Born and raised to be a cunning predator, Dafina's potential for deadliness is far higher than her small size might lead one to imagine. In fact, her status as a 'runt' has driven her to become even more fierce and proud than she might otherwise have been. Refusing help from any but those closest to her, and looking down on others who are so weak as to actually ask for it, Dafina is certainly the arrogant sort. Her kind are superior in her eyes, and she doesn't shrink from eating the flesh of 'lesser' kirin--they tried to kill her before she was even truly born, so why should she refrain from hunting their injured, sick, and old? Her hunting style is opportunistic and resembles that of a Pryrin most of the time, otherwise. She won't touch foals, for they are often fiercely guarded, and she percieves herself as better than the 'lessers' who attempted to ensure her own death. Her temper is a short one, and is one of the few reasons she'll attack another kirin when she isn't hungry.
Dafina looks out for herself and her own, pure and simple.

Past: Born last as the undersized, unexpected fourth egg of Lysander and Odette, it was not long before it became apparent that Dafina's kind was unwelcome. While her mother was still weak from the birth, a mob of kirin attacked. When the chaos settled, the eggs lay scattered--although not so thoroughly as their attackers had believed. Lysander found Dafina's egg, and proceeded to raise her to be a cunning predator despite the small size that has plagued her since her birth.
