 Dorakyura no D, Dampiiru no D or D for Dracula, D for Dhampir. So the Dokuhon's own excerpts seem to directly indicate that Dracula the known King of Vampires is D's father.

I would like to say Dracula. I can't remember what novel it was I think it was the first, where this woman comes and asks D who is father is. And he starts to say and as far as he got was DRA. Also everyone knows that the scared ancestor of vampires is Dracula. He was the father of all vampires and the very first.

Pfft! Of course it's Dracula and Alucard of Hellsing is Dracula, therefore Alucard is D's daddy! Mwhahahaha! What a strange family. Then let's not forget Castlevania. Alucard of Castlevania is one of D's bros. I want to see a family reunion here. xD

Alucard is dracula spelt backwards and ontop of that they show half of his face and half of dracula's face. I don't think they ever SAY if he actually is dracula but it's pretty much implied. Besides that, in Bram Stroker's Dracula, there was a man named Helsing who was Dracula's rival. I think the japanese creator added an extra L so that it wouldn't be copywrite infringment on the name.
