When that happens, I get mean. I refuse to make my character fall in love with theirs, then they get butt hurt and kill their characters off.

People get so dramatic. It makes me chuckle.
To me, romance is more of a subplot. I want my RPs to have some substance aside from 'they meet and fall in love'.
That's just sooo boring.

Ew....Barton is worse. Full of the same ole plots, one liners, and unoriginality. I'm a writer, I need things to go off of. I need my mind challenged. =x
x3 I don't do love fests unless the other person wants romance.

Exactly. Romance is fine, but when it's the entire focus it doesn't allow much to build off of.
Romance RPs seem to die fairly quickly.
There has to be something else driving the RP foreword.

All this RP talk is making me want to start my own. One that's lit-adv.
No on liners. No lame plots. And no spelling errors.
Something semi-original. I'm tired of all the "vampire mansion" threads and the like.

Quite. o: I love a little romance every now and than, myself. But I need action or something to keep the story interesting. You can only do so much with romance.
