Tibarn leaned back in his chair, up on the back legs with his boots on the nice, expensive mahogany long table in the main hall of Eyris castle. Ranged all about this end of the castle was a group of powerful darkened warriors: Nils, Abel, Rei, Daniel Leek, Chickenwire, and of course, Asami herself.

Tibarn himself was edgy, tapping the heel of his boot on the heavy wood and leaving black scuff marks on the shiny surface. "Well?" he finally asked, looking up at Asami with eyes narrowed. "You called us in here. I got better things to do, I'm sure, than sit around a table waiting for you to tell us... whatever." Since turning, Tibarn hadn't been able to sit still. He felt like someone had shoved a bolt of lightning down his throat. He had to move, he had to do something. Any time he was sitting still, boiling anger went to waste.

"We need to strike those who are with Melethia while they least expect it." She stated. "The less people Melethia has on her side the worse it is for her. She can't take us all on by herself."

The boy had been sitting there, laid back in his chair, for some time. He had been looking for the lizard woman whom he had first met, and was very pleased when he heard her call out to him and told him to come to the castle. When he heard Asami speak, he grinned. "So...." he muttered "we just need to draw as many people away from this gal as possible and fight them, eh? Sounds fun!"

Rei shook his head, coming off of the back wall, towards the table. "What is that second-rate sage going to do to you, lizard?" Rei pulled a tendril from the top of the table, making it throw an apple into his hand. "Easier said than done, scaly b***h." Rei glared at Asami as he took a bite of the apple. Quickly chewing it, he kept going, a cynic's tone in his voice. "I almost killed you without even trying. What makes you think that you could handle even one other person alongside the fiery wench?"

A worm slithered out of the other side of the apple, crawling between Rei's fingers. "Ugh." He threw the apple at the nearby wastebasket, making sure the worm went with it. "You only beat us because you got a few lucky hits, if you ask me. Though how you got the King of Pigeons there, I'd love to know."

His mind wandered back to the confrontation with Renault in the woods, and how he was sorely outmatched. "You've not gone one-on-one with the best in Learania. I mean, there's at least three Bishops, two Sages, a Swordmaster or two and Elimine knows what else!" Rei laughed, propping himself back up against a wall.

"How would you expect us to take them all on? We're only seven people, two from the castle guard." A cruel glare came across Rei's eyes as he spared Nils a passing glance. "And we can't forget that one of ours is practically a pacifist, either."

"Yeah." Asami said scarsaticly, "You hardly did a thing." Her tone then got serious. "I almost cut you to ribbons shrimp!" She kept her eyes locked with Rei's. "It's also none of your business how I got Hawk Man! As for how we do this, we need to kill the bishops, Melethia, and the ugly man who rides a lizard. They are the most threatening to us."

Rei scoffed, an annoyed tone in his voice. "Yeah, sure, you 'almost cut me to ribbons.' Slimy little gecko, you got one glancing blow on me." Rei pulled up his sleeve, showing the slightly distorted scab on his arm. "And I could have easily choked the life out of you without a second thought, unless your reptilian mind forgot."

Rei looked at the others, disappointment in his eyes. A jittery hawk, an overzealous mercenary, a mutant dragon laguz, a few grisly knights, and a little boy acting out to get attention. "...how do you propose we do that. Ms Ringleader? Bishops are a huge problem for me, especially the elder one." Rei thought about bringing up Renault's little 'transformation,' but decided against it. Maybe the fools will die in an attack against him. "The other lizard b***h is fire-happy with anger issues. I might be able to take her, if everyone else is kept away."

Rei looked up at the hanging chandelier, it's glass reflecting onto the walls. "Ugly man on a lizard? Is that Siegell?" Rei looked around, seeing who would be able to handle him without dying too terribly. "Pigeon King, can you take the glaive-happy fool?"

The King of Hawks blinked. "... The hell does Mel have to do with this? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for a fight, but..." He paused. Oh, right. He was all for a fight. "Know what, I don't even care, jus--"

His sharp, golden eye turned to focus on Rei at the term "King of Pigeons", and he pulled his feet down as he sat up sharply and then stood, hands flat on the wood surface. "Oh, you little b***h. You looking to fight right now? She got lucky." He leaned down and hissed, "Just because you're too weak and slow to take on an old bishop doesn't make them dangerous." He paused for effect, then added with a smirk, "Suppose I'll just have to pick up your slack."

After Asami made her point, Tibarn scratched his stubbly chin. "Nobody'll dare try and share the sky with me... And if they do, they'll die." It was a statement of fact. "If Rei here is too much of a little b***h to kill the bishops," he added, "I'll take care of them, too. And Melethia."

"Because I AM Melethia's Darkness!" She yelled, "And if I know my other half well, she would be pleased for the fight Hawk King." Asami gave a smirk that she knew that she wouldn't have to take care of her biggest threat.

Abel tried to tune Rei out, but his ears could not escape the annoyance. He growled a little to himself, constantly trying to hold back his frustrations of hearing such whining about actually having to fight! Then Tibarn spoke up. Finally, a voice a reason! This guy knew were the fun was at! Abel had been thinking of challenging Tibarn, but now he liked him. There's no way he could test himself against him now.

"Ha! Don't count me out! I'll take out their strongest! ...'course, if I have to take out a whole bunch of other weaklings to get to the real prizes... I'm perfectly fine with that too!" He gave a smug grin.

Nils remained silent throughout the "discussion". He didn't even try to defend himself when Rei called him a pacifist; he had hesitated way too much when fighting Renault, which nearly cost him. There was nothing he could say to justify that. He overestimated his own abilities and underestimated Renault's. A simple (and rather cocky) miscalculation.

"I'll be better..." He muttered, his fist closing around the dragon stone. Next time, he swore, he'd use it, regardless of his opponent. No stupid "oh I can beat them without it" crap; the others thought he was weak, and it was up to him to prove them wrong.

"Anyway!" Asami contuned, "Whatever is her plan is she would want very little people as possible. Though knowing those who care enough they will follow despite whatever she said. She doesn't want people to get hurt. It would leave her with a burden once again." She paused for a bit. She really wanted to figure out what her other half was thinking of.

"If she wants a good fight with Tibarn," She stated, "She would try for a place where the others wouldn't interfere with her battle."

Rei groaned, looking at Asami with contempt. "Who cares what she wants?" Rei looked off into the distance before pulling out the Heal Staff. "If you're her 'dark side' then..." Rei gently tossed the staff in his hand, getting a feel for it again. "...why fight on her terms?"

Rei slammed the staff's head against the table, a tinny thump from the staff echoing through the room. "Take the fight to her, when she least expects it! Wipe 'em out in one shot!" Rei pulled the tip of the staff up to him, looking at the gem shimmer in the chandelier's light. "Whatever 'guard' they may have when we attack, we can fell in a surprise attack. And while everyone's preparing, we rush them, killing them off one by one!" A smile made its way onto the corrupted boy's face, a satisfied look in his eyes. "And why don't we attack at night? They probably won't expect that, either."

Rei's eyes lit up, though, as he turned to look Asami straight in the eyes. "Wait just a second..." Rei's eyes widened in realization, the Erebus tome sliding out from his jacket, quickly into his hands. "You!" Tendrils shot from the walls, making small, dark ripples across the ornate decorations. "YOU are the b***h who almost got me killed at Halloween, aren't you? The 'dark side' that told that piece of refuse Madriana that I organized that key search!" Dark mist began seeping from the boy, dissipating an inch or so from the body. "Why shouldn't I kill you now, you slimy piece of s**t?"

"So what if I am?" She asked. "The past is the past. Besides, who knows what will happen to you if I die and my blood is still in your system." Asami had to get Rei off her case for now. Plus she really didn't know what would happen to those she corrupted if she died. Her eyes were in a dead lock with Rei's.

"So you admit it!" A fist slammed into the table as the tendrils began to sway, the rippling on the walls becoming faster and faster, almost like the room was alive, its heart beating into the ears of the occupants. A slight smirk got on the Druid's face, though, as he hatched an idea. "Y'know, if it wasn't for me, you snaky wench, then you'd probably never have even made it this far."

Rei brought his hand back to in front of his face, giving it a small shake. "Those keys woulda gone unnoticed, and your status as 'dark side' would go under the radar, if you even would have surfaced at all, meaning that you'd not have the power to do anything, let alone split from your fire-spewing host." Rei took the hand, reaching it up towards the ceiling. "Without the past, you'd be nothing but a shadow on the wall behind a gloomy old crow."

Rei looked around again at the group in the room, still unimpressed. He'd known many of these beforehand, and the only one worth a worry was Tibarn. As Rei glared back at Asami, the tendrils began to creep farther from the walls, almost touching the ones on the other side. "Again, you're underestimating them, mutant. I've fought alongside and against many of the foes we plan to face. They're smart enough to come up with something." Rei laughed, sending a cold glare to the woman. "If they can figure out how to preserve a morph who's master has perished, I'm sure that they can come up with something when you die, you dirty little parasite.

Nils stepped forward, away from the walls and the magic . He rolled his eyes as the druid began to speak yet again. Rei's yelling and shouting and his voice in general was starting to get rather annoying and irritating...

Doesn't he ever get tired of hearing the sound of his voice? "Yeah yeah yeah, blah blah blah." Nils said in a bored manner, waving his hand around absentmindedly. "We get the point, Rei; you are pissed. Now, can we please move on and actually plan something? The longer we spend just sitting around firing insults and chatting idly, the more time we are wasting talking about idiotic things that certainly could wait until later. If you honestly think the conversation is important, then by all means continue it on your own time!" He glanced at the others in the room before continuing, crossing his arms across his chest. "I'm sure I'm not the only one who's tired of just waiting for the planning to actually begin."
