 She laid there, on the grassy plain of a cliff, looking up at the night sky. She heard the ocean's waves crashing upon the rocks she was currently above and it made her heart fall even further. There were no lights tonight. She was out of her element and remembering things she didn't want to remember. Her silver face looked to the side, eyes filled with unshed tears, ears back, tail curled up tightly beside her. She was not in a good mood. The Goddess wasn't pleased with her, still. She had Joliphine had no mate, she had no hope of a new family. She had only met one male and he wanted to use her for little else than a bed warmer. Males seemed to hate the little female. With a disgusted sigh, she pawed at her eyes and shook her head. "They all hate me... Not just the males," she murmured to herself, swallowing thickly before she looked back up to the sky. "Why must you torture me Goddess? End my life if it's worth laughing at..."

a tussle of undergrowth signaled a large creature wandering through it, although, as if with a drunken demeanor. and from the brush a blue and white male came staggering forward, heavy chains around his front legs clinked gently as he walked. he was heading for the cliff face and though at first glance seemed normal but as he swaggered along the edge of the cliff he wobbled and made odd zig zags until he came to the area in which a heavy hearted female lay musing.
though he did not see, hear, smell or perceive her presence in any way, shape or form.
because as he walked he was also asleep!
a sleepwalker, he always was restless and walks in the night while he dreams. He would often awake in odd and even dangerous situations. he had fallen off rocks and even out of trees but nothing he did could stop his wandering dreams.

Jolting up right at the sound of someone coming and some heavy metal clicking, she looked around with her dark pink eyes and then blinked. It was a male, a dark male with shocking white. ...And his eyes were closed? Was he a sleep walker? While she watched him, she noticed how close he had gotten to the cliff's edge. Growling a little, she rushed over to him and got in front of him.
The little female was hoping to nudge the male awake, or knock him over off his feet. "Wake up!" she gasped out, praying he did as she asked. She couldn't watch someone plummet to their deaths despite what she often thought of.
On more than one occasion she's thought of dropping herself off this same cliff. But she'd always backed out.

her request fell upon deaf ears the male was not reachable by most speech
he did however tumble over her and nearly fall over but he quickly righted himself and paused, swaying slightly like a tree in a breeze before making a U-turn for the edge when a rock slid from under his paw and woke him. his eyes went wide as he saw a long drop and crashing waves against sharp rocks, he was leaning too far forward and stumbled to pull back when one of his chains got caught in a crack and he only fell back in his attempt to turn around, disoriented and confused he tugged at the chain and flipped about like a fish for a moment until finally he rolled onto his back and noticed the pale female that had tried to wake him "ah! evening m'am" he stammered, his pride disallowed him to say much else regarding his strange predicament

She blinked at that and looked ready to have a heart attack! This male had scared her so bad. Joliphine whined a bit and flopped over on her side, huffing a bit more. "You gave me quite the fright!" she told him, those dark pink eyes staring up at the male. Now that he wasn't in danger, she was looking at him better. And his eyes were the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. Just like a star Jol had been looking upon not to long ago.
"Did you know you were sleep walking?"

Iratus blinked as she floped over and quickly untangled his chain and sat up right in a formal posture. "oh dear, I am sorry to have frightened you m'lady. I sleep walk quite often, yes, however it is rare I come to harm." he explained softly, he had a breezy voice that almost seemed to echo in his throat. and though he tried not to be rude he couldn't help but stare at her for moments at a time. she reminded him of a dove, her colors where soft and pale like moonlight. and her eyes reminded him of amethyst gems
" I am Iratus Tentaitio may I be so bold as to inquire your name?"

Her heart rate was coming down, which was a good thing. When he introduced his name she shook herself off and then huffed softly. "Joliphine..." she murmured softly, going back to her normal self. She would be shy, heavy hearted, and not wanting to talk about anything that had happened to her in the past unless she had too.

"Joliphine..." he repeated t himself in a thoughtful tone. "thy name is a lovely one, it rings with kindness." he said with an affirming nod. he could sometimes predict personality traits by the way the beings name sounded in his head. though he wasn't correct 100% of the time he found that it at least gave him an idea of the person before him. he took a moment to look around and made a face that the fact he did not know this area. he flicked his ears back and shook his coat.
suddenly a loud squawking met his ears and he looked back to the wood where a blue and white macaw came flapping towards him, this was his familiar; Senoko. the bird landed on the crown of his head and pecked his scalp in annoyance and motherly worry. "oi oi! I am fine" he grumbled as he shook his head the bird settled and sat then on the arch of his back and groomed his fur.
"my friend, Senoko." he said in an introductory manor though the bird just ground her beak tiredly, she did not like to go looking for Iratus in the wee hours of the morning.

She flushed behind her fur at the compliment and looked to the side, extremely embarrassed. No one ever complimented her. Maybe Joliphine was waiting for this male, like destiny. Maybe he could help her get a life again, instead of ending hers. Shame flooded through her at that thought, which was short lived by the squawk.
Skittering back, the female watch the two interact and then slowly relaxed again. "N-nice.... to meet you two.." she murmured softly. So he had a familiar. She rarely saw any of the types here, or anywhere really. This was her first time seeing it. "I have.... no such... friend."
