I am ever so glad I didn't vote for Obama, because I'm fairly certain this is NOT the change that 53% of Americans voted for. Unfortunantly, we're stuck with him for the next 4 years, at the very least. I believe Congressional Elections are held in 2010, but at the rate he's going, a year or so is more than enough time to destroy this country.

My Favorite Obama Slick Move of '09 is when he told we were going out of Iraq in April. Then August, and then October. When he went into Baghdad, he told them October 2010, then he went to Congress and requested 83 billion to Iraq and Afghanistan. He already spent more than most presidents.

The scary part is, he'll probably be re-elected.
The Republicans are in no shape to oppose him. The public face of the party is the same as it was during the campaign and during the Bush years; socially stuck in the 50's, paranoid over terrorism, fiscally hypocritical, and seizing upon only the most irrelevant nonsense to attack the Democrats with. It's blatantly obvious that the public does not want this, but there isn't a single major potential candidate that offers something different, and that's unlikely to change in the next few years.
And, worse, if the economy at least appears to have an improvement in the next couple of years (which it almost certainly will), Obama and crew will be portrayed as saviours by an already blatantly biased media, even though the effects of such an appalling waste of money won't be felt for a while.
It's really tragic.

I predict (assuming the republican remember they're the conservative party) in 2010 the dems will take a thrashing and lose the House, the Economy will stick to its normal cycle and recover giving Obama a narrow Victory in 2012. However In 2016 I predict the Dems lose the white house and senate.

Nah, you'll be off a few years. I think they'll lose the Congress in 2014, same with the presidency in 2016.

invisibleairwaves The scary part is, he'll probably be re-elected. sad Yeah invisibleairwaves The Republicans are in no shape to oppose him. Ron Paul Man, Ron Paul, Tea Parties were like his shiznit, The half the GOP is saying what he had said on his campaign trail. http://washingtonindependent.com/41786/ron-pauls-economic-theories-winning-gop-converts I'll write my explanation later, gotta go take a final sad invisibleairwaves And, worse, if the economy at least appears to have an improvement in the next couple of years (which it almost certainly will), Obama and crew will be portrayed as saviours by an already blatantly biased media, even though the effects of such an appalling waste of money won't be felt for a while.
