I have this piano instructor, and she assigns me some theory work every week.
I decided it would be a good idea to have some of you answer these questions [or ask your director.]
These are very beginner questions.
I promise, I'm not a beginner. Just at the piano.
What key signatures are these accidentals in?:
1. F sharp
2. B flat
3. F sharp, C sharp
4. None
5. F sharp, C sharp, G sharp, and D sharp
6. F sharp, C sharp, and G sharp
To form a minor chord, the _________ note must be lowered a half step.
In both major and minor keys, the V7 chord is the _______.
500g if all are answered correctly.
:p

1. key of G major/E minor 2. F major/D minor 3. D major/B minor 4. C major/ A minor 5. E major/C sharp minor 6. A major/ F sharp minor 7. Third for a chord, but in a scale it's 3, 6, and 7 (for natural minor at least. 3/6 for harmonic and just 3 for melodic minor) 8. ...chord that starts on 5 and has a 7th?? That question is unclear, sorry.

:p 1. G Major, e minor 2. F Major, d minor 3. D Major, b minor 4. C Major, a minor 5. E Major, c# minor 6. A Major, f# minor 7. Third of the chord (as in root, third, fifth to spell chord) 8. This question is kind of vague... so I'll go ahead and say Dominant as my answer. Can you ask more questions, too? Maybe some harder ones. smile AP Music Theory, FTW! It's my favorite class.
