I logged on today surprised not to see a thread about it yet, but the Greatest Hits CD came out yesterday and I just now got a chance to listen to the new song (I was sick xp )...and...
IT'S AWESOME!!!
I love it. It's Mark. It almost sounds like the type of music he likes to listen to, a little bit different...awesome, though. It still has Tom in it, in the background. It sounds great, though...
I was so happy to hear it after such a long time of being sad that they split, and then hearing there'd be a new (unreleased) song anyways, and now, after finally hearing it...
It's one of my favorite Blink songs. I just had to check twice here cause I was surprised no one posted about it yet...
Have you heard it yet?

I actually had a dream about the song before hearing it (fever dreams, heh), guess I was just excited to listen to it once it was out...some weird DVD with a teenage dating movie except the dude was an alien, he looked normal though. But yeah. It was kinda weird...
Um...
But yeah!!! Awesome song!!! Love it. Almost made me cry hearing it...
And I probably still sound weird, because I still have a fever, but yeah...just opened the CD this morning and I think I've already listened to the song at least a million times (lol).

The song's called "Another Girl Another Planet" and it's kinda short (okay, not that short...a little over two minutes, but most of their songs like are like three of four minutes long so it's a little short compared...well, maybe almost three minutes, I dunno) and the main singer is Mark but you can hear Tom in the background...it sounds awesome, a little different, not quite sure what the word is I'm looking for though. Mark's singing faster/kinda yelling but not really...it's just bold. I guess it was used in Meet The Barkers before? I dunno...I watched the show a lot and don't remember it from that, but they credited it as "from MTV's Meet The Barkers"...
The booklet's cool, kinda sad though...black and shadow-y...has some shadow-like pictures of them. Just gives the feel of like...a funeral... sweatdrop
I don't have the DVD though.
But yeah, the song's awesome...let me know when you've heard it (you probably have now after posting the updates...lol).

Yeah, after posting earlier I realized I had the new song on my iPod this whole time.
Silly me. mrgreen
Yeah, I really like that song too. It almost has a "farewell" feeling to it. I'm not sure why...
Is the cover the same as the one people we're petitioning NOT to have?

Yeah, black and stuff, right? I kinda like it, it's sad but it fits, for their last CD. Kinda like a funeral...
The images are like shadows, just gives the impression of it being over but that they've done a lot and it's kinda powerful.
I like the way the CD looks, though. razz
