North Bottom The northern side of the River bank is moist and flat, but gets somewhat more sun than the southern bank. There are lots of rocky outcrops into the river that are good spots to hike and play, so the trail runs right along the side of the river for a good stretch. Be careful, though; this bank has an extremely steep slope in some places. Watch your step so you don't slip and fall! Song and Taneko crossed the bridge over the wide river, talking amongst themselves.

lulu and Bine had entered North Bottom just a bit before the new comers. Bine was sporting her new out fit, a white camasol that was not buttoned with a deep red/purple under shirt. She was also had on a nice pair of cargo pants. The pair were looking at the cretures that swam in the stream. Bine perched safely on lulu's shoulder.

Song spotted Lulu and waved. Her muddy clothes flopped messily as she did so.
"Hey, Lulu! Did you finish that outfit you were making for Columbine?"

lulu slowly stood so that Bine would not fall and then smiled at Songer before starting to laugh "what happen to you?" she let a few more giggles before getting back to the point "yes i did"
Bine wavied at the woman "arnt i prity?" she showed off the out fit.

Song grinned at the little sprite. "Yes Bine, you are just adorable." She winked dramatically.
Setting her hands on her hips, Song eyed Lulu's clean attire.
"Oh, I suppose you think it's funny, huh? For your information, this is Taneko. She's the searcher who found Kitten, and I had to go help her. We got into a bit of a scrape down in South Bottom...it's somewhat muddy."

Taneko couldn't help but snort when she heard Song's comment about the south bottom being "somewhat muddy". Both of them where smeared in mud. When she was done trying to contain her laughter she finally spoke up. "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm Taneko. How rude of me." she pointed to Pink who was still situated on her shoulder "This is Pink, but I suppose you already had guessed that" she smiled at the tiny sprite on Lulu's shoulder. "And you are... Bine? I couldn't help but overhear you conversation, and you DO look very nice, if I may say so" She then smiled at Lulu again."I'm really glad to meet some of the other parents here so soon. I'm always afraid of meeting new people, and their reaction to me"

lulu gave her warm welcome smile and held a hand out to Taneko "i am also staff here, but i guess that song did not tell you that." she winked at her friend "yes, it is wonderful to meet others, even if it is a bit frightening." she nodded "i am here to spread the wolrd about the good that we do" she sweat dropped "i am afraid that i havnt been doing much of that resently though because my family is a mess" she giggled lightly "but anyway" she looked to bine who was listening intently, but then blushed just slightly.
"hi Pink" she nodded at she recoverd a little and then stood and showed off her outfit "do you like it?"

"Oh yes, silly me," Song chided herself, "Lulu is the public relations manager. I'm afraid we're a bit shorthanded around here now that it's just us...but I do hope Kitten will be alright."
Song fidgeted with a rock on the trail. "By the way Lulu, you might want to stay away from the South Arbor Greenhouse for a bit...Taneko says there's a nasty-looking spider up there. I think it may be responsible for what happened to Kitten. Oh, and she's at the hospital now."

Taneko nodded. "Oh yes, stay far FAR away from that area... I had a REALLY nasty run-in with that... thing" she shuddered slightly before she continued in a lighter tone "Ah, well, we all have our family problems, now, don't we?" her smiling face changed to one of interest "But you're the one who has to do with the public...? It sounds interesting. What do you do?" Taneko was genuinly interested, being so young, with no idea as what to do with her future, made her absorb as much knowledge about new job possibilities as she could.

Pink, who was still sitting on Taneko's shoulder, had her attention turned on the conversation, and when Bine had said something, she had been quite surprised. She looked at Bine, and saw that she was wearing nice clothes. Why was she wearing clothes when Pink wasn't? She smiled at Bine, but when Taneko looked, she swore that she saw just a liiitle dash of envy in that smile "Yes, it's really pretty! It looks good on you too!"

Lulu shivered "i HATE spiders!" which made Bine have to grab onto lulu's hair "oh! im sorry Bine" she patted the slightly perved girl on the head "but thank you, i will not be going in that direction then, not even near it."
Bine nodded "yeah!" then smiled at Pink "thank you, i am sure that Lulu could sew you an out fit if you want her to, our maybe Taneko can help you." she smiled a bit sheepishly.
Lulu nodded "it will take some time tho" then looked at Taneko "umm, well i organize events that can bring more attetion to what we do here. I dont want to gibe to many of my secrets awy tho" she winked.

"Yes, she's very good at it. I'm so busy with the internal affairs of the arboretum that I don't have time to do that, too. Lulu's the whole reason we were able to get our first few parents in to adopt plants. But I'll tell you more about that program when we get to my office."
Song was absent-mindedly picking at the flakes of mud on her labcoat, flaking them off one by one.
"Well then, Lulu, I need to give Taneko her journal and file and explain a little bit to her. I'm sure she'll be around if you two want to work something out...?"

Taneko laughed a bit "ah yes, a magician never gives away his secret, no?" she turned her head slightly to look at her very own pink sprite and said "If you're really nice, I just might make you some really nice clothes too" she winked at Lulu and then turned to Song "Yes, we really should be going now, shouldn't we? I really can't wait to find out more, and start my very own journal" here Pink coughed slightly "ha ha, I mean, of course, OUR very own journal" Pink still made a slight scoffing noice "okay, okay, Pink's journal that I'll be allowed to write in, happy now?" the sprite's face broke into a huge grin "very!" Taneko just laughed slightly and turned back to Song "You lead the way?"
