Fort Sam Houston, located in San Antonio Texas, is a U.S. Army site for training medical personnel. The fort was named after the first President of the Republic of Texas (when Texas was a country all its own), Sam Houston. Despite its small size compared to most bases, Fort Sam Houston is famous for being the headquarters of AMEDD, the Army MEDical Department. Here you will find every medical profession being trained, from Combat Medic, to Mental Health Specialist, to Medical Doctors. Its close proximity to downtown San Antonio allows for soldiers there to have social interaction with the civilian world, a benefit not always shared by other military posts.Fort Sam Houston sits on the border between Positron's and Strategist's forces. Currently engaged in battle, the entire fort has been evacuated and locked down, pending the arrival of more military forces to help defend. Currently, the U.S. Air Force, operating out of nearby Lackland Air Force Base, is the only defense the area has against Positron, save for a few scattered heroes here and there.
