Hey everyone,
I was wondering what is your typical payment policy for at con commissions? Do you require payment in full prior to working, or do you allow payment after? Or perhaps a small deposit?

My usual policy is, "I prefer payment up-front." If they really want, I'll take unpaid ones, but they tend to get kicked to the bottom of the pile if I get a bunch to work on, as they're unguaranteed money.

I ask for the money as soon as I take the commission, cause there's no guarantee they'll come back otherwise. Also, I make sure I don't have to deal with, "Well, I know they cost six dollars, but I only have five left," crap.
