Not a rant! I promise! A discussion! Really!
If you hadn't noted in the Picture Thread, my bangs are a nasty shade of green on top [bright below]. Two nights after I did it, a couple girls claimed they were about to, too. Only one did, and it looks like an ugly blue mustache on her FACE.
So.
I was in the "official" "goth" Thread, and some girl called herself Victorian, and that she wears Tripp shorts, lace gloves. I told her she was totally incorrect and to stop holding on to labels and Hot Topic junks.
She also said she coudn't EVER BLEACH HER HAIR, EVER, 'CAUSE IT'S BLACK, WAH. Well. I do such every couple of months. And ... My hair is fine, because I'm not a ******** retard about it.
One of the females in the Thread who pissed me off said she has a BALD SPOT from bleach.
Hah!
Yeah, this is lengthy.
Go go go~"If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

Haha oh god. Lame. I don't think labels apply anymore, I'm so beyond that crap. And hair! I change my hair all the time, its been bleached, dyed, cut, curled, straightened, tousled, teased, blow-dried, surf-sprayed, hair-sprayed, washed, conditioned over and over and over. And that's usually all within the space of the same week or two. And if you leave bleach in your hair long enough and strong enough to burn a bald patch, if you can't feel it BURNING then you're an idiot.

I have never seen anyone have trouble with hair dyeing apart from when the colour turns to something entirely different than intended. I have though had a gel event where the person in question continually gelled his hair all night into a big spike adding more and more to keep it perfect at different points all night when (drumroll), someone grabbed hold of it and it snapped off..O.O amazing. also labels are for kids....... I rest my case.... because its really heavy(no idea why I said that)

It'd just probably turn a funky color of orange if she were to bleach it after dying it black for a long period of time, especially if she were to bleach it herself.
My hair is now brown, blonde and orangey since I refused to pay any more money to continue to have it lightened. Soo, after bleaching it twice and getting highlights all in the same day, it actually turned out pretty cool. And that was after a year of continually dying it black.
The worst is when you buy a package of dye intended specifically for your hair color and whatever, and then having it turn out a completely different color. It's infuriating. xD
Meh. Mall Goths don't bug me too much. I hang out with the "Creepy Gothic Kids" of my school, but most of them just like Tripp or are metalheads or whatever. I don't think there really are very many poser goths anymore, because it really isn't "cool" to wear all black. Now it's cool to be hippies at my school. rolleyes

I don't really have an opinion about goth people in general. I don't like stupid people who make noise, and that description applies to just about all labels, whether it be goth, prep, or gangsta. One thing I must say, though, is that I automatically respect anybody who endeavors to make their own clothes. As for hair, I think having highlights would be cool on me. I dunno. I kinda like it the way it is.

I personally believe that the only way to fit into a label is to intentionally place yourself into it.
Speaking of which, Nyz, I wanted to make an outfit for the Rennaissance Festival.

I just snapped off? That's incredible!
Fear Loops, just go for it. Do whatever you want with your hair now because if you wait until your an adult that thing called employment might get in the way.
I agree with you all, the only annoying thing is when a colour doesn't turn out the way it's supposed to. Take purple for example, my hair naturally takes to red tones so purple comes up red on me no matter what condition or colour my hair was previously in. So naturally purple is the only colour I want my hair to be.

Try explaining that to my parents. Because I have and I can't seem to get it through their heads.

Bahahahaha. Bald spot from bleach? What a dumb b***h. She obviously shouldn't be allowed to go anywhere near her hair with any kind of product.
I've bleached, dyed, re-dyed, re-bleached, stripped, straightened, curled, and done every possible thing to my hair, really. It's never been damaged, never been fried. It's always silky smooth and soft. smile
FEAR LOOPS: Just straight up dye your hair without their permission. No matter how pissed they are the first time, they'll get used to it eventually. That's what I did. Worked out fine.

I want to get some green lowlights. Nothing to bright. Freak is a good enough lable for me, though I tend to be a bit mellow.... a mellow freak. I'm an oxy-moron.
