Our favorite quiet mare walked through the woods, pensive. She really needed to stop roaming so far from home... she missed her friends dearly. Moreover, she missed Kai, whom she hadn't seen in ages. She wsa starting to wonder if she'd ever see him again. With a shake of her head, she pushed the thoughts from her mind. She could deal with him later.
Right now, she was lost, and she needed to deal with that. The mare looked around and only saw trees. And more trees. And even more trees. Duskai let out a sigh and hung her head.
"Great.... just great... I'm lost..." she said to no one in particular and pawed at the ground. Great... just want she needed. To be lost.

It was a soft summer afternoon; the weather was proving to be much more acceptable now that the spring was starting to fade away and the summer heat was starting to grow its way into the atmosphere; she enjoyed the long stretch of rays caressing her back warming her with its touch. Nothing was more pleasing than being able to enjoy a day of sun, no fears to worry about, no thoughts of how things were going to be or what should happen and no one else to worry about than herself was however the linger thought that this wasn’t her complete choice reminded her that she was much more alone that she wanted to admit however she would never allow her heart to accept it.
However, she wasn’t alone as her tall delicate ears flattened to her skull, her hairs prickling on the back of her neck. Someone else was there, someone… lost? Lowering her head towards the ground she quietly made her way in the direction that the voice had sounded until her blue eyes picked up a rather disturbing color. It was a mare, purple in color and as of the moment looked rather annoyed with the situation she had gotten herself into.
“Hello miss,” Faline replied her voice soft in approach as she remained behind the small shrubbery that hid most of her body.

Duskai looked up, jumping slightly when someone spoke to her. Her grey eyes darted around trying to find the source of the voice. She spotted the other mare after a moment and smiled at her.
"Finally! Someone other than the trees!" she said, trotting closer. Dusk paused, her head tilting to one side. The mare had no mane, and large ears. Cloved feet, but no horn. This puzzled Duskai, as she'd never seen a soquili mare like this before.
"I'm Duskai, by the way. Who are you... what are you, if I may ask? You don't look like other mares I know."

Faline gave a rather pleasant smile to the darken plum colored mare, she couldn't help but let the light chuckle escape from her lips from the mention of only seeing trees for the past while. It was normal or at least in Falines experience to see so few of other soquili's around.
"Hello it is a pleasure to meet you Duskai," she replied as her brillant sky colored eyes took a deeper glance at the mare, she was stained with a lovely darken midnight purple to black color with lovely white markings on her legs and face. Her white mane and tailed appeared as if they radiated from her body in an almost ghostly white manner. Faline rarely met with other soquili mares, than again she had the terrible habit of avoiding most soquilis still in fear of what to even say to such a race.
Giving a light smile with a sweet like giggle Faline gave a shake of her head to the mare, "My name is Faline, and I'm not quite a mare, I'm part of the Cerynei race more like a mix of the deer and the regular soquili race."

Duskai smiled at her. A Cerynei? I've never seen them before. You must be new to these lands then. I must say, it is odd to see a horse without a mane, but your tail makes up for it," she said with a giggle. Duskai trotted over and sniffed.
"You smell like a female, so you're a mare in my book. Granted, I haven't seen many of the other species besides us grounded Soquili, but you definitely are a mare, mix breed or no."
