The Lich would quickly turn what had been created as a church/bell tower into an icy abyss. He'd drown the light from each room, replacing each candle flame with a black flame that seemed to each cry out in pain. The stained glass windows would freeze over, letting in minimal light but enough to see nonetheless. The floor would quickly become a mixture of a thick black ooze and ice and behind the frozen alter would stand the Lich, who was now quickly freezing and shattering every cross is could see. The statue of the Mother Mary behind him would begin to weep blood, and in front of her would appear the ethereal inverted pentagram that served to continuously revive his creations, though several more spheres would appear as the Lich would summon demons from the black ooze and even warriors from the ice, just enough to fill the room.

"Is it the brat of the Impostor I am to face? She could be a problem...but I cannot run. No, I do not need two of them chasing after me...if Kain should appear to aide her, then so be it. I would love nothing more then to provide the graves for two heretics!" He'd begin to laugh in his chilling voice once more while summoning several traps all about the room, the first being the double doors of ice.

Annette had entered through the bell tower itself. So her heeled boots echoed on the stone steps as she descended them to meet with the Lich. Her hand rested on her hilt as always, her free hand tracing the stone like pattern of teh walls. "I do hope you had a better plan for keeping me out other then the front door?" she asked, gesturing toward the icy doors. "And I assure you sir, I am no heretic, by any means, and you are the last person to go giving that title out."

"Ah, but you are a heretic! You an each one of those supposed Dark Lords serving that King of Impostors. Spiral, whether we all like it or not, is now our Lord...a Lord you go against, thus making you the grand definition!" He'd gather a force of well-armed demons in front of him, each a combination of his magics of dark and ice. "And one could even go so far as to call you a harlot; are you not the proclaimed Dark Daughter of the Impostor? Do you, too, worship ages past and refuse to accept the evolution of both species and technology?"

The door would completely disappear now, not locking them in but instead giving her and idea of what he'd done in casting them into a separate realm, one of their own to do battle in. "Only one of us is going to return to Lord Spiral as I hardly believe you would come to any sort of revelation and serve this world's only God. I will warn you, though...the shadows of this castle are under my control thus I would not suggest moving through them...but I doubt you will need to. You control an armor no doubt, and thus some magnificent amount of power."

He'd would slowly move back, not stepping but seeming to just hover over to a familiar throne of ice behind him and sit, the tendrils at the bottom of his robes thrashing violently. He'd keep the large, brute-like soldiers in front of him at all times, though he made sure they moved their bulking selves if he needed to see her. The inverted pentagram that served to constantly resurrect his creations would fade away, though it had not disappeared. "So how are we going to do this? Are you going to show your valor and grace by fighting through these loyal servants, or did you have something else in mind?"

"I'm going to assume that since your hiding behind corpses, you've got no other strength aside from that Necromancy, which may I add..." She summoned her own corpses, using his talent she'd copied. "Is a very nifty trick. I've been trying to find the perfect way to perform necromancy for some time, but this works well for a beginner. I'll work on perfecting it when I have more time on my hands." She sent her small group to fight with his group. Let teh peons distract teh peons really, much like chess.

It was indeed like chess; the various peons about the room would fight hers though his larger ones never moved from their positions, their large forms made to take many hits before needing assistance. The compact ice served as a regenerative armor combined with the dark energy he'd imbued into them to allow them to take more damage and regenerate more. Since he'd focused so much on their defense, their offense was...slow. True be it he'd given them gigantic axes made from the same materials as their bodies, but they couldn't move the weapons with any extra speed. But, they could do their jobs.

"Necromancy is not something you learn, it is something that consumes you! You are right, my body is very fragile, but do you honestly think I would wish it this way? There are some things in this world that you must sacrifice for, harlot...but I feel my words are wasted; you will do as you do. I cannot say I have ever heard of a vampire mimicking abilities, nor anyone mimicking abilities at such a quick speed, and so precise...is this the power of the armor he cursed you with?" His fragmented digits would wrap upon the arm of the throne for a moment before curling into a fist.

Feeling he had no other choice he'd wave his hand towards the girl. One of his peons would quickly move about the room, hacking and slashing with a rather large, crude sword. Aside from the sword, one could really only see a black cape that seemed to move with a life of its own. It would come to stand only a couple of meters from Annette before his form would be revealed...it was now obvious he had taken Dracula with him. Not summoned him, or rather not at this time, but had called him into the tower when she had entered before sealing them off. Really he was a spitting image of Vincent...though he was covered in blood at this point from previous feasting.

"Tell me, why is it you serve that Impostor? I have the authentic right here, and quite frankly I don not think he is any sort of impressed. Though I have robbed him of his speech, I do not think it is a hard conclusion to come to. But honestly, why serve someone so weak? Why serve someone who cannot even emerge from the Dark Ages? Would you give your life for someone so weak and powerless?"

Annette's eyes slid to see Dracula as he charged toward her. "Perhaps maybe because he saved mine?" she said simply, hopping back away from the slashing sword. "It's something of a debt I wanted to repay you see." She moved again, using teh surface of the ice to slid across the floor toward the Lich. "Not that I have any reason to explain myself to you."

"Are you truly that narrow minded?" With the slight lift of a fragmented index finger he'd create a massive wall of ice shards in front of himself and send it forward towards her. At the same time tendrils of the dark material on the floor would lash out to try and grab Annette to keep her in place. "Think outside of the box harlot; if I am aware of your regenerative properties then why would I try and slice you?" For now, Dracula would have lept into the air and begun to hide amongst the shadows.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 29, 2009 5:25 pm

Annette jumped up and away from said tendrils, landing lightly atop one of the chess pieces of his side. She hopped over to another rather quickly, crossing the gap using the soldiers as stepping stones. She wasn't about to argue with him about her tactics. She did however summon a couple more of her own soldiers, sending them at him as well.

He'd begin to bellow out a haunting laugh as she drew towards him. Around his chair was a circle with a radius of a few meters, a circle one could only see as slightly more glistening ice. For now he'd wait for her to draw into his area, though he'd hardly just let her. Falling quickly from the shadows up top was Dracula, falling in front of Annette and slashing, a slash that would also release a shock wave meant to hit her summoned goons and slice them in two...her as well, if she didn't move. As a further precaution, the Lich himself would rapidly fling ice shards off at the goons.

The black tendrils he'd used earlier would lash from the floor and wrap around Dracula's arm with the sword, She'd be sure to use several, at least enough to keep his arm from moving to the point of slashing The shock wave she'd actually have to dodge, hopping back to land on the floor. She drew her sword by this time, eying Dracula a moment. She moved and uncorked the flask on her side, letting some pour out onto the floor.

The nosferatu would look to its arm and let out a muffled roar...though his arm wouldn't be a hindrance for long. Thus the Lich's haunting voice would echo again. "Ah, so you do mimic abilities you see! Quite the power indeed, but a dangerous one as well! Nonetheless, little Harlot...you may mimic them, but you cannot use them tactfully else you would have known better..." Dracula would sever his own arm after switching the sword to his other hand, allowing his regeneration to replace the arm.

Her plan, or at least a part of it would work...for a moment. He knew of that flask, thus he was more concerned with taking it from Annette then the spilt blood. He'd lunge at her to strike with as much force as he could ---

He'd grab the sword and pull Dracula to him and literally knock his head off. He'd regenerate eventually, but head injuries took a great deal longer. He'd toss the sword aside revealing no harm upon him, just a gash in his glove. "Necromancy...Dark Chess. Tell me, was that your Queen, or in the case of necromancy, your Champion? It's extremely bad form to have the champion attack the summoner without having defeated the other summoner's champion...thus, I will act as Dark Lord Annette's champion."

He'd look to the slowly reforming Dracula and smirk, then look to Annette. "And before anyone says anything about the lack of summoning - wrong. Necromancy is a tool for summoning the dead and I haven't been alive in centuries. And it was her that summoned me less she wishes to argue it..." He'd turn his attention from her back to Dracula. "Still, I'll keep beating on this supposed champion. I believe Annette is more then enough to vanquish one of my traitors."

"DAMN YOU!" He'd rise from his throne and let out a banshee shriek as he exclaimed, then slowly sit back down. Kain's explanation was fitting of the situation sadly and whether Annette agreed she had summoned him or not...he knew how Kain got there. He'd watched the b*****d rise from Annette's shadow, an ability he knew he possessed only because of Kain and Annette's link as children of Vincent. "So my game comes to an abrupt end then...so be it. She is a novice necromancer and has yet to summon...I would be flabbergasted if she even reached this throne!" With that he'd create and ice wall spanning from roof to floor, wall to wall. He'd shatter it, turning it into several thousand ice shards of which he'd shoot off at Annette.

Kain at this point had tossed Dracula's body across the room and impaled his head to the ground with his own sword, upon which he sat. "Don't let them hit you; even though you'll regenerate the ice is meant to work its way into your blood and slowly freeze you from the inside."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 30, 2009 2:14 pm

She'd known that Dracula would take his own arm off, much like a rat in a trap, but regeneration took energy and energy came from the only source of food vampires could get. The flask was more bait then anything. Of course, Kain's appearance was something unexpected, as was what he called her. She didn't have to ask how he got there, she knew, she did wonder why he was helping her. For now she'd just smirk at his rule he basically pulled from a hat.

Shaking her head she looked up as the ice shards started up. "Figured there was some sort of trick to those." she said. She was starting to not like the idea of copying other attacks, but she did plan on practicing them till she could use them herself, so the shock wave with her own sword wasn't anything to hard.

"My armor, eh? Figured you'd be the one to take it, but I'm pretty sure the now deceased...further deceased...again...Vincent Mikhail didn't explain a second ability to it given I killed em' before he could learn about it!" With his left hand he'd raise Dracula's body into the air, the blood lump sliding up under a demonic portrait upon stained glass. "That's not it. It's just fun." When her shock wave managed to deflect the shards and smash them, he knew she'd just created smaller shards to be hit with, thus he'd take control of the water molecules in them. At this point, Annette's armor would take on an azure glow. Kain would form four large shards from them and toss one into each of Dracula's wrists and one into each of his shins.

"Ability was given to me by a nice little girl, actually. Called em' Priestesses back then. Simple: You can control water down to its molecular level...not we knew s**t about molecules back then. It's an inate ability of the armor you can tap into and no doubt quickly learn. So, this bony b*****d controls ice and you control water. Pretty sure we know who wins that one!" He'd made himself laugh. Again. Still, he felt he could give just a little more. If she was using the armor right, then she was storing every ability she saw. Thus, he'd move to Dracula's body and create a ring of fire around it and turn the ice in the body to stone. His armor would allow her to use the exact power he'd of used...that didn't mean what he'd performed, rather what he did: Create and manipulate flame.

After giving her a puzzle to solve, and hopefully she would solve it quickly, he'd move back to Dracula's head and create several stone shards which would quickly find their way into Dracula's forehead, soon stringed together by a vine. Then Kain would finally take his place back on top of the sword. "There ya go, Judas! Just like your bestest friend!" More laughing from his own damned antics.

He'd notice the large orb symbolizing Dracula would have shattered...and to his dismay, the ones representing his undead had vanished as well, leaving only one: His dragon. Thankfully it had been his master who destroyed it, thus the others would have thought it vanquished. Instead, the Lich would cackle and summon the beast into the church. The floor would ripple like a lake as it emerged quite literally out of Hell. It would let out a roar with the same icy pitch as the Lich and turn to look at Annette.

"By your own idiotic rules, Kain, I believe you as her champion have defeated mine and thus earned the right to come at me...but I know you. You will aide her indirectly and will not come at me. This is her battle to be fought, no matter how much you want to fight. But in destroying what I summon, you do her job for her and deny her key experience with that armor and chip away at her own honor! Now, I am not stupid...I know better then to think I could cast you from this place, much less think you could not return. But I know you, deep deep down in your heart, want to see this harlot succeed. I will keep the reason secret so long as you ---"

"The reason is because throughout history I've always had someone smarter then me around that I called sister that made me feel like I wasn't crazy and didn't do anything stupid. They've always made sure the women I've picked were good for me and weird as it sounds, I've always wanted a female to be connected to me through blood. Two brothers...loveless. They were family, yes, but my mother was the one that was always kind to me, and showed me love and warmth. My brothers just made me beat em' up. So now I find I have a technical blood sister and I couldn't care less by what means. But I know I want her to be careful and I want to keep her safe." He'd look to Annette for a split second, pretty much embarrassed to the point of looking like a cooked lobster at this point.

"So there's my deep dark secret! But out of respect for HER...I'll let her fight her own battle. I'll let her learn and experiment, and in the end I'll cheer her on as she breaks each one of those bones! So stop cowering; I'm not going to interfere any longer. But I'll not leave, either. So shut the hell up and fight, Lich!"

"I find it odd that you have a history of killing off the ones you love...aside from those you call siblings. Your parents, your lovers...but not once have you made a true attempt to kill off your two bumbling brothers nor those sisters...you seek out warmth and approval in the strangest ways. But I must thank you for leaving this battle to us." He'd turn his attention to Annette and laugh while the dragon's chest piece would quickly occupy with the black flame. "Before I scorch you from the Earth, I must know harlot: How do you feel about this idiot?"
PostPosted: Fri May 01, 2009 7:56 pm

Annette frowned a bit, she'd hoped the shock wave would of at least turn the things to dust. She heard Kain as he mentioned her having his armor and nodded, her fingers moving to trace the pin as it glowed. She watched as he manipulated the water, realizing what he was getting at as he mentioned the Lich controlling ice.

She had to raise a brow as he started messing with Fire however, she smirked and rolled her eyes, now he was just making it easy. She had to take her attention from him as the dragon was summoned. She turned her head a bit to look at it. It was the same one from before it seemed, the one that Spiral had turned into Armor. She'd then slide her eyes to the Lich as he spoke up. "You call me harlot then question the condition of my honor? You are very strange." she pointed out before Kain spoke up, cutting the Lich off mid sentence.

She hadn't turned to face him till he had finished what he wanted to say. She caught his expression and couldn't help but smile a bit. The Lich's question was one she sort of expected. Though she'd turn to look at the dragon, noting the flame. She had a plan forming as she started answering him. "Your asking me how I feel about the person I was brought to fear, yet respect. I grew up an only child when I was human, so I'd expect that I feel for him what I would feel for an older sibling. As much as I was told not to trust him, I have to admit, I still admire him for some of the things he's done. I'd also like to point out that, other than him killing Vincent the first time, he's yet to do anything that would keep me from trusting him."

She moved now, her sword moving into a guard stance. "Now, I believe you mentioned something about scorching me?" she asked. As she moved the ice on teh floor around her had already started to melt, puddling, the melted area growing rapidly to include the entire floor.

"You say he has given you no reason not to trust him, yes? Are then oblivious to history; do you turn a blind eye to the havoc he has wrecked upon the rest of the world? What makes you thing you are so special as to avoid his lies; his deception? Can you see the future, little harlot." He'd shake his head and look to the tail of the beast while it charged. "Spiral save us from this ignorance..."

The dragon would unleash a blinding light from its core, the sign it was ready. Thus, its head would turn towards Annette. Its bones would begin to rattle as its mouth opened slowly, though the black fire would burst forth in a continuous stream, scorching the room. There was heat in the blast of course, like the lava of a volcano though the true threat was in the plague it carried with it. To touch the flame was to contract the flesh-devouring virus.

He'd stand as the beast roared and grin as the heat washed over his aura, though he'd contract the virus from the miasmic black flame. He'd watch as his hands were eaten away at a pace that he nearly couldn't catch up to with his regeneration. He had an idea of how to fix the problem, but he was more keen on upholding his promise to allow Annette to fight her fight. Hell if it didn't hurt and itch like a rash on steroids, though.
