This is for those of us that have kids and are raising them pagan. But some of the stuff in here can help the beginners that may be starting out and need to keep it simple.

Would you like your children to join boy or girl scouts, but don't like the christian feel of it, and you are raising your child/ren pagan?
Try Spiral Scouts! Its pagan related and it also teaches the same outdoor, community service stuff that the boy/girl scouts teach! Check them out!!!

when i was in them i never was able to get all of the prizes for selling cookies that i should've. i'd be lucky to sell to 5 people (mostly family) because in my troop (& my mom was a leader & said that it was happening in just about all the troops in the area at least), my troop leader's daughter was in there...& when it came time for taking orders, she let her daughter take the forms out to people a good month ahead of time. which stole the entire town's worth of sales. every year she got the top prizes & awards for sales. s**t i couldn't even sell enough to get the really sheap s**t.
& there's other stuff too...but i dunno exactly what now

GuardianIceQueen callmebutterfingers Wow.... It never fails to surprise me some of the things people will do... What do you mean? I would expect people to be honest... To follow the same rules they hold for others... I always do... So it surprises me when they don't.

My kids and I are involved in 4-H. I'm a 4-H leader and my kids are in five different clubs. Religion and faith doesn'tseem to matter to them. Although in our own small town populated with Catholics, we stay hidden in the closet. Even the public school is somewhat controled by the catholic parents. It interesting how christians are taught not to judge others and yet they do. It would be nice to one day be able to live in perfect harmony with all faiths.

The pooka pages are very much good for herbalizm stuff. Teaching your kids about "gardening" is a great way to teach them about what the goddess has giving us to cheerish and work with. Now if the "catholics" have a problem with that. Hmmmm we could rough them up a bit. hahah

Are there any sites that are for people interested in paganism? I am 16 and since I was a little kid, I have always been interested in paganism and I agree with its morals and stuff, I do not really follow any religion, my parents raised me without it. We still celebrate Christmas and Easter but I was never told the reasoning of why we celebrate. Before I found out the reason, I thought that Christmas was meant to celebrate winter, and family,. It was meant to be a time to cheer people up. And i thought that Easter represented new life, new beginnings, and the arrival of spring.

There are many good sites, but some you need to weed out the "bad". http://magickalgatherings.ning.com Try going here. This could get your foot in the door.
