Ellandra was going rabbit-hunting. Well, more precisely, she was going rabbit-person hunting. She had taken the paper Misha had left her out of the desk drawer she had so carefully placed it in, and had taken the trip through the city to the shop it described. Although Misha had given her the paper and told her to come by, she highly doubted it would be for the purpose she had decided to make the venture for.
The timid woman didn't seem quite so timid today as she followed the address given to her and entered the strange shop. If Misha was expecting her to be pleased about having been set up on a blind date, the bunny was in for an unpleasant surprise.
'Misha, how could you do something like this? What were you thinking?'
Ellandra, despite what most people believed, did have a temper - it took a lot to rouse it, and as she was generally overlooked entirely, no-one had ever seen her angry. However, being set up on a poor attempt at a blind date with no notice - really, the scheme he'd set up was so cliche, had he been reading trashy romance novels or something? - was more than enough to stir her temper.
Taking a few breaths to calm herself somewhat, Ellandra looked around the inside of the shop, bright gray eyes seeking her prey.

Trashy romance, whatever gave you that idea?
Why yes, that was his preferred lecture, if not the only reading he did. Both Banning and Timka were into the easily digested flicks, only Misha took them a bit too seriously.
Misha and his owner had checked in only a few hours ago, and there were no assignments today. Misha was taking a little extra sleeytime in the Staff room, flopped over the coffee table with his head on his arms. Every day he did think of Ellandra a few times, wondering how she was doing, but right now, all he could think of was how sleeping and daydreaming was a really nice way to spend the time.
Longway herself wasn't slacking off quite so much, and she'd heard the door. Hm? Oh well, usually people took a glance inside, and decided against venturing deeper. Continuing her work, she listened closely, expecting the door to open and fall close again soon.

Elllandra glanced around the place quickly, and saw no-one. That didn't deter her, however - she was a woman on a mission. A mission to tie a certain bunny-person's ears into a knot. She took a few tentative steps inside, half-expecting Misha (or perhaps someone more frightening, say another worker) to jump out at her.
"M-misha?" she called out, hoping desperately that this would attract only her target and not someone who would scare her away from her purpose. "Misha? Are you here?"
She tugged her hat down a little and shifted her weight from foot to foot. No leaving yet, no matter how intimidating this place was. Misha had set her up - and rather badly at that. He needed to explain himself.
She wasn't planning on leaving until he had!

When the anticipated 'door open door close'-leave didn't occur, Longway looked up again from her paperwork.
Wait, had she heard that right, that young female voice asking for... Misha?
"Hello?" Too intrigued she was already to wait until she'd left her desk place before calling out.

Ellandra squeaked and nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard the unexpected voice of a woman calling to her - but stilled her flight instinct. After all, Misha couldn't be the only worker at this place, after all. No matter how very odd it seemed - and this appeared to be one very odd shop indeed. But then, Misha was odd, so a normal workplace wasn't to be expected, anyway. She bit her lip and called out a response to the unknown person.
"H-hello? I'm . .. I'm looking for - for Misha .. . he told me to come here s-sometime. . . is - is he in?"
For once she was thankful for her timidity - her fright of this new person was keeping the anger she felt at Misha out of her voice. She'd probably be thrown out if the shop's owners knew she was here to berate one of the employees!
. . . Wait, what if Misha wasn't here? Then what would she do? Oh dear...
Nothing for it now, anyway; she'd have to - have to worry about that in a few minutes, if he wasn't. She'd work out what to do in that situation when she needed to, not before.

"Oh, hi there." Longway had made it to the hallway now, confusedly glanced the visitor up and down.
"You're looking for Misha...?" She still couldn't quite believe it. "But why..." For as far as she was aware, her Essentic had never freely given out his name, certainly not to people who would seek him out. Sheesh, he had better things to to than to arrange playdates.
And then it clicked. Yes, just a short while ago. Late assignment, rainstorm, worry, scolding, relief, all that. Yeeees.
"You must be Ellandra." Timka looked at her in a new light now. "He's in the Staff room." She had no idea what the young Alter had struggled so hard for to squeeze in between his runs, to do his research, make the letters, deliver them in time. For all she knew the girl was just here to see him. From Misha's description, she'd dismissed the idea earlier. No way someone that shy would bother coming all the way downtown, tsh.
Now she was curious how this would play out.

This must be - one of Misha's bosses? Ellandra wasn't sure, but she smiled politely to the other woman and ducked her head, her face flaring up.
"Th-thank you, ma'am," she said with a shaky voice, looking around a bit. She bit her lip a little. "U-um... if I may ask......... w-where is the staff room?"
Never mind if the entrance was in plain sight or something like that, she'd still ask. It was the polite thing to do - besides, she couldn't just go barging in an area like that, after all. Barging in was a no-no, regardless of her anger at the moment - besides, it would look terrible were she to just storm in and start yelling at the bunny-person.
It just wasn't proper.

Blink. "... right there honey." Longway awkwardly lifted a hand and pointed past her. She'd missed that? Capital red letters on a black lacquered door, right in the entrance hallway.
While she was curious, for some reason she felt taking a step back and letting this young miss deal with her rampant Alter might be a nice experiment. After all, from what Misha told her she had warmed up quite a bit to him. How sentimental.
Misha had still been napping, but at the sounds that reached his sensitive ears, he'd begun to awaken slowly. By now, he was dozily staring ahead, sluggishly listening, but hardly registering the words or voices. He wasn't alarmed at all.

Ellandra nodded, blushing furiously, and took a few steps in the direction of the staff room. She paused a moment to look back at the woman - who she hadn't introduced herself to, ack - wanting to make certain it was all right for her to go in.
After she was fairly certain it was acceptable, she edged open the door and squeezed through the entrance, her eyes landing on the dozy-eyed, bunny-eared form of Misha. While normally his appearance might have brought a blush-covered smile to her face, it didn't. Instead, she frowned.
"Hello, Misha," she said quietly, her bright gray eyes as hard as diamonds, despite the levelness in her voice.
Time to see what the bunny had to say for himself.

Longway quietly showed her it was alright, then stepped back to not quite so blatantly eavesdrop.
At her call, Misha fully awoke with a startled little gasp. His gaze flitted around for a moment until his eyes fixed on her, dazed, confused. That lasted only for a second though.
"Ella!" Hey! How are you? I'm so happy to see yo- ... wait,... what.. Looking closer at her, he felt that something wasn't right. His ears, raised a notch from his initial surpise, flopped down again.
"... Ellandra?" Now he sounded worried. Was there something wrong? Had things gone alright or... Oh dear, that Elias hadn't hurt her had he? D8

"You set me up," Ellandra said quietly, still in that soft, even tone of voice. "You set me up on a blind date courtesy of a scheme straight out of a trashy romance novel." Calm voice, calm face - hard eyes. All extremely unlike Ellandra, all evidence of just how displeased she really was.
She stared at the bunny-person for nearly a full minute, before she bit her lip and curled her hands into loose fists - not a gesture of violence, she wasn't planning on hitting him, just evidence of how upset she really was. Her eyes watered a little.
"W-why, Misha? How could you do something like that? I - I just -" She turned away, scrubbing at her suddenly damp eyes with those curled-fist hands.
"You - you pr-probably m-meant well but - but that - that ... . Miiishaaaa!"
She wasn't crying, no, she was angry, upset, all-but-furious, she was just one of those people who melted down when angry and spilled tears rather than blood.

... what...
But, butbut, no, why...
What had upset her so, on one hand she appeared to have found out what he'd done and told him she believed he didn't mean anything bad with it, but why was that a bad thing, then? Misha truly didn't understand, and her sadness and anger upset him in return.
There it was again, that gut-churning nausea rising from a place deep within.
"Ella..." No, he couldn't handle this now, he wrecked his mind trying to find a clue on what to think now, what to do, but all he found was one big black hole of non-understanding. He felt so helpless, when all he wanted was to help her.
"What.. I... he didn't hurt you did he, mister Carmine?" he stood up, nearly tripped over his chair and approached her, almost in tears himself.

Misha . . . . . . . really didn't understand, did he? Ellandra's anger melted away like an ice cube on a hot summer's day, and her eyes softened.
"No, Misha, he didn't hurt me," she said quietly, wiping the tears from her eyes and grabbing his hands after a moment. "B-but it's not a good idea to try and set up something like that... The -the only thing that happened was that we were both uncomfortable." She was careful to keep her nervous stutter out of her voice as much as she could; Misha needed to understand and her stutter would only inhibit her from helping him to.
"B-but it could have been worse, Misha, it - it could have been something very, very dangerous. Things like - like what you tried, well, they only work in books - and what kind of books have you been reading to get that sort of idea into your head anyway, hm?" Really... why had she been angry again? Gyah, sad-confused bunny-people were impossible to be angry with!
She bit her lip, and as the last lingering bit of annoyance trickled away, her usual timid manner returned, causing her to bite her lip and drop her head.
"I mean . . . M-misha . . . .that's just something you - you don't d-do to people. . . un-unless it's a p-prank. . ."
Now her face was bright red again.

Oh?
.... oh.
Well... that somehow made a little sense. P-prank? No way! He'd never prank Ella! At least he sort of began to understand that his little plan wasn't something people do, and that it was one of those things that 'only worked in books'. At her question what he read, he absently pointed to a small stack of easy flicks and short novels and magazines at the side of the table and on the cupboard.
With a look of better understanding on his face, but still sad, even more now that he knew this hadn't been a good idea at all, he nodded. "I.. I'd never do anthing to hurt you.. and I'd never prank you." he let his ears hang ashamedly, looked up at her abashedly, with those bunny-puppy-eyes of his.
"... unless it was a really really funny prank of course." .w.
