personally i love early french gothlic styles of art, im attached to darker pieces for some reason even though mos of my personal pieces are pretty mythic related. like i love breaking myths or taking new light on them.
whats ur favorite style of art?
why?

Either dark or very romantic type of art is my favorite. I think it's because sometime it has meaning behind it and I'm attracted to dark things, I'm not goth but something about that type of art is like wow to me.

Baroque period paintings for the win! whee
Although, since this question encompasses all types of art...I love looking at architecture and, of course, for a lack of anything better to call it manga styled art can be quite gorgeous, especially in the hands of true masters like Mokona and such. -_-
Anyway, has anyone been to the Getty or Getty Villa? I went to the latter first then the former and...it truly made a lovely impression on me. Yes, it really is grounding and amazing and wonderful and delightful and all that cal. So if anyone is in the vicinity of either of the museums, they should definitely go. 3nodding

I'm more into rockstar drawings, and dark creations. They're very fn to make. I just drew a band, I think it'ss pretty cool

whats ur favorite style of art?
My favorite style of art... I'd have to say that is the most vague and versatile question I have come across thus far.
Well to begin I like many forms of art. I like painting, pencil sketches, computer graphics, charcoal drawings, photography, singing, dancing, playing instruments, make up (because to me that is an art. a face is a canvas.), etc.
I like abstract drawings and photos that contain paint splatters, butterflies, spiders, cobwebs, eyes, hour glasses, feathers, and even cutesy little swirlies.
I also like interior designs. Like ancient, arched libraries, Victorian castles, etc.
Still life in the artist's own style is always an interesting thing.
I also like seeing people's own characters they make up. Or fan drawings of games or characters they like.
I like fantasy stuff. I guess I do lean more towards the gothic side in some cases.
why?
Most of the stuff I look at are all things that I like. I do play video games. I do read books. And just finding all the little key symbols I admire in another person's point of view is awesome to me. Its interesting.

Most of my favorite artists are all anonymous but I'm sure you'll find quite a few of them on deviantart. There is one artist I definitely recommend and that's Glittersniffer.

I don't have a fav artist but I like alot of the oil paint landscapes and portraits and suck. am also a big fan of animal scenes too, like the english calvery charging into battle - I've got hanging in my room. cost me $350 but was worth it, I think.
