she was always my favourite character, she was head strong and intelligent. i think the satAM sonic series was by far the best. it focused on a darker side, which is probably why it got canceled in the end. anyone know atually why the series got cancelled? any news of it coming out on DVD?

Miya12 she was always my favourite character, she was head strong and intelligent. i think the satAM sonic series was by far the best. it focused on a darker side, which is probably why it got canceled in the end. anyone know atually why the series got cancelled? any news of it coming out on DVD? I liked Sally's voice (Kath Soucie = great voice actress), but other than that the character annoyed the heck out of me. I can't really put my finger on it as to why, other than maybe an idea that Sonic didn't need a(nother) love interest. Then again, I didn't think much of the whole series to be honest, mainly because of the now common theme of reducing Tails' role to bystander. The animation was far better than AoStH and the plots a lot less silly, but Tails had the occasional chance to shine. Plus the format was very simple: Sonic and Tails try and defeat Robotnik. Very few characters came back for more than one episode, whereas the Knothole lot were always there, taking some of the limelight. At the risk of just perpetuating a Net myth - and I'm sure people here will correct me - I assumed it got cancelled because Power Rangers was trouncing it in the ratings. As for DVD, we wish. Amazon had Super Sonic on DVD a year or two ago, while I think there was originally at least one other DVD. No sign of boxsets as far as I know - certainly tvshowsondvd.com isn't listing anything. DW

Not to be mean, but I hate sally redface sad . There's something tabout her that annoys me alot. I think Sonic should be with Amy.

I happen to be fond of Sally. As of late she's been portrayed as a cruel person, but I blame that on lousy writers. That and the fact that Sonic flat out abandoned her.
I must say that I dislike the Mina VS. Sally debate. They themselves aren't enemies. It's as bad as the Aeris VS. Tifa arguement.
I'll leave it at that. I'm a little too drained to give all my reasons for liking Sally right now. Perhaps another day.

I already expanded on my view on Sally and the current situation from about halfway down this page to pretty much the end of the thread, so I hope that nobody minds if I just cross-post. I don't think that Sonic flat-out "abandoned" her - I don't think that either of them was giving the other much of a choice. *points to link for explanation*

I never liked her. I just found her really annoying. No I haven't seen the show. But I have a few comics and I just didn't like her. I mean what's the point of her in it? Besides Amy is the best female in Sonic.
Maybe I don't like her cause I was introduced to Sonic Adventure 2 first.

I am a very big fan of Sally. Same here for me: Because of her maturity. I will not say that she is any better or worse than any other character, because I don't believe in the whole "Character X is WAY better/WAY worse than Character Y" thing. But Sally is definitely one of, if not, my most favourite character. I think she will make a fine future ruler of Knothole Kingdom! As for her quarrels with Sonic... I just think the two of 'em need Dr. Phil! xd
Also, Sally is my favourite character to draw! heart

SonicoCyborg And I am a Sonic Team Fanatic, and my brain blocks any oppinion with non-official roles >.< For what I've been hearing somewhere, many people hate Sally... o.O The issue of whether or not Sally can be seen as canon (I prefer the word "canon" to "official" since Sega has to give sanction for any character to be used with the Sonic licence) is open to debate, since she was plastered all over SegaWorld Sydney to the point where they were even selling plushies. One day, I'll get around to researching what the deal was with that.

I suppose my love for Sally and the other Archie series characters comes from the fact that I've been collecting the comic books since I was 8 or 9 years old. I'm 22, now. I still recall when Sally had pink fur and black hair. The writers later made an excuse that Sally into a vat of chemicals during one mission, and it altered her colour, and it took a few years for her to return to normal colour. Truth being, they simply didn't have the required colours at hand, for the longest time, to colour Sally in the right colours. rofl Hmm... I'm curious to go look at my collection to see what issue they began colouring her properly, again... brb! xp

DW another love intrest? sally was the only love intrest in that series though yeah her voice was cool. that actor also did the voice of the girl in the animated series of casper
