Wolfie entered the Common Room and plopped herself on the oversized plush green couch. Its cusions were slightly saggy and she guessed that it could use an overhaul. Or better yet, she thought, a complete replacement.
Autumn bounces into the room skidding on all fours across the hardwood flooring, managing to land on the only scatter rug in sight. She flew with speed under the low oak coffee table, ducking as she went past, and into the far wall. She crashed with a start into the fake mantle piece of slate stones that made up the huge fireplace.
Wolfie nodded with a smirk as the pup got up, yipped and shook herself off. Benson was reclining in none other than the slightly newer blue suede reclining chair off to the right of the fireplace. Ciara sat curled up at his side. The two filled the chair and Wolfie knew it would be impossible to get any of them to move.
The rest of her brood was skattered over the old house somewhere. Robyn and Ripple were probably out back playing tug-of-war or chewing up each others tails. And Alo was probably whisking to and fro into the woods. Wolfie shook her head again and reclined with her arms behind her head.
The old house had some renovating needed still, but she was sure that the group of them, now living together at the place would manage to replace things little by little. She was still suprised at all the little things that were found or noticed every day.
HPM had found the crooked stairway that led up the back of the house and up into the attic. Claiming it as her own, she turned it into a secret studio of sorts and wouldnt allow even Wolfie to peek in from time to time. The door was constantly locked with a specialized skeleton key. At one point, Wolfie recalled trying to pick this lock, but to her frustration, HPM had heard the clatter and had been 'home' at the time. Greeted with an unhappy face, Wolfie had thrown up her hands in surrender. That room was off limits...even to her.

Wolfie looked for a blanket on the old couch. A throw, an afghan...something cozy. The fall winds had begun to seep into the old house and soon winter would be upon them. Surley the group would have to weatherize soon. She wondered if any of the humans would be interested in helping her get some logs from the woods. They would definitely need splitting. A store would be needed before the first snow. After that, in this area, they may as well forget finding much dry lumber.
Another sigh cursed through her. She heard the creak of the stairs overhead. Someone was up on the second floor. Most of the rooms hadnt been cleaned out yet and were covered with antiques and sheets and dust. It was such a mess. Thankgoodness for all the good people she had here with her.
"Has anyone picked a room out yet?" She wondered. "I have the floor plans here somewhere...Ill find them this afternoon and make sure to leave them on the desk in the hall for everyone to see. Please dont explore this place without knowing where you are going. Some rooms are off limits and others have been deemed too dangerous until the handymen arrive later in the week."

A roar is heard outside the house walls, and footsteps echo on the porch (I'm imagining an older home, right? So A porch is most likely a diffinite. If I'm wrong easy enough edit later.) Heavly. The doorknob jiggles and then turns letting a cold wind run through the gapping doorway as Fenrir walks in on his hind legs holding the door open for True, who is laden with firewood.
Seeing Wolfie, True gives her a big smile. (^_^) "I saw that your chimney had no smoke, so I took the liberty." True places the forearm size logs next to the fireplace. The wood itself is whole pieces of wood, but not large enough to cause a problem fitting in the fireplace. "We didn't want to rumage through your things outside, so we did our best to get enough wood to start a fire, if you tell me where the ax is, We'll go back out and start a pil outside the door."
Fenrir sniffs the air as he closes the door and looks to wolfie, "We're not the only ones here, are we?"

"No, no...there are many here. And thankyou for the firewood. Axe is in the tiny shed attatched to the back porch of the house. Theres a stump off to one side for splitting as well. Winter is coming soon, Isnt it?"

Wolfie smiled at the newcomer. "You must be Bane. Ive heard Hero speak so much about you coming to join us. Welcome to the...er..." She paused thinking. "High Hopes Moonlit Mansion" She grinned and nodded to herself satisfied at the new name for the house.
"I'm Wolfie. This here is Neverborn," She pointed to her friend who was still looking a bit palor from his trek outside in the cold. His cheeks were as rose red as the newcomers. "Im sorry about the cold in here. It should be warmer soon. We are getting some firewood started up. Im sure that will do the trick."

"Its a pleasure to meet both of you." he smiles and nods to each politly. "No worrys about the cold I am usually naturally warm." he grins and squats down. "I am happy to be here." he grins. "Nice name by the way." he laughs.

Emerges from the back porch and looks to Wolfie. "Um, Miss?" The word miss seems forced, almost alien on his tongue. "We need water, or something to drink, and maybe some salted crackers? Where can I get those?"

Wolfie looked at Neverborn and laughed. "The kitchen silly" she started. "You passed through it when you went out onto the porch. I believe there is some saltines in the pantry next to the refrigerator. Dont trust anything in the fridge...I think it needs cleaning." She makes a face.

With a stretch Wolfie Stands up. "Im going to go see whats taking Neverborn so long with those logs. If anyone wants to come sit out on the backporch I think it has begun to snow a bit. Might be fun to take the Moonlits out for their first snowfall?" Autumn barks from somewhere in the building. Appently she had already begun rushing for the door. Ripple and Robyn followed her and a skittering of little puppy claws could be heard on the hardwood floors from across the house. One Moonlit after another came out of the woodworks so to speak in a barking frenzy

Jabu comes glomping into the room his tongue flopping about as he jumps onto an easy chair and circles once, laying down with a smile. Moosey comes in and Jabu barks and wags playfully.

Taking her pack off her back Lionsrage placed it on the newly fallen snow at her feet. She bent down and dug thru it till she found the snacks she packed for her pups. "Alaster, Calendery come here. Do you guys want a snack?" She called to them. Hearing the bushes behind her she turned around. There they were rolling down a new snow bank and sinking into the snow. She walked over to them, picking them up out of the snow and brushing them off. "You two are being silly" She said to them as she wiped their noses on her shirt. She put the pups down and handed them their snacks. As she was standing back up she heard some barking in the distance. Looking down she saw that her pups had heard it to. Their ears pointed straight up. Lionsrage cuped her hand over her ear and strained to hear what direction it was coming from. "Maybe it is the house we have been searching for." she thought to herself.
Alaster and Calendery took off running to her left. She grabed her pack from the ground and followed her pups as fast as she could follow. Running hard to catch up with them. "Stop" she yelled after them paying no attention as to where she was heading. She burst from the woods to find her pups sitting infront of a old house. Out of breath she scolded her pups. "Don't ever do that to me again guys, I thought something was wrong!" They looked up at her and she couldn't resist those dreamy eyes. She picked them both up in her arms and headed for the house.

Wolfie watched the commotion unfold. Jabu had come busting into the room and there seemed to be more barking coming from outside. "Im going to go out on the back porch... seems like the pups have found something fun to do. Coming wifey?" She looks to HPM.

"hehe, thanks but i think i'll stay in here, i don't think i'd get any work done if i go out and play." Jabu rests his head over his paws and watches the conversation.
