The Seashore Field!
Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze (the stadium ceiling is open when this field is selected) while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Sienna strolled into her trainer box. A cool breeze washed over her, a salt mist from the ocean like water followed as well. She was so excited, her second two-on-two battle! It would even be Enide's first battle if she had to send her out (Which she probably would.)
Not that Frey would be happy with the field. And Sienna wasn't even sure how Enide would even react. That murkrow was a strange pokemon, that was for sure.

If Sienna was expecting Luna to be leaned over the railing platform in her usual carefree manner, she was going to be shocked because Luna was nowhere to be seen. Instead, only an odd gastly and a snoring dratini stood (or in the gastly's case, floated) on the place where their trainer was suppose to be.
Helium looked up at Sienna curiously and immediately shot a meanlook attack. "Gaass! Gaaastly!" He said, rolling upsidedown laughing with great amusement. A trainer had come to battle!

Sienna was indeed surprised. Where was Luna? Sienna recognized Helium and Socks as her pokemon from seeing them around the gym. Then the ghastly shot a meanlook attack. She felt a chill go down her body at the attack and shuddered. Gastlys and ghost pokemon in general were creepy sometimes. Either way, they seemed to be there to battle.
"Alright then! Let's go...Enide!" Sienna said as she threw Enide's pokeball onto the field.
The murkrow appeared on the sandy part of the field in a flash of red light. Her red eyes flashed with curiosity as she titled her head until she was seeing the world completely side-ways. What was this strange new place? She continued to view the world with her head titled horizontally while her talons prodded the sand, the texture foreign.
Sienna figured they should start the battle, Luna or no Luna Helium and Socks were there. "Enide! Start us off with an Ominous Wind!"
Enide heard the command and had no problems with obeying. She eyed the pokemon across the field from her as she raised her Defense. Were they enemies?

Helium's eyes glowed purple and Socks found himself floating in the air and roughly dropped in the water portion of the seashore field. The purple wind passed over the water, causing the water to become turbulent with slightly large waves.
Some bubbles appeared from where Socks was last at and what seemed to be the back of the Dratini floated onto the surface of the water. Helium tilted his head at the curious site. Had his teammate died that fast?
Fortunately, Socks was very much alive. The dratini had shed his skin while under water and had used it as a distraction to slither to the shore of the beach. Her new tail scales glowed and gained a metallic sheen.
"Draaa!" The pokemon called out, letting everyone know he was not out of the fight yet. The tail reflected light off the sun and he aimed the beam of blinding sunshine right at Enide's eyes.

The murkrow watched carefully as the Dratini fell into the water, wary of it's presence. She made the mistake of continuing to stare at it and screeched at the sudden flash of light and felt her defense lower itself. She clicked her beak in annoyance. "" She muttered as she took flight.
Sienna couldn't help but laugh at Socks' (odd) entrance. 'Poor thing must be tired. Hopefully we'll defeat it fast' Sienna thought with an unusual amount of confidence. "Icy Wind!" She commanded.
Enide beat her dark wings, sending gusts of chilling wind at the dratini. Shards of ice formed in the air as the wind picked up speed and neared Socks.

Socks eyes the cold wind wearily. He really disliked the cold. It was no fun sleeping in the cold at all.
The narcloptic dratini tried rolling itself out of the way of the main force of the icy wind attack and buried itself as deep into the warm sand as it could to minimalize the effects of the attack on his small cold-prone body.
The once sandy strip of land was now coated in snow after the initial onslaught of the Murkrow's attack. Helium chuckled as he mused about the power pokemon held, they could change their surroundings with just one attack.
Once again, Socks used the his environment to his advantage. He emerged from his hiding place belly first to blend in with the snow. When he was positive the murkrow did not notice him yet, he sent out a chilly ice beam attack to nail the annoying cold-inducing bird with her own medicine.

Enide swiftly dropped out of the air and dived straight into the ocean-like water. Having little experience with water as deep as this, Enide had no idea what she was doing.
It was in all certainty a very bad idea, even if most of the Ice Beam attack missed her.
The water quickly dragged her down, her feathers becoming waterlogged with the extra weight. Luckily she had landed not far from the 'shore' and with a blast of another Icy-Wind attack propelled herself out of the water, aiming the rest of her attack back at the Dratini.
"Shake off that water, Enide!" Sienna encouraged. She seemed to be doing fine on her own, Sienna would have commanded another Icy Wind attack anyway. She would have to warn her more about the water later, though.

Before Enide even opened her beak, Socks had shot off another freezing ice beam at the bird. The ice beam did not make it in time to completely stop Enide from launching the burst of icy wind, but it did pierce the attack in two.
The ice beam had not only served as an offensive attack but also as a crude shield, preventing most of the cold wind from flowing straight towards Socks. Instead, it dispersed in opposite directions at both Sienna and a displeased Helium.

The attacks had ended up being used to shield and attack for both parties, as Enide was only sprayed with a shower of powdery snow as the Dratini's attack was cut in half as well. This time the murkrow was a little more cautious as she flew up and over the water-portion of the field.
"Twister!" Sienna shouted.
The murkrow began to slowly circle the field, building speed as she went. Eventually she went so fast a twister danced on the water and headed towards Socks.

Socks looked at the raging vortex of water with a slight yawn. Battles were quite tiring, he would have preferred sleep over dealing with a giant twister anyday. But unfortunately, Luna had put Helium in charge of Socks for the day and Helium had wanted to battle. Stupid ball of gas.
The twister lifted the light Dratini into the sky, slicing some of her scales with its high speed winds. When the wind began to calm down and she felt her body descending onto the ground again, Socks closed her eyes and tried to get over her slight dizzyness with the whole affair.
When her eyes reopened, just a few feet from the now-cold beach waters, Socks shot yet another ice beam, substantially larger than her first two, right at the Murkrow that must have also been dizzy from flying around so many times just to create its last attack.

Enide was indeed a little dizzy, and luckily by random happenstance swerved out of the Ice Beam's way, letting the beam shoot past and freeze a patch of the ocean below her.
The murkrow started to beat her wings, not even needing a command from her trainer anymore, and sent an Icy Wind down at the tired Dratini.

Darn, the last attack had missed. Socks looked meekly at the incoming attack, knowing that he definately didn't want that to hit. Socks was really not suited for battling, screw his trainer's encouragement, he didn't want to win. He only wanted to survive and go back to sleep. Especially the latter.
Socks inhaled a deep breath and launched out his own Ice Beam attack to once again negate the two ice type attacks.

This time, the Murkrow's shield back fired and even more ice was blasted at her. The frost cling to her feathers, dragging her down. She was not going in the water again. The Murkrow quickly adjusted her flight pattern and landed on the sandy part of the stadium. She quickly readied another Icy Wind attack. She was so tired, even with her Insomnia she wanted to just rest...
