Pellumb skittered around the grassy stretch, looking down curiously when he felt his paw sink in. He lifted it, looked at the wet and muddy surface, and placed it down. He continued to walk with this new sensation at his paw tips.

 Miami saw the male coming towards her. She had been standing in the shallows of the water beyond the mud. It was a nice day and she liked to spend nice warm days in the water if she could. The flamingo girl liked to wade and walk in it more then she liked to swim. "Hiya."

Pellumb's ear twitched and he unsteadily looked up at the female who's voice he had heard. She was the only one around them he could see, and he looked side to side and down before waving back. "H-hi."

Miami smiled. "I'm Maimi. What are you doing out here? Are you stuck?" She asked as she looked at his feet in the mud. "I'm here to get cooled off in the water." She asked him before he even asked her.

Pellumb slightly jerked his head a little to the side to look at her. "S-stuck? No... N-no stuck..." He blinked as she answered the question he was going to ask. Did she just read his mind? "O-oh... really?"

Miami smiled. "Well, that's good. Cause I wasn't sure how to help you with that." She nodded. She didn't have wings to fly him out and she certainly didn't want to get muddy. "It's such a nice day I thought standing in the water would be nice. So, what are you doing?" She asked with another smile.

Pellumb smiled lightly and looked up at her, this girl seemed nice. "I was j-just walking... And.... n-now I'm here... But I don't know w-where 'here' is, or why I-I'm here..." He had to lift up has paws to keep them from getting too stuck.

"Well, I'm guessing that now you want to get in the water too... or else you will be muddy." Miami told him with a smile. "Want to go with me? It isn't far that's why there is mud." She asked again with a smile. Company would be nice.

Pellumb hadn't thought about cleaning up, he was still only half-aware that he was dirty. And he would have never guessed that this place was muddy because there was water nearby, things liek that just never seemed to click with him. SHe seemed nice though, so who was he to refuse? "Sure"

Miami nodded and began to walk to where the lake shore was. It was still pretty muddy until they reached the water. She walked in and began cleaning her paws. "Ah, that feels better." She smiled to the other.

Pellumb looked around wide-eyed as they got near water. He had to make sure to step quickly so that he wouldn't sink in. He smiled as they reached the water and rubbed his paws clean. "Yeah," he agreed as he smiled back at her.

"So, what's your name? I don't think you gave it yet?" If he had then she would just play it off somehow. "And you really don't remember what you were doing to get stuck?" She wondered what it was he had been doing.

Pellumb had been splashign some of the water on his face and shaking it off when he looked at her. "O-oh... sorry... I-I Pellumb... You...?" He couldn't remember if he got her name either, and hoped he hadn't so he wouldn't seem stupid. He shook his head. "I-I was just w-walking."

"Miami. Nice to meet you Pellumb." The flamingo girl told him with a smile. She wadded around in the water letting her gets feel the coolness of it. "Walking? That's nice. It is a nice day for it." She said as she looked to the blue sky and the sun just headed to the center of the sky.
