JUST missing the Victorian/Edwardian era by like - 2 years. Who has seen the play or movie- and what do you think?

I'm doing tech both for it- It opens Wednesday actually.

The Music Man, I believe, is set about the 1920s or so. I love it. A friend of mine was in it a few years back and I saw the stageshow.

What part of tech do you do?

Oh, oh, I saw the play when I was a kid. My grandpa took me. I also saw A Christmas Carol one year, and as a field school trip we went to see The Nutcracker.

I remember liking it, even as a kid (maybe 10 years old?).

I played Marcellus Washburn in a production of the Music Man in college, that was so fun! I still know the words to Shipoopi!

I've seen both the Robert Preston movie and the remake with Matthew Broderick. I'm partial to the Preston version.. I *adore* Robert Preston heart --the world lost a great actor when he shuffled off this mortal coil. crying

The Music Man is one of the few musicals that I like... I can watch it numerous times and not ever get tired of it. biggrin It was cute and funny--well, just an awesome movie.

I remember one of my friends used to sing me 'Lida Rose' all the time, it was very sweet... heart
