Will update with his cert once it comes

A rustle in the tree above... a bird. A crunch a few feet to his right... a rabbit stepping on a twig and snapping it. Nothing unusual floated around the dosing stallion, curled up in a casual fashion beneath one of the lingering pines brave enough to stand so close to the monstrosities that were the mountains that broke through the soil and rose into the clouds with their jagged rocks and equally jagged paths but a few yards from his current post. The stone giants dominated this part of the landscape, making for an interesting dreamscape for the ever sleepy boy. His tail swayed up around his chest in lax response to the movements and twilight life around him, ears twitching now and then in the barest of interest.

But... something was out there, wasn't it? The long, slender limb gave a flick of recognition - it was an unknown body, out there... Hocus stirred slightly, reluctant to depart from the sanctuary of his mind and dreams and the lovely colorful world around him he'd create with the formally mentioned gifts of thought. But he'd have to wake up eventually. Even his internal clock was readying the wake up alarm, his stomach readying a threatening growl when he would finally kick himself into consciousness.

Which had to be soon... he guessed... he regretted...

...he was up. Damn.

Hocus yawned, blinking once before settling back to sealed eyes as he was so prone to do. He didn't actually need to see, and why bother straining the eyes when he didn't plan on going anywhere today... er, night. Apparently, he'd slept the day away.

Again.

Oh well, no losses here~

A soft breeze rushed the fresh smell of pine into Sokanon's nose. She had wandered down from the mountain for the first time in a long time. And yet she was still reluctant, even after convincing herself that she needed to explore. She then took notice of a bird in a tree, and a rabbit on the ground. Noting their slightly-off behaviours, she stared around as she stopped her strolling. Finally she noticed another Soquili curled up under a pine. Tilting her head curiously, she stepped closer.

As she came very close, a dry leaf crackled under her front left hoof. She cringed at the sound and hoped she did not startle the other. Then she thought of how the stranger might attack her. Panicking slightly, she quickly trotted behind a large pine, slightly tripping over an exposed root in the process—and therefore making more noise.

Hocus frowned slightly at the sudden sound - his senses trailed out and around him, searching for the source. It felt rather familiar, whatever this newcomer was, to the stranger in his dream... But a dream is a dream, is it not? A figment of the mind and imagination, a product of the senses working out problems and glitches and -

Another noise? His ears and tail twitched, following the sounds with interest slowly creeping up out of the darkness of sleep. Again the large male yawned, stretching ever so slightly as if he were more feline than equine, before returning to his content position with a puff of a sigh.

"Well..?" came his drowsy drawl, eye cracking open ever so faintly to peek out towards where he'd last heard the sound of... well, whatever it was. A tree? Larger than the one he rested beneath, big enough to hide whatever it was behind it. "I'm up. Aren't you going to at least say 'hello' after waking me up?"

So he wasn't actually awoken by the stranger, but he'd technically not fully moved until whomever it was showed up on the scene, so he wasn't lying... fully. He could sense no hostility though from the other, no malice or threat that he need concern himself with. And after all, if someone was up and about at this time of d-... er, night... although twilight might count as both... Anywho! If someone capable of speech was around and he was conscious for once, why not have a conversation or two before he slipped back into the comforting embrace of sleep?

Considering how rather new and lost he was in these strange lands... a conversation might actually do the odd-ball stallion some good.

Resigning to the fact that there was no way out of the situation, Sokanon stepped out into the open toward the other. "I'm sorry for waking you... I was just walking along and noticed you sleeping and was about to leave, and—" she stopped talking; she realized she was starting to rant.

She pawed at the ground nervously, awkward with the situation. It was bad enough she came down the mountain, but to actually socialize? Nerve-racking for sure, as she had not spoken aloud in a long time, let alone with another being. When was the last time? ... She had long forgotten. Her thoughts drifted into her own little world; she started to look at the trees fondly. She did not know these trees yet. Then, suddenly, she realized where she was, and that she did not know his name. Heck, he did not know hers!

"So sorry! I should introduce myself. I'm Sokanon..." she said quietly.

An ear twitched in her direction, the only real sign of interest he was capable of showing so soon after his slumber. Really, he was rather fascinated with the idea that he'd found another odd one like himself. The almost serpentine tail he carried, never mind the armor and his habits, were so unlike the usual ones he'd seen, all covered in fur and hair with tails they could only swish or sway.

Had he been capable of more than a twitch, he might have been bouncing around in joy with twenty questions a minute.

Perhaps his sleepy nature was his saving grace then - this mare didn't seem the type who'd appreciate such a rambunctious first meeting. Or maybe she would, who was he to say?

Hocus gave a shrug, a subconscious response to her first apologies leaving him pondering a moment why he gave such a movement before his mind caught up with the situation.
"Don't worry. I needed to wake up anyways. I've been sleeping all day-" he paused with a great yawn, giving her a drowsy smile with his eye still only a crack open.
"You did me a favor really."

Not to say he wouldn't have enjoyed sleeping the night away as well, but it suddenly seemed to cruel to keep saying she was at fault here.

His own ponderings and slow awakening made him oblivious to her silence, though he kept an ear open to her as he sent out awakening calls to his muscle bit by bit, flexing where he lay in a gradual way to ensure that when he did finally stand, blood would not rush around uneasily and bring along pricks and pains.

But she did speak again, and he looked back up with a slight tilt of the head as he digested the words. Introductions..? Oh. Right. You do that upon meeting someone new, don't you?
"Sokanon..? Nice to make your acquaintance-" since when was this sort of very polite greeting on his auto pilot?-
"My name is Hocus."

"It's nice to meet you, Hocus," Sokanon replied. She began to take note of his appearance. A golden body, with a brown armour-like chest, and strange leggings with which she could not identify. A long, snake-like tail with brown near the end, and a light gold muzzle. No mane at all. Definitely not the average sort of equine... like her, in that sense.

Then she began to wonder:
"So... what brings you to this area?" she asked, slowly walking closer to get a better look at him. There was no way he was real. No way. She tilted her head slightly, thinking maybe if he were an illusion he would disappear from being looked at in a different point of view. Nope.
