When did you first love Rainbow Brite?

I first loved Rainbow Brite in 1983, when I first saw the television specials about her. I was six at the time. It has been a love of Rainbow ever since. I still have some dolls from that era.

I loved Rainbow Brite since 1983. I will soon be 32, so that's very old school. ^_^

I fell hard for Miss Rainbow when she rode Starlite across that infamous rainbow. I think it was primarily because I wanted a Starlite of my own (little girls will love their pretty white horses with a rainbow color dye job)

Honestly, you can always tell whose a true child of the 80's if they ask you three questions: "Remember Gummi Bears?" "Were you a Hologram or a Misfit?" and "Remember Rainbow Brite?"

I rekindled my romance with Rainbow Brite when the ravers resurrected her at Hot Topic along with Strawberry Shortcake (another favorite).

But I must say... I'm not quite sure that I'm all that excited about them "revamping" my cartoon idol to meet the queer demands of the 2000's generation. If you haven't seen the new stuff, check out http://www.rainbowbrite.net/
to see what they have done to her.

Will they have the Color Kids around this time? I'm a little worried. And will we have a bunch of horses, too?

Oh, BTW, can those belts get any tighter? I keep wondering of the cartoon girls were born without any ribcages of internal organs.

Yeah... the cartoon girdle is tied pretty tight. They must be taking dieting tips from barbie.

I still wish I had my Rainbow Brite doll sad
Why did I ever get rid of her? (oh yeah, I remember... I entered junior high)

I've got my small Indigo, Shy Violet and Red Butler (but lost the cape cry ), I've also got Starlite and the big Rainbow Brite and Twink. What happened to my riding Rainbow? (Oh yeah - Julie Bell stole it from me)

Still got my Starlite, and a few dolls as well. The mint condition ones will be collectors' items.

I was born in 83 so I grew up watching it. I had a Rainbow Brite doll and my grandmother made me a pillow version of Starlite. My mom made me sprite curtains.
Recently I found a Rainbow Brite, Patty O Green, and Starlite at a yard sale. Both dolls had their sprites as well. So I bought them for my daughter. She absolutly loves them. She makes the dolls dance together and brings them to me with Starlite so I can pretend they are riding him. She has taken Rainbow with her when we go to the store. Its so cool to watch her love somthing that I grew up with.
