My friend and I have known each other for about four years. But we have only really been friends for about three of those four years. For a long time, the two of us were virtually unseparable. We were always with each other and wouldn't mind making ourselves look like idiots, as long as we were together. The two of us were closer than brothers. Recently, however, his life has started going a bit downhill, and he would always come to me for help whenever he needed it. And I would gladly give it to him. After all, he doesn't really have anyone else to go to. Even more recently, however, he's been hanging around some other kids. This wouldn't usually bother me. However, he's been becoming a bit...cruel, it seems. I suffer from OCD, and he will do whatever he can to use that to hurt me. On top of that, he's been hurting me physically, as well. He's bigger and stronger than I am, so this is really easy for him. I've been trying to talk to him -- about this, and about other problems I've been having -- but he never seems to listen. So, I guess my question is, what am I supposed to do? I guess it seems obvious that he's not a real good friend, but I can't just stop being friends with him. It's not in my nature.

hmm. this happened to my friend too. ill tell yu what she did. [[i was her back up]]
she make her best friend dinner and told her that they needed to talk. she sat down a told her best friend the whole story and how it makes her feel. she stood her ground too. her quote that she used is.
"i dont want you to even talk to me if you treat me like im stupid,iv known you for the longest time and you arnt like this. treat me with respect or dont be my friend,i dont want to be hit when you see me nor do i feel safe standing beside you."
ahem. so thats what she said and her best friend talked to her like the old days they use to have.

I've tried talking to him. He ignored me and stopped talking to me for a few days. I tried twice since to bring it up and he always ignores me.

If he ignores you when you try to talk then why not try his parents? They might know what's going on.

If he ignores you and acts like that... Just leave him and find someone better. It may not be in your nature, but try not to be a pushover. Don't let people like him get his way.
