Zephyiote lay on the floor, on a mound of pillows, practically immersed in them. She was tired, there were bags under her eyes, and her belly felt strangely empty. Her steps came too easily now, after having carried that weight for so long. Her joints were a little sore, and standing and sitting was a little awkward. But those were trivial, nothing, compared to the treasure, her reward.
Her children. Her glorious, brilliant children. Well, almost children. They were eggs, but she couldn't recall anything more beautiful. Except perhaps Neuta of course. That silly little boy, that looked like chocolate. Zephy had thought her life complete when she found Seiki. She had never imagined being happier. But now that she had a son as well, and more children on the way...it was as if her heart was fit to burst. What had she done to be allowed such amazing happiness. This was a dream come true. She had a home, a family! Every day, she woke up, eager to see Neuta grow and learn, to play and enjoy life. She loved him with all of her heart. Just as she loved Seiki. Just as she loved all of these eggs.
And what an assortment they were. So many colors! Purples, reds, yellows, greens, pinks, blacks and greys. It was like a little rainbow, sitting on the little pillow cushions in front of her. She was exhausted, too tired to wonder about where some of the patterns and colors had come from. She simply smiled and watched them through half lidded eyes, sighing happily every so often. "They are beautiful, are not they?" she asked aloud, though whether it was rhetorical or not was hard to say.
She stretched her limbs, one at a time, careful not to bump anything with her wings. She wondered if any of the new children would be winged pans. Oh well. She would have to be patient and see. And after being pregnant for so long...this would be a nice break before she had to care for babies outside of her tummy.

Little brown eyes stared at their mother, questioning her as she stared at the large shiny spheres near her. She hadn’t been able to give him as much attention as she used too, as a matter of fact the both of them had been busy it had seemed, which was staring to wear on the little chocolate child. Squeaking lightly at his mother, tiny limbs slowly pulled himself toward her and the large pillow fortress. He had to get a closer look at those shiny objects laying proudly before her.
“Nyaa?” The little brown babe stared up at his mother questioning her question before looking at the eggs again. They were all so very colorful, all but one anyway. What were they, his urge to get closer and touch them so hard to resist. All about the same size except for that strange black one. “They are all so beautiful Zephyiote. You did such a good job in the birthing process. Just rest now, Seiki will be back with water and food.” Yuula smiled at new mother before flitting down towards the little Neuta, her black eyes staring at him lightly. “I know, I know. You want to play. Soon, sweet one, soon.”All balance was lost when the white Fae flew in front of him, his attention torn from the eggs in front of him to her. Play? Yes, he would like to play, and didn’t understand why he couldn’t play now. Making a disgruntled snort he decided to give in to the comfort of the pillows and wait. Eyes shifting upwards towards his mother he whined before looking back towards the little white fae. Boring…----------------------------------------- His heart was bursting at the seems, four eggs, four of them! How proud he felt as he prepared a grand meal for them all. A large salad, some citrus fruit, two fish for protein for Zephyiote, and some fresh spring water. She had to be hungry as she was tired and the least he could do was prepare a meal for her. Whistling towards Nora for help the dire owl flew to his side, eying him up before chuckling to herself. He most certainly looked like one hell of a goofball grinning like a little madman. She was proud of him though. Coming such a long way from being an outcast to creating his own family. “Congratulations sweet Seiki.” the owl whistled at him before picking up the large salad bowl that had been fastened with a rope with her talons. “Thank you for all the help, Nora. “ He smiled at her before outing the flames, plucking the spring water jug from the ground along with the fish fillets and walking back inside the den.
“There you are. I brought you food and drink. You look.. Famished.” The male smiled softly towards Zephyiote before making his way over to her, the dire owl flying closely behind him. She looked so very tired and it killed him to see her like this but he knew everything would be alright. She just needed rest.

Zephyiote smiled, watching Neuta totter about. Oh what a darling he was! It sure would be busy with four more babies tottering around. At least Neuta would have someone to play with. She scooped her son into her arms, ticking his tummy gently with a finger. Oh her little darling. Her little baby Avia. What a cute little boy. What a joy. "Oh Neuta, little darling. I am sorry if you are feeling neglected. But I promise, you will have lots of brothers and sisters to play with soon." she beamed at him and gave his cheek a motherly nuzzle. "I love you so much, my beautiful baby boy." She gave a polite little nod to Yuula, sighing yet again. Yuula really was a great help too. She was so helpful with Neuta, so kind, so caring. Zephyiote valued her part in their family. She viewed Yuula as a nanny of sorts. How would the little fae deal when there were five babies running around instead of one? Zephyiote chuckled to herself at the mental image. Perhaps they would be lucky enough to get another helper familiar or two?
Her head turned when Seiki came in. She smiled warmly at him, trying to convey all her love and adoration to him with just a simple look. She was tired, and wasn't looking her best, but Seiki had been so amazing, so thoughtfu. so attentivel; she didn't know how she would have gotten through the pregnancy without him. "I am," she laughed quietly, eyes twinkling with merriment. "I was eating for five, you know." she glanced quickly at the eggs before looking back to Seiki. "Love, come here, I need a hug. All the sustenance in the world means nothing if I do not have you to share it with." She didn't even care if she sounded corny. She was so happy, it didn't matter. Such beautiful eggs! They would be such amazingly beautiful children. And she had her beautiful Seiki, and her beautiful Neuta, in her beautiful home in the beautiful jungle. Oh, she was so in love with life, it was almost trecherous. This affair with life should be a crime against Seiki. Except that she still loved Seiki more. Her hero, her knight in armor, her Romeo. Her life.

Neuta giggled as his mother proceeded to pick him up and tickle him. He absolutely loved the attention his mother gave him. Such tenderness and absolute care was given when dealing with him and he enjoyed every minute of it. It made him feel important and special. He most certainly liked that.
Whistling and chittering lightly to his mother small words started to form, simple words but still words that could be understood. "Muuuum, Pwaaaaaay?" The little one gurgled out in his baby babble, nuzzling her face affectionately. There was so much warmth there.
Yuula smiled at Zephyiote before looking towards the nightly avia. He really was a kind male with a large heart, almost made her feel regret for acting the way she had when they first met. She had made up her mind though, she would stay and help the family. Five eggs was many plus little Neuta. They would surely need some help. "Welcome back Seiki."
Seiki smiled at Zephyiote lightly, it was true, she had been, but how he hated to see his love look so tired. Placing his things onto the little wooden table, Seiki moved towards her, being ever so careful not to knock anything over.
"You did a fine job my love." He whispered as he wrapped her and Neuta in a warm embrace, taking care not to harm either. He couldn't be happier now, they had a family, and more on the way. They all loved each other in a way that even gods wish they could love. Nothing, absolutely nothing, could stop them from being happy.
"We will have to start picking out names soon won't we." He whispered towards her, eying the eggs. They all were so very different in coloring and he absolutely loved it. It was like the messenger Iris had kissed each egg to change their coloring. Leaving a bit of her rainbow with them. They surely were blessed.

((I'm thinking this should be a relatively short RP; perhaps we should wrap it up soon and start a new RP with the hatchlings, seeing as they're more important for developing personalities etc...hrm, maybe we should inquire how Sae's egg goes too. On the upside, our babies aren't gonna grow until we ask them to, so we have time to RP them etc.))
Zephyiote nuzzled Neuta back, enjoying the tickling feel of the small pin feathers of his wings. "I will play with you soon, Neuta. And so will your brothers and sisters. But I am very, very tired right now. I think I need a nap," she admitted, feeling sleep pull at her eyes despite her excitement over her brood. Such a beautiful prize. Surely all the agony of their growing in her belly was nothing compared to the joy she had now. She would do it a thousand thousand times over. It was illogical to love eggs, they had no faces, no personalities, there might not be anything in them. But already she loved them, all of her unborn children. No one said love had to make sense. Just looking at her and Seiki was explanation enough of that.
Zephyiote laughed freely at the idea of naming them. Quite an eager boy, their father was. Zephyiote radiated love towards him. "Indeed. I will have to start thinking of names suitable for such lovelies. So many colors too! I didn't know we had it in us to prodce and orange and yellow egg," she chuckled. "They will be quite a pretty bunch though, if their shells are any indication as to what's inside." She couldn't help but glance at them again. Five! Five eggs! That was...amazing. "We are going to need to take a few measures to keep them safe around here. And keep them out of trouble too," she mused aloud, more to herself than anyone else.

(( I shall wrap it up here then. I am also wondering what happened to Sae egg, and I should ask Marie to grow Neuta as well. ))
Neuta watched his mothers tired face, knowing this would be the end of his playtime for now. Looking up at her he yawned, curling up close by her, the heat of her body lulling him into sleep. Why did he always feel the need to rest when his mother was tired? Peeking one chocolate eye open to look at her he watch his father and mother converse before falling into a deep sleep. Life would be interesting soon.
His eyes glittered as his lover laughed. He loved the way her vocals danced and the way it caused small shivers to run down his spine. Smirking at her he gently "They are all as unique as the trees in this forest and the scales on our backs." Looking down at them his lip curled upwards as his chest swelled with pride. "I believe they will hatch in the colors of their egg."
Glancing towards her he nodded in agreement, his light glow illuminating the cavern. Children... Their children. Of course they would have to fix up the place for their safety. "That we will..."
