 Yugure was relaxing in the sun that was shining in between some branches. It was a nice day since he hadn't seen anyone else near here. He loved days like that. Meant that they weren't around bugging him. His ears perked up as he heard a twig crack. Was that them?! He was jumping to his feet when a small bunny hopped out of the brush. He mentally chastised himself for immediately thinking that it was them. The bunny had froze when it hopped out near him but now was starting to hop away. Yugure was on top of it before it could get away. He was slightly hungry and who was he to complain when food just hopped right into his lap.

 The young helix, nearly an adult, shifted slowly and steadily through the Eastern territory that he had come to call home. It was here that he had found refuge from the Southern packs, where he was wanted for heinous crimes that he never meant to commit.
Benita had offered him shelter and protection and he thanked her will all of his being. That was the reason he showed so much devotion and work in bringing her and her pack prosperity. That was the reason he was busy scouting through the thicj, eastern jungle-esque terrain, unaware of the strange helix that he was disturbing.

Yugure was tearing into the bunny enjoying the tender meat. He paused to lick the blood off his chops and looked around. Did he hear something? His eyes narrowed as he carefully looked. Not seeing anyone he went back to the bunny.
A little bit later he was gnawing on the bones of his meal. He was laying down once again relaxing or at least he was trying. He kept hearing things or thinking that he was hearing something. It was making him jumpy.

He was on a mission, as he had just left Benita's territory to travel West. There was a message to be delivered and he had to make short work of it, as short as he could, so he could return to safety and bring that western beta closer to his mother. His mind was focused almost solely on his mission, but he couldn't forget his manners.
Benita had given a howl earlier, telling neighboring packs to give him free passage so he could be on his way hastily. Most had responded, another event he had to give thanks for.
He smelled the scent of another helix nearby and worry gnawed at his mind. Merely to be polite, he gave a soft howl to announce his presence to the stranger.
'Here I am!' It said in a friendly, harmless tone. 'Just passing through, I am on my way.'

Yugure nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the soft howl. There was someone out there! And nearby from the sounds of it. He looked around trying to think of what to do. Should he reply? But wouldn't that attract the stranger here? What if they were with them?! Or should he ignore the howl? That could also bring the same result.
Shaking his head Yugure wasn't sure what to do. He debated for several minutes before standing up. He'd go see who this stranger is from a distance. Then he'd decide on what to do.
Sniffing the air he picked up the scent and began to head in that direction.

Verdauga continued to move and his pace slowed slightly as he tried to keep an eye on his surroundings. There was a distinct sound of his peg striking the earth, though it was muted and could be controlled when he watched where he was stepping, and his nerves rose as he tried to make sure none were stalking him.
The scent was still there and he was sure he had caught the sounds of movement in his heavy, pierced ears.

As Yugure drew closer to the scent he began to notice an odd sound. It sounded like something was striking the ground but what would cause it? He shook his head and continued on.
After traveling a little longer he spotted someone. It was a strange looking helix. He was brown and wore a red cloth on his head and tail. His ears were pierced and one of his legs..... was that a peg leg?! Yugure studied the stranger for a moment before deciding that he wasn't a threat.
"Hello there." He called out approaching the strange looking male from the side, "What brings you here?"

He flinched slightly as he heard a voice, the stranger had revealed himself and Verdauga was quickly on guard.
"Jest passin' through, neighbor. Me alpha, Benita, jest called fer safe passin' fer me. Hope ah ain't intrudin' too terribly much, eh?" He tilted his head so he had an easier, clearer view of the male that he was speaking with. His scent was unknown, but Verdauga stored it away for future use.

Yugure fought to keep up with what the adolescent was saying. He spoke so strangely. "Not much I could do it you were intruding too much. I'm not part of a pack so I don't have any territory really." He said flicking his tail to the side, "So what's your name stranger? I'm Yugure."
Beginning to circle the younger male he got a far better look at him. He was normal other than looking like a... what was that human creature called again? Oh a pirate! Yes this young male looks a lot like a pirate. "So tell me, why do you look like a pirate?"
