand. "Its good to see that almost everyone has made it. I assume that the twins will join us later, as per their usual routine."
Those trouble makers were scheming, that she knew. The true question was, who would be their target? Hopefully, no one coming to join them. That would be a horrible mess that she didn't want to clean up on such a glorious day.

Once again Char stopped and looked towards the young taur following him. She had stopped head tilted to one side as her ears twisted and turned.
"What do you hear this time?" he asked turning towards her.
"I'm not sure. But it sounds familiar." she took one step forwards then another. Slowly she started walking through the tree line stopping every few spaces to listen.
"I think it's other taurs." she said happily wagging her tail. "it this way."
Before Char could say anything she was off running through the trees and low shrubs.
" JESSIE. get back here." he shouted after her trying to catch up. She wasn't the one to listen and he could only hope that who ever she met with was a friend and not foe. The poor pup had lead a very sheltered life and it was only with the passing of her mother that she had come under Chars care. Not knowing the evils of the outside world she thought the every taur was a friend.
Hearing her dad falling behind her Jessie bounded through the short undergrowth heading for he source of the noise.
She knew that if she found other taurs she could play. Her dad was fine and all but he was no fun.
Leaping over a fallen log she misjudged the leap and her back paws clipped the tree causing her to roll to a stop.
Sitting up she brushed herself off and preceded to pick up the few items that had fallen from her back pack before looking around.
Next to the log which she had fallen over stood another taur.
Smiling happily Jessie bounded up to her as happy as a little pup.
"Hi wanna play?"

Riker nodded his silent appreciation for the bow made by his beta before looking over their group. "Ah, the twins will be late." He nearly rolled his eyes, "Of course." But before he could say much more to his pack, a new female wolftaur jumped into their group. Riker's ears twitched at her question, but a small grin escaped.
Akemi nodded to Tzipora before getting taken by surprise at the new comer. "What?" She asked completely baffled by this type of attitude from the younger wolftaur. "Play? Who asks something like that? What are you a child still?" Her voice was a bit rough, but a faint hint of kindness lurked beneath.
Raine smiled at the stranger and slowly shook her head. "I'm sorry, but we can't play today." Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the wolf. "But if you want you can travel with us, perhaps. But what we're about to do is really serious." Here she looked at Riker who after a moment's hesitation nodded before looking over to Tzipora.
Her lips curved into a smile as she looked behind the younger wolftaur, "You might want to get your companion first. His scent is oddly familiar." With that last line, Raine looked pointedly to Tzipora with a small wink.

Leaping gracefully over the fallen log Char came to an abrupt stop almost falling over Jessie.
Not realising they were not alone he grabbed her by the ear.
"I've told you time and time again. Don't run off it's not safe!"
"I'm sorry. i just heard other taurs." she said starting to sob slightly rubbing at her eyes
Letting go of her ear Char let out a sigh but stiffened quickly as he realised they were not alone. Looking round he saw one or two he remembered but could not name.
As he turned he paled slightly catching sight of a silver wolftaur but smiled.
"Hello again Tzipora, I'm glad i get to meet up with your pack again... All be it in this way" he added looking down on Jessie.

Tzipora leapt up into the air further than she ever had in her life. She didn't scream, though she would have liked to, as her heart beat out an imprint on the inside of her ribcage. Her hand had instinctively wrapped around the leathery handle of her axe, rising it a few inches out of its resting spot before she realized this girl was no threat. Her happy attitude worried Tzipora. What if she had jumped in on anyother taur, maybe even one that could mean her harm?
The girl was foolish and needed a good lesson in manners. "I'm sorry, but like my companion says, playing is for children and we have work to do."
She was about to brush aside the girl as one of the rogues they usually picked up during their trips, but Raine's statement captured her undivided attention. One quick sniff had her reeling. Why hadn't she noticed it before?
Then, he showed up. A warm smile lit her cold face and stretched her shrivelled heart to the max. Her axe dropped to the ground and without her knowledge, her hands laced themselves above one another in a feminine gesture. He treated her like a daughter, which from what she knew of him could very well be true and all her worries washed away.
"You really should listen to him. Sometimes, the old goat has a few good lessons left in him." She smiled ruefully and stepped closer to him. "A pleasure as always, Char. Although, you should know your welcome here at all times, not just spring."

"I'm glad to have found you. With this pain in the rump it has taken me longer to get back." he looked down at Jessie briefly before looking back into her violet eyes.
"Let me introduce this little one who likes to make an entrance."
Before he could continue Jessie cut in.
"My name is Jessie. I know who you are cause dad told me about you." she babbled happily shifting her weight from on foot to another. Looking her up and down "You are Very pretty. I didn't think you were you at first cause dad told me you were a hunter. and the hunters i knew were all old and ugly. but you are you cause you have a big axe and dad said that he..."
A hand quickly covered her mouth
"Thats enough Jessie. You dont need to ramble on all the time." Char shot her a look before removing his hand and turning towards Tzipora his cheaks turning a slight red color.
"I've been telling her about the last hunt we went on and she wanted to come with me when i next went out. I was hoping i could meet up to go hunting again"
Suddenly the dirt at his feet was very interesting as he gazed down

Tzipora blushed a healthy shade of turnip. Char talked about her? To his daughter? Who thought she was pretty? In a moment of rare girlishness, she mentally hypervenilated. Nervously, she laughed. "He said I was, " She coughed, switching topics. "There are always exceptions to the rules."
Jessie was really prettier than her and surely the other girls in her pack were more interesting to look at, but for some reason, knowing Char liked her looks made her giddy.
And now was he....was he blushing? That was a good sign, she supposed, even though they both probably looked really foolish at the moment. "I'm pleased that you were able to come and with such charming company. Her help will be much needed and appreciated."
A disgruntled teen 'pfted' from his position in the trees. Tzipora swiveled around to get a better look and gasped aloud, surprise outlining her battle worn features.
The familial traits were undisguisable. Though Tzipora carried a violet gene and he black, the two were definately cut from the same cloth. His shaggy mane of raven hair covered small scars on his face, exposing a piercing amber eye and a leathery patch. He had a rumpsack tossed over one shoulder, cutting across a tribal tattoo on his chest.
"I hope I'm not too late for the party, " he said with a snarl, his lips curling up in a grin.

Char scratched the back of his head slightly "I have to say i don't know how much help she'll be. Sadly no one taught her to hunt." hanging his head slightly he glanced towards Jessie to make sure she wasn't listening. "she has a problem with killing things apparently."
Hearing something Char turned seeing the new arrival but didn't recognize him. Something about his smile put him on edge though.
Watching the adults talk was boring. Looking around she saw a few others , but none that looked interesting to her. Getting her brush out of her bag she started to brush her hair.
Turning at the same time Jessie faltered slightly. Standing in the trees stood a young wolftaur with a silver pelt and black hair. Something about the way he stood and the way he spoke made her feel shy.

After a full three hours of well-intended lectures from his guardians, Blake was finally off on his own. He could always return, but he was determined to find his own nook in life. He had a drive that he couldn't explain. So on he went.
Having spent nearly his entire life under the watchful eyes of his guardians, the young male was nervous to be so alone for the first time. After making sure his "mother" wasn't following him, he took off at a full run until intuition made him stop. Taking a few deep breaths, he realized that he had come across someones scent. He went perfectly still, listening for sounds.
There! He followed what sounded like a female's voice, rambling on loudly. Then the softer voice of adults, then another voice. Should he call out? Should he leave them alone? His yellow eyes sharpened as he fought indecision.
Well, he wouldn't get anywhere at this rate. He slunk silently through the brush, getting as close as he could before announcing himself. "Excuse me...?" He had wandered onto quite a large group it looked like... He tried to keep his head up.

Raine sat back silently and was enjoying watching Tzipora and Char get reacquainted. Unlike the others she was keen to pick up on subtle gestures or feelings and couldn't help but to smile. Her interest swiftly changed though with the change in the air. 'Two new scents?' Her eyes brightened with surprise and amusement before turning her gaze. Would they too join the hunt?
Akemi laughed at Tzipora's sudden change in attitude and grinned at Jessie's compliments to her friend. "I for one and glad you two happened to show up-" Her words were cut short however as new wolftaurs made their appearances. The whole attitude that the first teen gave off, not to mention his one eye, made Akemi's fur rise. Tzipora's reaction didn't help matters with the wolftaur either.
Akemi's canines flashed sharply in the light as she growled at him. "Who are you?" The voice that came from her throat was soft but laced with threat. Her hands were already clutching at two sharp knives, ready to throw. They only lowered when the next teen came onto the scene, but Akemi's attention stayed on the eyepatched one.
Riker too had found himself amused by his Beta's conversation with Char and Jessie, but now his gaze was sharp. "Akemi! Enough!" The rusty female looked over at Riker and sullenly lowered her gaze at his sharp command. Still her trembling hands held tightly to her weapons.
He was also on alert, but there wasn't any open hostility. "No, you're not too late for the hunt. If you truly do want to join that." Then his gaze softened as he looked to Blake. The last thing the pack needed to do was scare off a potential hunter. They would see to the new teen after figuring out the other one with the eye patch. "Hello." Riker nodded to Raine before looking back to the other. "Tzipora...do you know this wolf?" He finally asked remembering her reaction at his appearance.
A soft sigh escaped Raine's lips as she padded silently over to Blake. "Sorry about this. Akemi tends to overreact to things, but that wolf does send up some alarms even to the rest of us." Her mouth curled up in a kind smile, "I'm Raine. You are?"

Tzipora nodded in understanding, but at the moment, she was completely absorbed in the teen, even as another appeared on the scene. Their eyes met, molten amber and soft lilac before he turned away.
The teen laughed, tossing his ragged hair back off his shoulder as he sauntered closer to the group, smartly choosing to circle around and wait for his time to enter properly. It wasn't that he was afraid. Quite the opposite. He cherished the smell of fear coming from Tzipora and drank it in like a drug.
"Does she know me?" A snort signalled his stop and arrogantly, he openly glared at the Alpha. "It seems like big sister doesn't talk about her family very much, does she?" He gave her a pointed look before shrugging, trying to play it off as if he didn't care even though a growl rumbled in his chest.
The wind shifted to deadly while Tzipora chewed her bottom lip. Out of all her siblings to show up, why him? She'd never been around for his childhood and hadn't so much as sent sympathy when he'd lost his eye, but that was just how her family worked. When one left, the rest moved on, so why was he here?
"If you've come to cause trouble, you should leave, Reever."
"Oh, no, Tzipora, I've come to help. " He half bowed. "Just like this boy here, " he motioned to the other teen and grinned. "

Jessie couldn't help smile as she watched one of the new commers walking around the other side of the group.
Somthing about him the way he walked made her feel all light
When she heard Tzipora say his name her gril brordened slightly
~even his name is cool ~ she though holding her hands togeather infront of her ~Reever~
When the teen had entered Char had taken a slight step towards Tzipora incase he needed to protect her.
When he called her sister in that tone of voice his hackles raised slightly, though he simply shook his coat to make it little less noticable.
He was reminded of his own family and how it had been the same, But he doughted this teen was going to kill Tzipora here.
