Is there a series that focuses on any of the following subjects that someone might recommend? Gardening, senior high women, religion, battle of good over evil.

If you want an anime concentrating a specific subject or would simply like some recommendations, post here.
Also if you're posting a rocommendation, give a reason for it and a little background information, not just a name.

those are very specific topics, which make it difficult to suggest a series
there are some about high school girls but i can't think of one about specifically seniors
and very rarely do anime/manga focus on things like gardening
you may find a few that include stuff like that (a character interested in gardening) but it won't be the focus
quite a few anime/manga will have something to do with religion but it is often shinto or buddism, though there are some with christian influnce (Hellsing, Chrono Crusade, Saint Tail) but they may not portray it in a way you are comfortable with
good vs evil is a major topic of anime but it is rarely clear cut, unlike the superman, batman, etc. things aren't always black and white but rather varying shades of gray but there are a few
i would suggest you try Princess Mononoke, i think the storyline would be to your liking
also are you more interested in anime (VHS/DVD) or manga (books)?

As Imbar said, those are very specific topics. The closest thing I can think to that applies to most of the topics is Revolutionary Girl Utena. There are a lot of gardens in it (especially roses), the story revolves around a high school plot but the hierarchy of high school makes an important part of the story, if memory serves right, there is a bit of religion, and there are definate battles of "good" and "evil". So yes. That would be my best choice. But I also must warn that there are hints of shojo-ai within it.
There aren't many others I can think of that apply to all topics at once, but religion is a major basis for most animes, mangas, and mangwha. Titles such as Rebirth, Full Metal Alchemist, Saiyuki, and Neon Genesis Evangelion have direct allusions to Christianity and Buddhism. Of course these all are action oriented animes and mangas/mangwha but if you can dig underneath and are knowledgable in religions, then you should have no problem sifting past the skin of the titles and into the soul of the story.
Another thing in many titles are battles of "good" and "evil". Though I tend to steer towards stories with a neutrality to it where "all is one and one is all", I do know of a few good series that fit into this theme. If you are into medieval times and action, then I would seriously suggest the Record of Lodoss War series and Berserk, although in the case of Berserk, unless you can stomach extreme gory violence and mild sex scenes, then I would suggest stashing it away for some other time. Another good one is Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X. It isn't the best example of the theme but it does have a generally mild GVE theme and is a great romance series.

Try reading Evils Return. It has to do with senior high school girls and a long battle between good and evil. I started reading it when it came out. I think only 4 of the books are out. i need to get the 4th one.

I use it every once and a while but most of the time I don't. Last time I did was when buying DNAngel. And really... Its not all that great. Its good but not that good.
