Do you ever stop and think... "I PLAY TOO MANY INSTRUMENTS!!!!! scream !!!!!"? I do, and it's a real hassle. At my last band concert, I brought with me a bass clarinet and a euphonium. I had to switch instruments twice.. out of three songs. My band director says "go get your instrument" and I have to say "which one?" People, please, stick with one instrument. Be like this ( biggrin ) instead of this ( gonk ).

omigosh, I wish I played more. But I'm a complete nerd, and the more I'm educated about anything at all, the happier I am.

Not for band classes, but I do in general.
I find it annoying, because I do love the bassoon, but I still have the urge to play more. D:

I wish I played more instruments. I tried to learn sax over the summer once and my director wouldn't even let me rent one from the school. I was so angry. I don't even play piccolo, even though the 1st, 2nd, and 4th chair flute players can. (I am the 3rd chair.)
And it's not that nobody in my band DOESN'T double, there are plenty that do!! Not just double reeds... our 1st chair sax also plays clarinet. Said 4th chair flute player can also play sax. It isn't fair. >:C

I play five instruments- oboe flute piano harp and organ. I also sing in a top city choir. Personally I consider singing an instrument, which would technically make it six instruments. I'd love to learn more instruments. If you think you're playing to many, you don't have to drop any, just don't play them all in band/orchestra. I have a second cousin who plays eleven instruments (none of them very well except tenor sax.. and i can outplay her any day). Which then goes to say... don't play a ton of instruments and sound like crap only play enough that keeps you challenged but doesn't lower you're level of playing.
