Azalaea sat down under a tree, waiting for Roarke to show up.

Roarke comes up behind Azalaea and nudges her playfully with his head.
"I hope I'm not late or anything. How are you?"

Azalaea gives a short squeak out of surprise and jumps a bit, then settles back down. "No, of course you're not late," She said, rolling her eyes. She gave a quick laugh and nudged him with her head. "No, you're not late." In fact I just got here myself. And as for how I'm doing, I'm feeling a little tired. But other than that, pretty good."

(( I seriously have no idea what to respond.. Spend hours delibereting.))
Roarke regarded Aalaea with a slight look of concern and a teasing grin.
"Tired? He hasn't been making you work for your bacon now, has he?"
"Now, my lady." Roarke said with a mock bow. "Where would you like to go? "

((azalaea's rider is a guy >>; ))
"No, just didn't get enough sleep last night or something." She looked around a bit, then shrugged. "Well, I didn't really have anything in mind. How about we stay right here?" She shifted a little bit, then looked up at Roarke. "Well?"

(( Fixed! ))
"Ahh~"
Roarke smiled and nuzzled Azalaea.
"Staying here is fine..
Your growing up so fast, it's amazing.
Hrm.. Azalaea? Does it bother you that we're from opposing clans? It doesn't matter to me but I was wondering what your thoughts were about it."

Azalaea purred a bit, then nudged him teasingly. "Aren't you a little old to be making a move on me like that?"
She looked out over the city. "No, I never really understood the clans anyway. I mean, if both profess to want peace and happiness and all that, then why fight each other? If it were two groups simply fighting for attention in the arena, I could understand that, but..."
She looked at Roarke pleadingly. "Why is it there is violence in the world? Why can't people simply be honest about their lives, and what they do in them? If only people did that, alot more conflicts would be solved without violence. And if there was violence, at least no one would die..."

Roarke looks indignantly at Azalaea. "I'm not THAT old. I hatched Janurary 25th, whereas you hatched April 25th - there is only four months difference!" "Hrm... From what I've read of the two clans, supposedly Gallor clan is trying to work with us and other dragons to have peace some form of peace, whereas Drake clan is trying to use dragons so that the clan are all-powerful over both races.. Still, Gallor never say if the peace they want to instill has them as a power-base or not.." Roarke mused thoughtfully. "I wonder if the state of peace that Gallor was reaching was gained without them but some other peaceful group, would they accept it? Violence results because there are always people who want more in the world, who look at their neighbour and decide that they want what they have and won't stop at anything. Perhaps honestly about the lives will solve some problems, but having a world where nothing you did was secret.. I couldn't live like that. It's just no way to live. I just can't help but want to retain some privacy for when I am with those I love, be it my friends, family or love. Perhaps the solution would be setting up some way for people to negotiate their problems out.. Who knows.." Roarke lapsed into silence, lost in his thoughts.

"Hm. The two 25ths then..." Azalaea mumbled to herself.
"I see." she said. Though she really didn't.
"But why would we fight each other like this? I could understand if it had a reason, but..." Azelaea sighed and put her head between her claws. "Too much violence, not enough love in the world. 'Treat others the way you want to be treated, and people will follow your example.' That's what Vincent has always told me...But I don't know if the second part is true. So why even bother treating others with respect if they don't deserve it?"

Roarke nuzzled Azalaea affectionately.
"Perhaps the reason is just a desire for power? Some people just want power no matter what the cost.
Whether or not the second half of the saying is true depends on the person. Most often you will meet people who will highly respect you, and follow your example, but sometimes you may meet others who won't.. I sincerely hope that you don't, however."

Azalaea chuckled a bit to herself, then nuzzled back. "So do you have any pet names for me yet, or are you saving up until you actually confess that you like me?" She grinned at him.
"Perhaps, but why would one want power at the expense of another? Have people really left their morals behind in order to rule the ones who haven't? That seems wrong to me."
She grinned a bit and nudged his side with her head. "So are you saying you hope I don't follow a good example? Or saying I keep on treating others good?"
She paused, looking out over the city. "There's something else Vince has taught me...'Take care of your friends, and they'll be there for you when you need them.' But so far, my only friend is Vince, and he always takes care of me. I hardly have any other friends..." She looked pleadingly at Roarke.
"Would you...Would you be my friend, Roarke?"

Roarke tilted his head thoughtfully.
"Sometimes, there is no reason, no moral behind their actions. Its just pure madness or cruelty, or just pure desire or greed.
Roarke lowered his head, slightly embarrassed.
"I was saying I hope other will follow your example of being kind..."
And of course I'll be your friend, Azalaea. I'm honoured that you would ask. I will always try and be there for you.
Oh. In regards to your question.."
Roarke grinned mischievously, "I have hundreds of pet names for you. So many you'd die of embarrassment."

"I see...And I know, I was just teasing you."
She nudged him with her head. "Thank you, Roarke."
Azalaea then grinned right back. "Name 5," she said playfully.

A wine-haired girl skipped up to the dragons fearlessly. "Hi, give these to your owners" She said. The youth handed each dragon tickets, waved and ran away, each said only 'worth 1000 points'
(the tickets are already in your journals, awarded to Jibiki for most posts this week, and Dragonfly for best post. Congrats)
