"So, you said you had no more fiancée .. why?"
Wow, personal questions already? Elissa sighed, "It's a long story, really. I don't want to bore you with it." Before Callie could press on the subject, "Hey, how about a smoothie instead of fairy floss?!" Please take the bait, please, please, PLEASE!
Giving her a quizical look, Callie tapped her finger on her chin a moment before shaking her head with a smirk, "Kay! But I want a big one!"
Elissa laughed, "You can have whatever you want, kid."
"It's CALLIE!"

Desdemona hummed to herself as she danced around in circles just ahead of Tango. Dearest brother was bringing her out again and she'd been promised some soda-pop. Their mum was currently working diligently on her newest article for the paper and while she tried to understand her mum needed to get the work done, she simply couldn't handle the boredom. Bourbon had been busy messing with Tango, so in an attempt to assuage her boredom and save his own a**, he suggested they go out to his cafe.
And who was she to deny a chance to go see her brother's favorite spot again?
"Stay where I can see you, Des," Tango warned, narrowing his emerald orbs in the direction his sister was dancing away in.
"Yes, dear one," she purred in response before twirling back in his vision and skipping along his side towards the cafe. "I think I want root beer," she crooned looking at her brother through lidded lashes. "What about you?"
"Coffee," Was the simple response as he opened the door to the little cafe and let her walk in first. She let a hum of approval out as she moved toward the back of the line. Yummy, soda!

Elissa had been scanning the surrounding area for a place where she could pick up Callie a smoothie; in hopes that she'll forget the previous topic of conversation, "Now where would there be a--"
"Right there!" Callie pointed to a small café just east of where they were standing, "Betcha they have smoothies!"
Smirking, Elissa looked in the direction Callie had been pointing to, "You're probably right! Good eye."
The two walked towards the café; one excited for a smoothie, the other excited to sit down and take in what had just happened. Elissa had somehow managed to go from taking an innocent nap on a park bench to pretty much adopting a young orphan who smelt like sun tan lotion.
Opening the door, the two took their place at the back of the line. This day couldn't possibly get any weirder.

Desdemona rolled from her heels to her toes, then back again, her little hands clasped behind her back as she hummed her own tune. The line didn't seem to be moving any where fast. She should have brought at least Whiskey. Sighing softly to herself she unweaved her fingers from each other and reached out to grasp her brother's hand. Hands clasped together she swung their arms back and forth until a particularly yummy scent assaulted her nostrils.
"Oh, what is that good smell?" She wondered aloud, turning her head to see the white haired child. A large grin spread across her face as she let go of her brothers hand and sauntered over to the girl, closing the distance between them in two steps. "You smell positively delicious," the child simpered out, leaning in closer to get a good whiff, completely unaware of 'personal space'
"Desdemona, what have I told you about talking to-- Smoothie girl?"

Callie inched back slightly when the girl invaded her bubble, "Um, thank you?" She was about to comment on the girl's unique scent (she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was, but it was a pretty smelling perfume) but was cut short. Her eyes shot up to the boy who had just addressed her as 'smoothie girl' and she gapped. He got big, "You?!" Oh, she remembered him alright. He had called her a twerp! "It's Mango, right?"
Elissa looked back and forth between the trio; her head began to pound and she didn't think it was because of the looking between the three - it was definitely the smell. Too much!

Tango frowned, unimpressed with the girl calling him by his scent name, opposed to his birth one. Was she being a smart a**, or had she honestly been mistaken?
"Tch,"
"Actually, it's Tango," Desdemona answered for him, sidling back up to her brother's side. She couldn't very well leave her place beside him for long. He got mad. Something about ***** and her not understanding the world and a bunch of other mumbo jumbo. All she knew was that her brother got a lot of attention and when she was attached to his arm, so did she. People liked her brother, despite his cold uncaring attitude. Come to think of it, so did she.
Tango ignored the correction, as if the mistake hadn't been worth mentioning in the first place. "What are you doing here? It's been awhile."

Oh, so Calanthe had met him before? Elissa wondered silently how many others she had met with her mother.
Giggling, Callie winked, "Nah, if I remember it right it was, Mango." She grinned, "If you can call me smoothie girl, then I'm calling you Mango .. Tango." For a moment she stopped mocking him and looked at the girl. She didn't remember ever meeting her before, "Hi! I'm Calanthe, but you can call me Callie. What's your name?" She looked to be about her age. But Tango.
"You look older." Then she realized he had asked her a question, "Oh, my mom abandoned me, then I found Elissa sleeping on a bench and now we're getting a smoothie. What are you doing here?"

Tango gave a shrug to the other female's logic. It made sense, really that she could call him such a thing if he called her smoothie girl. He wouldn't see her enough to be hassled with remembering her name, so what did it matter in the long run? Besides, when said fast enough, it almost sounded as if she said his name correctly anyways. Or sounded like she was a child with a speech impediment. He inwardly smirked at the idea.
"Hello, Callie," Desdemona purred, wrapping both of her arms around one of her brothers. Pressing her front to him, and rubbing her cheek affectionately against his arm, she kept her emerald orbs on the girl before her. The white-haired child obviously had a connection with her brother, and curiosity blended with mischievousness had her dying to find out just how strong that bond was. Callie had no idea their own connection was that of siblings, so why not press a little further and see if the girl-child got jealous? It would be a fun game to play.
Tango ignored his sister's antics, having already been used to it. He supposed it could be worse, and that she could be clinging to some other random boy. He much more preferred that she stuck by his side.
"I am older." He nodded his own conformation before eying her oddly. "Your mother abandoned you?" Just like that? It seemed odd. After a pause he lifted an eye brow at her, before looking at Elissa. "You should know better than to pick up things off benches..."

Calanthe rocked on her heels. The line moved up slightly and Callie smirked. Smoothiessssss.
Cocking an eyebrow at the girl, she tried to be polite but was wondering why she was being so affectionate towards Tango. She was too young to be his girlfriend .. maybe he was babysitting. And besides, the girl never did tell Callie her name.
Looking up at Tango, she nodded, "Yeah. I woke up one morning and she .. just wasn't there." She didn't feel like getting into it with him. Mainly because she was still sensitive about the whole situation herself. Calanthe didn't really feel all too comfortable talking about it with even Elissa, after all. About to change the subject, Elissa cut her off.
"Things?" He's a child, Elissa. Don't start with him. Elissa exhaled, "You should show more respect to those older than yourself, kid."
Bahaha! She called him kid. Yes.

To say Desdemona was put out by Callie's lack of a reaction was an understatement. She was down right miffed. And she didn't even seem to notice her lack of an introduction. Stupid girl.
"Odd." Tango murmured, taking a step forward in the line, his sister following carefully. Noticing her sour expression he gave her a light nudge with his hip and a startled squeak escaped her lips, effectively ridding all scowls from the girl's face.
However, it was quickly replaced on his face. How the hell did this hobo think she was dealing with? "Kid?" The tone was biting as is ire grew. Realizing her brother was getting annoyed, Desdemona quickly disentangled herself from him. An annoyed scoff left his lips as he crossed his arms, as he set a level glare at the woman before him. She may be his height, but he'd kick her a** any day. "I show respect where respect is due." A taunting smirk danced across his lips. "And I don't think being a hobo merits respect."

Calanthe continued to give the young girl a weird look. Why was she scoffing at her? Calanthe didn't do anything! But she ignored it, or tried to at least. It helped that Elissa and Tango were about to get into a brawl. Huh-huh-huh.
"Hobo?" Elissa grinted her teeth, "I was taking a walk and ended up falling asleep on the bench. Excuse me if I didn't want to be cooped up in a hotel room." She sure as hell wasn't a hobo. After all, she had money. Her fiancee had left her a lot of his money. The two also had a shared account, Elissa had her own funds and the two of them had a seperate untouchable account with funds for .. a baby. She gulped, then tried to relax herself. Guess that money can do towards something else now ..
"I just moved here, and don't have a place to stay. Besides, my sister lives in this town .. somewhere."

"Yes." Tango snorted, rolling his eyes dramatically. "Yes. Because a sane person with normal finances would rather sleep on a bench than a hotel room." He was unimpressed to say the least. "I'm sure thats the collective excuse for people like you, right? If your sister lived here, why don't you know where? Why aren't you staying with her?"
Emerald orbs narrowed before he turned his attention back to Calanthe. "Why don't you stay with us? May's a good cook and we've got a pretty big place, actually. It's better than sleeping on park benches."

"Because I don't know where she li--" She stopped.
Calanthe was about to snap back at Tango for the low blow at Elissa, but Elissa put her hand on Callie's shoulder. Stopping her from retaliating.
"May?" Elissa whispered. That was her sister's name, "You're not talking about May Taurt .. are you?" She was always a good cook. Elissa couldn't cook if her life depended on it; May was always the one to cook, but Elissa would make the attempt and try and help. Always failing. She smirked at the flashbacks.

Both siblings were instantly on defense. Tango could practically feel the hair on the back of his neck raise and Desdemona moved to come closer to him, a sneer planted on her face.
"What do you want with our mother?" Desdi snapped, only to have her mouth clamped by Tango's hand.
"Who are you, exactly?" He questioned, instead, his emerald orbs narrowing, an identical pair mirroring the action from the younger sibling.

Calanthe looked up at Elissa in shock, then back to the two of them. What was going on?!
Elissa looked at the two with blank stares, "Elissa .. Taurt." She paused, "May's my sister."
