The very first time that I discovered who Kai Hiwatari was, was on October 16th of the year 2003.

In the dream world, it was Thanksgiving day and my parents were doing their annual thanksgiving meal for my father's side of the family on exception of maybe my Auntie Leslie who was on my mother's side.

Vegeta was there along with Trunks and Goten. William was there too. I had just gotten my first beyblade set to show off, and so, setting down the beydish and then declaring a family tournament, the fun began.

It was Trunks against William in the final round, when Will had been rudely interrupted by his cell phone. Having to take the call, Trunks was declared the winner by default.

Needless to say that Trunks was dissapointed in the cheesy victory.

My Auntie Bobbie came up to me next, since I was merely watching the battles, and informed me that it was dinner time. She had also informed me of a professional Beyblade tournament happenin' at the Agricom on the following Saturday. And it was by invitation only that one could compete in it.

Then, Auntie Bobbie presented me with the invitation. On the return adress section was the BBA (beyblade association) logo. Then on the back, where the seal was, was a picture of a pheonix, a fire pheonix, that is to say Dranzer!

This was an invite from Kai Hiwatari himself!

If you thought that was a shock to the system, when I got to the Agricom to compete, pacing back and forth near the train station, Kai showed up and he romantically asked me to be his VIP!

I was really stunned then. Happily surprised to say the least. Kai's reputation by far and wide was that he was not known to be a socialite. Far from it, in fact. Normally, people referred to Kai as a cold hearted, selfish son of a b***h. So, getting the invitation from Kai and then to be romantically swept off my feet by him was astonishing!

So, now being taken to the stadium where the tournament was being held, Kai had linked his arm with my own. A blush was on my face. My heart was a pounding. I loved the way Kai was acting. How could a man with such a negative reputation be so kind and warm? It didn't make any sense to me.

We had conversed companionably, Kai and I did, and then, the match began. It was Kai against me in the first round. I suppose the judge would have thought that would drive the crowd wild if Kai's new best friend and possibly his first ever girlfriend was pitted against one another in a beyblade match. A test for Kai's heart. I give Kai the battle he's been craving and he's mine forever. If I failed, then no huge deal. But, I was certain that Kai was going to go all out and so I had to as well.

Sure enough, I did beat him the very first round, but the victory was totally lame. Daichi, a loudmouth annoying little twerp had distracted Kai enough to get Dranzer flying out of the dish. Kai was expecting that one of our blades would be destroyed, instead of a ringout. I could see it in his eyes, which excited me for some reason. I wanted to test my blade's strength too. A grasshopper type against a pheonix.

That too would have been interesting. I was clearly at a disadvantage. Both in the beast's symbolism and my actual skill. Needless to say everyone, including Kai was astounded by my first round win. I, on the other hand was fuming at how lame that victory was. I marched right on over to Daichi and gave him some harsh words. A lesson on how to be sporting in a beymatch when Kai is involved.

I inadvertantly revealed to Kai just how much I knew about him when it came to his style of playing in this sport of skill. This had impressed Kai. It had impressed him enough to make him horny for me. I was, unawaringly, melting that cold icy heart that everyone knew Kai had.

During a 45 minute intermission, Kai invited me to go for a walk with him in the dark and in the pouring rain. Thunder, lightning, and of course the wet water from the skies gushed down on us.

We were crossing a bus terminal to get to a more private location, when Kai warned me of something that I was going to crash into. It was the perfect distraction for him to mount me like a saibamen doing self destruction.

It was then that I knew what Kai had wanted. I was honored to say the least. In any normal circumstance, however, this would look very bad. Sleazy to say the least. The thing was, Kai and I felt the same way about each other. We wanted it, and we wanted to show each other how we felt.

By the time Kai was done his on-the-spot mating ritual, and had fallen asleep on my shoulders, it was time for round 2. This made me feel a teensy bit awkward for, though I knew that it was the best out of 3 the match, I now had a very important decision to make. It was one of those tests where if I got it wrong then my whole social career gets flushed down the toilet so to speak.

My options for this exam were do I ruin Kai's reputation, exposing to everyone that his heart had changed and that he's finally found someone that he could truly care about, or do I destroy his career by forfieting the match? I decided to ruin the reputation. After all, reputations can change. Careers can be difficult to find no matter how talented one may be.

Onward to the stadium I marched, hoping that Kai would forgive me later, and when everyone saw Kai asleep on my shoulders, still clamped like a Saibaman, the crowd grew very silent.

It was the utter silence that had woken Kai. He knew now that there was no denying it. He had fallen in love and there was no going back.

Terry, Andy, and I have taken a trip over to Bey City to visit with Kai when all of a sudden these young kids surrounded us three and commanded a bey-battle with us. Terry and Andy stepped back as they don't own beyblades. I shrugged and replied, "All right, little ones, I will satisfy you, but only until Kai joins us, okay?"

The kids all gasped and asked, "You know Kai?! You mean The Kai?"

Giggling, I reply, "Uh yeah. Ready children? 3, 2, 1, let it rip!"

I used my favorite Green Ree, the one that won against Kai and apparently his heart as well. Memories that will last a lifetime, thanks to Green Ree. The kids all fought bravely, though I won. I didn't reveal my bit beast to them during the battle, but when Kai showed up, he laughed, "So I see you still like entertaining the little ones. Oh, so you brought your husband and his Saiyan of a brother."

Nodding, I said, "Yeah, Terry insisted, and Andy...well...I dunno why he joined us, but whatever. Not complaining."

Kai then asked, "So how about it? A beybattle just like old times. Let's show these kids our real power?"

Sighing I said, "Okay. 3, 2, 1, let it rip!"

The battle with Kai was intense! It was obvious that he had been training recently. In the end, I won though. Kai smirked the second his Dranzer landed in his hand. He said, "Well, you have improved, Dee. Just what I would expect from my wife. Sorry, Terry, but here, in this land, Dee's mine."

Terry shrugged, "So? Its not like I don't know you, Kai. Your the father to Ochru, the best farmer in Mineral town."

Kai invited us in to the Abbey where he lived, then asked, "So, how has Ochru been doing lately?"

In reply, I answered, "Never better. He and Poupori have really gone far when it comes to Mineral town ranching. Together they run the chicken ranch, which allowed Rick, who is Poupori's older brother to take over the cattle ranch in Mineral town also. The 4 of them come to Forget me Not valley quite a bit. And by the 4 of them, I also mean their son Keitaro Hiwatari."

Kai sipped his tea and nodded, "I see, so young Keitaro is doing well also. That's good news. Last I heard, he was living in Blue Bell as the Innkeeper. And you, Empress were working your tail off to stop a dreadful curse that has inflicted that land."

Terry looked at me wondering how Kai found out. Kai set his tea cup down, "Oh Terry, please, don't you think I would be hearing loads of news from that little Island. In fact, it was your son Link that told me everything so far from Blue Bell. So, I knew about Keitaro. Sad how he had turned to stone though. Look, Dee, I know that sounded bad, but what am I to do about it? This curse should be something that Yagami should be able to find or better yet, you yourself should know the answer."

Standing, Andy blurted, "But they DO know the answer!!!! They came HERE asking for YOUR help. In order to break the curse, they need activity like never before. One by one the villagers turn. I for one know what its like to be stone because, in truth, without a particular stone, I wouldn't be here! Yeah, that's right. I am an undead warrior with no heart beat! A sacred bloodstone is what allows me to be here."

Giggling, I then said, "Calm yourself, Andy. I am sure that Kai knew that I was here for that. Now, Kai, all I am asking is for you to send someone who can help me break that curse."

Kai picked up his tea cup once more, sipped from it, then replied, "I will see what I can do. You shall know what I have done in regards to your request soon."

I stood and hugged Kai, "Thanks, I do appreciate this. Keep up the good work. Maybe we can have another match soon."

"That'd be nice, Dee. You take care."

At that we left, and thus ended the adventure.

Wow! So you still dream about Kai even though you hardly ever talk about beyblade let alone play it?

I wonder...if they ever made a season starring the originals again, that you just might be a character in it. It'd be neat to see Kai falling in love despite his cold, heartless attitude and how the other beybladers would feel about that or rather react. It would also give some sort of history into how the Soviet Union/Russia/USSR conducts their "marriage rituals" as opposed to say Japan, China, or America.

In fact, the series should be about how after many, many years of retirement from the sport, they return to it to choose their ladies once and for all. But...as some nations may have their own traditions, perhaps a simple tournament might not be enough to prove that the classic bladers that we all have grown to love as fans have what it takes to marry said individuals and the ladies may have some proving of their own to do to change the laws using only their beyblading skills to do it.

Ochru Hiwatari and his friend had to get their eyes checked at the eye doctor and Ochru's friend needed surgery. After the surgery, I noticed some other guy who needed a different type of doctor so I offered to take him to see Ken masters, but the evil Jonathan Bogard stalled me long enough so that the boy I offered to take to see Ken did not make it.

Kai and I could not keep our hands off of each other so to speak. But something deep inside was scaring Kai about me and he was trying to tell me about it, but was unable to describe exactly what it was. Like he feels that whenever he's around me he cannot get over a sexual urge and yet, he doesn't want to treat me like a whore and this scares him. He's not like Ken Masters who can please himself whenever and even though he will admit to needing more farmhands, he doesn't want so many children to act like his slaves.

I dreamed I was Kai for a time and this man was really rude when at a wedding reception. Everyone else there was nice, but not him. However, I think they understood why he is so rude so they ignored that fact. Later he and I went to Wal-Mart to get some photos processed with my family meaning my sister and dad. We took pully wagons, which was absolutely hilarious. We were going to travel via truck, but I guess that didn't happen.

Needless to say it was an interesting night.
