For those who don't know, the Swine Flu is a virus in Mexico that thousands have caught and killed many people. The Mexican government, as well as our government, is taking precautions and preventive actions against it, stopping people at airports who could possibly have the virus, and luckily for the US, keeping a lot of vaccine against it stashed away in case we need it.
If you've recently been to Mexico and are experiencing fever, coughing, and overall flu-like symptoms, please try and see your doctor as soon as possible!
What do you guys think? Will the Swine Flu from Mexico make it's way to our islands, or will we be safe from the virus that's killed over 100 people and counting? If it does make it's way over here, do you think anyone will die or that our medical services will be good enough to keep us all safe even with the flu going around?
Discuss. :3

News update!
3 people in Hawaii have died of the "Swine Flu" which is now being called H1N1. Most of the victems have died from pre-existing health problems that were made worse due to the flu.
THe U.S. is just now making a vaccine. The old 1950's PSA was either a bluff or the virus has completely mutated beyond what the vaccine could have covered. (think about it 50 years......you have to get a regular flu shot EVERY year)
It seems it's not as bad as the initial reports made it out to be. It is highly survivable just like the seasonal flu.
"There have been no U.S swine flu fatalities so far, but since January more than 13,000 people have died of complications from seasonal flu, officials said. " Apr 29, 2009
