Remind me WHY am I doing this again? Oh yeah...
Because Banning had no choice but to go through with this. He couldn't stop now, he wouldn't stop now. Ripping out his own heart would be the more realistic and desirable option right now.
That didn't make the rain any less cold and the weather any less uncomfortable as a whole. At least the paperwork was finished now, the shipment was okay, and ready to be relayed to the next semi-informed dealer. Why all of that had to be done in a rusty trailer was beyond the man, but he never complained.
Now he was on his way back, relieved from yet another worry, filled with a dozen more that could spring up any time.
If Mei didn't get her ice cream and cough drops in time, he'd be in for a nice scolding, he knew. Please, lords, gods, fate dryads, please don't let the delivery screw up now.
Sunk into his reminiscing like that, one very soaked and very thoughtful-looking Banning made his soppy way back to Life Essentials.. two hours on foot. Why not.

It was wet and dark out as Alan ran down the wet streets dodging the people on the sidewalk nearly poking his eyes out everytime he had to jump out of the way of a carless man or woman with a large sharp umbrella. He kept on running even thought his lungs felt they were on fire when he saw a man whom looked like he did not belong in this part of town in this type of weather. The very moment he decided to pass the man he tripped on the wet sidewalk and stumbled dirctley into the back of the soaked man.

SMACK!
With the squishy wet contact, Banning was catapulted forwards by the very unexpected shove. Somehow he managed to not get flattened down, instead reeled forward in a rather silly manner, flailing widely to restore his balance -and succeeded.
At least for a moment, because the moment he'd caught himself, he turned around in the motion to see who'd so crassly invaded his personal space, and overbalanced. He ended up crashing down on his noble bum onto the sodden street with a choked-back yelp. .. oww. My... tailbone.
He ended up remaining down for a moment to let the shock wear off, glaring at Alan with a seething golden gaze. Nope, he was NOT in the mood for this.

As Alan attempted to stand he felt the white hot glare of the man sear across his body,He was in trouble he could clearly see and the worst part was that his leg was bleeding profusley. That completly illimenated the running away option as well as the kick him in the face and hope he is stunned option. Umm I... Sorry sir? Was the only sentence that could escape his bleeding lips.

Why, perfect, the ... thing is talking to me.
Bane glanced him up and down with his still indignant glare, though the intensity was lost some along the way. Dear Iris, had he just fallen into a stack of knives and concrete blocks? The noble had quite a bit of trouble believing the other had sustained injuries like that from a mere bump-together.
At the very least it made him feel slightly superior, that always helped his mood. They'd both gone down but he'd proven that at least HE wasn't some clumsy fool who couldn't even shield himself if he tripped into someone else. But no matter. Still staring at Alan with that piercing miffed look, he got up sitffly, only a little sore but otherwise unharmed.
He just stood there and looked down on the other. He had every intention of just leaving him where he was and continuing on his way, but maybe he'd give the poor fool a chance to come up with something interesting.
No mercy, the peep.

This man was starting to piss him off and Alan wasn't one to get mad easily. He noticed the man stare at his bleeding leg and realized that even thought it had started to heal months before from his "incident" with the pool vaccum, it had reopened. Then it dawned on him he had seen this rather cold man before but where? Do I know you ?

"Do you think you know me?"
Why was he even talking to this man? There was absolutely no reason to. Darn his inability to hold his snark back this time, darn it all. He was wet, tired and annoyed. Mostly annoyed.
"Or rather, should I know you?"
Awh heck, if we're being caustic anyway, why not play it straight.

The guy who raised me might have know you sir he was quite wealthy? Althought there was no reason for the man to know Alan mabey he saw him on tv? Damn it he felt like a fool for even speaking to the man and he seemed to be as stubborn as Alan.
