Omaha has a rich cultural and historical legacy. Cultural highlights include the Joslyn Art Museum, the Durham Western Heritage Museum, the Holland Performing Arts Center, and the Omaha Community Playhouse. It was home to the 1898 Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition, and was the location of the winter quarters for settlers on the Mormon Trail. It has also been the location of important events in the Civil Rights Movement. Although crime in Omaha prior to the war was comparable to other U.S. cities of similar size, racial tension and the scourge of methamphetamines were big social issues. Now, most crime goes undetected, as law enforcement, military, and the metahuman heroes are too busy trying to drive back Positron's forces as they try to advance. Omaha sits on the border, and Strategist's forces managed to drive back the majority of Positron's, but pockets of resistance still remain. Despite this, the only true threat to the freedom of those inhabitants is actually the Matter Hatter, a powerful reality-bending villain not affiliated with the League of Conquerors. He does things in his own way for his own nonsensical reasons, and he makes his home here, unbeknownst to anyone.

The trio of superbeings appeared on the outskirts of Omaha, Nebraska. The moment they had rematerialized Archive began floating once more. One would think that the way he relied strictly on telekinesis that his limbs should have begun to atrophy. Not that that is really relevant at the moment. Closing his eyes the telepath took a breath before messaging the other two. Well then. Let us begin our patrol. Keep a wary eye out for any of Positron's minions.
With that the powerful psychic flew into the city propelled by the power of his own mind. As he flew over the streets he not only searched the place visually but also psychically. He jumped from mind to mind like a leaf in the wind. Touching each mind gently getting just mainly just surface thoughts and intentions.

Understood. Without another word, Nova channeled her body's energy, propelling herself into the air and taking off. The wind beat against her cape as she scanned below for any signs of high concentrations of energy. While sometimes something that looked dangerous to her would simply turn out to be some mundane thing, most of the time any huge concentration of energy was either a super-powered being or some very dangerous technology. One advantage of her unique vision was that it was not hampered by walls or other things that normally block line of sight, meaning that she didn't need to enter every building in order to do a thorough check.

Yes sir. He answered back in his mind. He finally realized that maybe the other times Archive was speaking to him, was through his mind. But that wasn't important. The primary thing was to keep this city safe from criminals and Positron's forces. First, Unknown stood there as everyone else left. He was trying to concentrate on a technique he was trying to perfect. His limit of teleportation was an annoying one. The only reason for it was to not exhaust his powers to quickly, but it happened anyway, and his powers only returned five hours later. He relaxed his gravity bending powers and opened up his teleportation range just enough so he could teleport all around the city. Although whenever he needed to use his gravity powers he would have to wait five minutes to return his normal power use to normal. Without hesitation he teleported into the city. Since Archive and Nova have the skies, I'll walk around for patrol. With that he began his patrol.

Archive found a tall building when he took a rest on for the moment. He had a few people in his head from this city and he was about to delve into his own mind to further examine their memories. Just to get an idea to where any trouble was most likely to pop up. Closing his eyes his mental presence diminished greatly as he dived into the vast expanse that was his mental realm. Though now in his own world Archive was not completely blind to the going ons about him. True he was more vulnerable in this state but he was not defenseless.

Jim had found it easier to move around the city since his teleportation limit had increased several fold. He walked around a few blocks, until he heard explosions happen. Everyone ducked their heads. Jim teleported immediately to the sight before anyone saw him. When he appeared, things were flying everywhere, specifically cops cars and police. He blocked the incoming rubble with his defense gravitational shield. When he was able to look, he was standing at a bank. In front were armored robbers with large guns. They were fired at incoming swat trucks, concussive waves were emmited. Aww no. This might be a problem. I could probably take them on, but five minutes is a really a long time. Then they saw him. "Hostage! Take him in with the others! Then Jim ran. He attempted to teleport when he was hit by thier concunssive blasts.

Nova's search had thus far proven fairly fruitless. What she suspected might have been a store of explosives turned out to be nothing more than a gas station, although technically the gasoline could be used as an explosive. Just then, she noticed several pinpricks of concentrated energy beneath her, along with human body heat signatures, along with The Unknown's unique energy signature. She swerved in mid-air and did a spiraling dive to investigate the situation. Bank robbers, from the sound of it. Although Omaha was normally a border town and thus ripe for crime, these crooks had chosen the wrong time for their heist. The robbers heard Nova's descent and looked up, but too late. She had shut off her flight and activated her invulnerability, landing with a crash of shattered asphalt in the middle of the road, between the Unknown and the armed criminals.
"Unknown, are you alright?" she asked him, trying to disguise the worry in her voice and sound more aloof. While her attention was turned behind her, the robbers aimed their weapons at her.
"Looks like we'll get a two for one deal today, boys! Bring her down!" their leader shouted, and Nova was hit by a barrage of concussive waves. She grunted, exerting her energy to protect her body from the waves but her reserves were depleting with each hit.

Unknown was thrown into a wall but held his balance when he fell. He heard Nova ask him a question, but he couldn't put it together since the waves made him dizzy. When their sights were aim to her, Unknown teleported to her, then teleported both of them to a roof of a building that was near the bank. When they appeared, he wrapped a cape that appeared on his arm around him. When it unwrapped he was in his hero uniform. "I'm glad you came, anymore of that and I would've been gone."

While the robbers were confused by the sudden disappearance of their hostages Archive took the chance to crush their weapons into a fine inoperable pulp with his immense mental powers before binding the entire group of criminals together with an invisible telekinetic ring. He floated the subdued criminals out to the police as he settled on the roof with the other two heroes. Remaining silent he kept a careful eye as the few cops that still remained to do their job arrested them. Shaking his head slightly the hero returned to his patrol. He sent a mental message to the two other heroes that they should do the same.

Nova observed from their rooftop position as Archive swept up the bewildered robbers, and smirked. "Efficient as usual, isn't he?" she said to Unknown as Archive left the scene to continue the search. "Just as well, we need to be ready for Positron's minions anyway, in case they ever show up." Nova shrugged, and got ready to take off.

Unknown smirked a little under his mask. He was formulating a strategy to go against the robbers. But Archive took them over without moving a single muscle. It was so quick. Getting attacked to going straight back into patrol. But maybe that was the hero life. Just doing the job and getting on with it. "Yeah he is." Unknown was about to teleport away when Nova had mentioned Positron. "Now that's a battle we'll need to go all out on." When he finished his comment, he teleported. He still had his gravity powers dormant, so his range was still high.

The Unknown teleported into an alleyway. No criminal activity, no action, no cat stuck in a tree. Nothing was happening. But The Unknown felt that it was best that way. As long as they were there nothing bad would happen. Then he heard his communicator beep. He got the message. Immediately he teleported away.
