Mina walked into the shop for her third time. She still have her little sushi roll and was truly believing that it was special one. It hadn't molded or anything else that a regular one would have done by now.
The fairy fox girl sat down and placed her sushi on the table along with Saraphina the kirin.
Saraphina walked over to the roll and smelled it. "It still smells fishy." She giggled a little as she then sat down.
"Yeah, it sure does. At least it isn't smelling worse or anything. That means maybe it will be special." Mina nodded.

Kait walked in, looking around. Spotting someone else, she went over to sit by them. "Hi! I'm new here. My name's Kait, who are you?" She smiled at the other girl, and at the little kirin. "Oh, she's so cute!" She hadn't noticed the sushi yet.

Mina looked up and smiled brightly. "Hiya! I'm Mina. I'm pretty new too. This is my Kirin Saraphina and my sushi Philly." The fairy fox girl pointed to the kirin and then the sushi. "I named it...is that weird? Cause I really don't want to eat it." She explained to Kait.
Saraphina bowed to the other girl. "Nice to meet you."

Kait looked down at the sushi when Mina pointed to it. "Its nice to meet you too..." she trailed off, eyes on the little piece of food, a puzzled expression on her face. She had this cookie in her purse, this little yummy cookie that she hadn't eaten yet. The rest of the pack had been so good, but this one cookie... There'd been something different about it. She could just tell. Maybe her cookie was like this sushi?
Without saying anything else, she turned and dug through her purse, producing the cookie and setting it next to the sushi. "Kinda like how I feel about this cookie? Its different. I know it." She laughed. "Maybe I should name my cookie!"

Mina looked at the cookie and nodded. "Yeah, it must be. Cause if you were anything like me you would have eaten it." The fairy fox girl laughed. It was true a cookie would have been pretty hard for her not to eat...sushi on the other hand.
"Yeah, you should. Mine's called a Philadelphia Roll so I thought Philly and Phil would be good names." There was no way she was going to say that long name all the time.
Saraphina looked at the cookie as well. She smiled up. "What kind of cookie is it? It's got a Panda on it. That's cute." She was colored like a Cheetah herself so she found the cookie neat.

Kait smiled at Saraphina. "Its a Hello Panda cookie. I had a whole pack--they're very yummy--but for some reason I just didn't want to eat this one. Sounds like that might a be a good thing!" she laughed.
Turning her attention now to the little cookie again, she looked thoughtful. "Hmm. What to call you... How about Panda? Since, you know, there's a panda on the cookie," she said, feeling kinda lame for choosing such an obvious name.

"They are filled with chocolate aren't they?" Mina said as she looked at the cookie. Knowing better she pulled out her Bag O' Tricks and got a piece of chocolate. "There that's better." She said as she ate her chocolate.
Mina then focused back on Kait and her name. "I think that's a good name. It does look like a Panda and everything." She nodded with a smile.
Saraphina was glad Mina got her fix. She smiled up at the two girls. "I think it sounds good." She looked at the two pieces of food. It was a bit odd to name them, but then again it might be good in the end.

"Yeah, this one is." Kait looked down at the little cookie nestled against the sushi. She still had a funny feeling about this. After all, it was just a cookie. A cookie is meant for eating, right? It was food, for cryin' out loud!
Giving her head a shake, she reached out to scratch Seraphina behind the ears. "Thank you," she said to both. "I, er... Hope it likes it too?"

"Yeah? Chocolate is the best. It's a good thing Philly is sushi or else he might not be here anymore." Mina giggled and winked to Kait. She didn't really know that for sure, but the fairy fox girl did love her chocolate.
Saraphina liked the scratch to her ears. "I'm sure she will." She said as she smiled up at Kait.

Kait looked relieved to hear Seraphina say that. "Thanks," she said to the small creature, giving her extra scratches as she chuckled at Mina. "I kinda like sushi. Its alright every once in a while."

"Yeah? This was going to be my first try. I don't like fish much or at all, but I do love cream cheese." She looked to the roll and smiled. "If it's special I'm sure it will be happy I didn't eat it." Mina giggled at the thought.
Saraphina enjoyed the rubbing. She wondered what it would be like once this "Philly" was around. She hoped she was a good Pal for it. That is what Saraphina was after all.

Kait nodded, laughing softly. "I'm sure it will too." She eyed the food on the table--they still looked just like regular food, nothing had changed--and wondered again if she was crazy for going along with this. "Well, if they are... We should have a playdate or something... when they... change?"

Mina smiled and nodded. "That sounds like a great idea. I'm sure Philly will want to make friends and so will Panda. This way they will already know someone or at least they will." She nodded again to Kait.

Mina looked at the roll. "Yeah, I guess that's true. I mean they haven't got eyes or ears or anything...but maybe it's like an unborn baby?" Okay, so that sounded totally bizarre even for Mina. She shrugged as it didn't matter.
